I thought I had an issue with Sky, so I telephoned their technical services. They went through their checklist; one of the questions was, "What TV are you connecting to?" When I told them it was a Tos... See more

aFTER PURCHASING A 65 INCH UHD TV FROM THEM HAD A PROBLEM BUT WHEN TRIED TO SORT OUT THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED AND SAID THEY KNEW OF THE PROBLEM WITH CERTAIN MODELS BUT TOLD THE CUSTOMER THEY HAD TO WAIT AS SOFTWARE PROBLEM BUT COULD NOT SAY WHEN IT WOULD BE SORTED THEY JUST BLAMED THE SOFTWARE PROVIDER AND THEN BOTH AGENTS CUT ME OFF BEFORE I WAS ALLOWED TO COMPLAIN.
Very bad experience with Toshiba
Very bad experience with Toshiba
Last was 50 Inc Smart TV from Argos UK.. screen problem after 16 months .. customer services useless .. Argos out of 1 year warranty. I will need to purchase a new one.
Previous same terrible experience with Toshiba laptop and external device caused me to lose a lot of data
Toshiba had a good reputation back in the 1980s , but has gone down hill ( in a major way ) .
I have black listed toshiba in my head forever
Flimsy, poor quality TV (CT95022)
I purchased a CT-95022 about 12 months ago. Today I decided to move it for the first time to a new room and in that short distance the screen has managed to break. Steer clear of Toshiba products. It's apparent that their products are very flimsy and poorly made. Lesson learnt. Never again for Toshiba.
For Techno nerds only
Purchased 32" Smart TV 32LK3C63DB Very difficult to set up. Easy start includes very few instructions, 2 screen pages for instruction menu and still failed to set up Text. Help sent me written instruction and said if this does not work (it didn't) try this but you may lose the red button feature and some apps. Why have a text button on the remote if it does not work?, If you want subtitles try tuning a Mulberry bush.
This company needs to test their product on an average customer before marketing. Remember no retailer gives installation guidance now. Had to pressure to get a refund.
Toshiba Smart Tv 43" fire 43UF3D53DB
Smart Tv 43" fire - 43UF3D53DB.
Disaster of a TV
3 good reasons to avoid this TV:
1. sound of internal speakers was so muffled we had to check the back of the TV in case we had left some packaging tape on. An EQ (base treble) feature may have corrected this, but it was greyed out in the set up menus. Alexa got confused when we asked her/it to do it.
2. Was any feature supported or accessible - who knows: no user guide manual. What comes in the box is an install guide, that has a QR code to the on-line user manual. The QR code goes to a 404 on the toshiba site. Could not find the manual anywhere on the site - just found the brochure. searched the whole interweb for it - nil.
3. Worst of all we got black "blinks" on freeview HD channels. Each blink is about 1/5 of a second and happens a couple of times a minute.
Epic fail. Back to Argos
Poor Tv, very cheap.
Paid £300 for a 50 inch TV. Could not download half the apps I wanted so then had to buy a Firestick, which was great. After 13 months (just after warranty expired) picture went very glitchy and stopped worked. The Tv had never been moved, knocked or damaged. Spoke to Toshiba, they did not want to know.
Toshiba Smart TV. OK for the price but the Apps are a joke
Toshiba Smart TV. Model Number 43uk4d63db. To be honest not a bad picture quality and sound is fairly good and lots of volume with shed loads of different settings, although I never need it on much more than volume 10 even though my hearing is rubbish, but what really let's this tv down is the Apps!!!! They are absolutely dire and not worth having, Apps that I have never seen or even heard of!! wish I could delete 99% of them but are preinstalled, a few mainly Euronews do not even work at all, the tv is suprising lightweight and only weights 7.5kg. It is my guess that even though this tv is branded as a Toshiba it is not a Toshiba at all and is made by a entirely different company!!!! Also never seems to get any updates, This may partly explain why various reviews are saying Toshiba no longer to the standard they once were,

