If I could rate it less than a 1 star…

If I could rate it less than a 1 star than I would. I just received a purchase I ordered 7 months ago and it’s not even close to what I ordered. Then looking back at my order history I still haven’t received an order I made in 2019. The status says shipped. This all has to be a joke. I had to laugh when I noticed that after receiving my recent order from 7 months ago. Good luck to anyone that rolls the dice and buys something from this site. Absolutely hysterical.

This company was once pretty good

This company was once pretty good. Not so much now. 4+ Months for delivery; the last purchase I gave up on, they do not even list that I ordered it. Buy at your own risk or throw your money into the garbage for better results.

Should have read reviews b4 ordering

Should have looked them up before ordering. My experience has been as bad or worse than the other reviewers. It has taken over a month to even get feedback on my order, and supposedly it has been waiting on the shipper for 2 weeks. Don't know where these folks are based, but suspect not very local. If this is the experience on the front end, imagine if there are any issues w the product when, or if, it arrives.

Never buy anything from this company

Never buy anything from this company! They are a disgrace. Most products come from China, they are overpriced, and always cheap quality. You have to pay 100% up front, rarely a store credit is offered, and there is no contacting any live person. If this were a restaurant would you really go order food from a place that only has 1.5 stars? Bound to make you sick! Last item took 6 weeks to ship and then didn’t work once arrived, it was Christmas time and I didn’t realize there was a 7 day from usps receipt to return for a credit only.

Were you scammed by touch of modern?

Anyone reading this. You need to form a class action. Theres over 1 billion dollars in unpaid bills since 2017. They use a abc California rule to say they went bankrupt and dont owe vendors money while allowing them to stay in business. Our brand lost sbout 20k

- buy items and file chargebacks to make then feel the burn
- look up the corrupt cfo and lawyer Elizabeth, when I went against her she hired a lawyer, do anything you can as she's the one who needs to be taken down check her out on LinkedIn.

Gather all people and find a class action lawyer, this will be huge. Takes effort and time but chip away at them.

Touch of modern well behind the times…

Touch of modern well behind the times not modern at all! In days of overnight or 2 day shipping from almost every retailer, touch of modern takes over a month to prepaid and ship their orders, when you inquire you are given a snotty reply “shipping dates are clearly marked on the product page”. Sure in fine print.

Vendor since 2016, but payments from 2024 are still outstanding and nobody will respond.

We founded our company in 2012, and have put everything on the line to get where we are today. The practices and behavior of ToMo pertaining to invoices that are 15 months overdue is worthy of sharing and giving notice to anyone considering doing business with them. The sad reality is that we did have success with them in 2016 and for several years after then. The most recent interactions in 2023 and 2024 have resulted in frustration, lost product, absent payments and radio silence from all channels.

I would strongly advise against doing business with them, and if you do, know you are rolling the dice and subjecting yourself to known bad actors.

Disappointed Supplier - Still no payment, 12 months later

Seller here - Element Ring Co - We have hosted 12 sales with Touch of Modern dating back to 2015. We have always delivered 100% of orders on time to Touch Of Modern for their fulfilment to the customer. We have never missed a beat having fulfilled 100% of our commitment. Touch of Modern however is now >12 months past due on paying us for our latest sale (August of 2024). Super disappointed in their communication, and complete disregard for paying their suppliers. Without caring for your suppliers, you will suffer and the business will die if it hasn't already. Godspeed and sucks for us & all other suppliers stuck in the same boat.

I've seen many items that are grossly…

I've seen many items that are grossly overpriced for what they are. For example, a 750 ml bottle of Crown