Wish I had paid extra £100 and got a better brand , toshiba had a good reputation back in the 1980s , but has gone down hill ( in a major way ) . The tv just stopped working just after a year ….. wish I had read reviews before buying . Customers service non compliance…… money down the drain . I have black listed toshiba in my head forever
I bought 2 toshiba tvs.
I bought 2 toshiba tvs.
One resulted in black screen within one year or so of purchase.
The replacement has now stopped showing anything other than a cctv channel.
I called toshiba helpline which resulted in that channel also being erased after following their 'help'?
Never buy Toshiba
I would demand a refund if I thought they were a reputable company
Toshiba TV not worth the money or the hassle.
I bought a Toshiba TV in Dec last year. The new ITVX. App won’t allow me to watch live TV as it’s software is not compatible to Toshiba?? I also can’t download Talk TV app as it’s not compatible with Toshiba? Even though customer service ( and I use the term loosely) had never heard of it. How many more I wonder am I going to come across. Rubbish TV
Toshiba TV - Avoid
My 4K Toshiba Model No: 58UL2B63DB started developing horizontal lines after a year, similar to other reviews posted earlier. Toshiba does not honor their 2-year warranty as advertised on the TV box but instead refers me to the retailer that is also unable to help. Instead, consider other more reputable brands.
Avoid Toshiba
Bought new TV. Paper manual is just a couple of badly printed sheets and almost useless, and refers to using website, Toshiba's own website refuses to recognise model number and give a manual. Tried to register for warranty on the website, refuses to do that as well. Cannot send an e-mail as Toshiba website form refuses to recognise model and serial number. No general e-mail addess available for Toshiba UK. Onscreen TV programme guide is locked onto set up mode and difficult to use. Buy a different TV, Toshiba is not worth the hassle - no manual available either online or paper, and difficult to set up.
UPDATE remote control rarely works as well. Have arranged to return it to Argos for refund and buy a Panasonic instead.

Toshiba tv rubbish
We got a Toshiba tv from tesco We just moved house so we didn't watch it much. Because we were in the other living room while we did it up. So after about a year it started to flickering and lines all over now we just got a black screen absolutely rubbish tv. So now we have to buy a new one only had it a year an half.

bought tv for my son when he moved in new house didnt put it on till house was finished renovation had it 13 months screen gone all funny toshiba wont do anything out of warranty paid 400 pound 58 inch tv absolute appalling customer service tv should last more than 12 months not fail a month after guarantee runs out so you have to basically buy a new tv every 13 months what a joke company
Toshiba dont
I had a toshiba NAS drive that had 3 years warranty. It failed after 1 year, well within warranty, but Toshiba dont honour drive warranty, make it impossible to return it. Lookup Toshiba Warranty/RMA UK.
Faulty TV returned. Keep your packaging and plastic on the surround of the TV
Shocking. It seemed a good option, but then again, I'm not "down with the kids" so who am I to have an opinion?! 🙄😁
This TV did, deliver everything, good picture, good sound, BUT, the two pin plug into the TV to connect all that was promised.. Needed pushing in hard, wiggling around. To produce an on/off button flashing between green and red, then, crashed to a blank screen. I was patient. This happened on numerous occasions. The next morning I tried switching on the TV. Blank. I purchased this TV on the 12th January, by the 30th January 2023, I'd made up my mind to return it. Argos were fantastic with their returns. Toshiba need to seriously look at this particular model and log the returns or it could damage the company's reputation.
Two TVs
Toshiba tv’s
I bought one tv in November 2020 ( not used for several months until room was renovated ) and then another May 2021. Both the same tv but slightly different model number.
55” smart TVs
Over Xmas time tv 1 looked out of colour on one strip but it wasn’t on very colour / background.
A couple of weeks later it just goes , there was a pop apparently and just a blue screen. Got onto toshiba who wanted me to try different options but I kept messaging back saying that I can’t do any of it as I can’t get a display up on the tv. It is just blue was a faint shade around the left top corner.
Then a few days ago a simailr thing has happenended to the second tv! Just in a different place , there is a purple line running all across the bottom of the screen. ( as of today 30/1) purple line has double in width and now is purple/ orange)
I rang Toshiba and they discussed my first complaint and said basically tough it’s been over 12 months. Get it repaired yourself!
I did say when I bought the TV I’m sure it had 24 months warranty and that’s why I picked this one! Apparently even if that were true now they’re out the EU it’s only 12 months and referred me to their website!
It’s only a matter of time before this second tv gives up I would imagine.
The guy apologised on the phone but said he only works there and nothing he can do. I did say how would you feel if it happened to you. He said he wouldn’t be very happy!
One of the TVs in particular has barely been used.
Now basically over £700 down.
Toshiba not wanting to help. Not Interested. Looked at reviews on here ,would never have bought them if I had seen these reviews!
I don’t consider these TVs have last a reasonable time. They’re clearly very poorly made.
I will be taking this further. What an absolute rip off!

Last just over 2 years now got black screen 49V5863DB and remote rubbish on them
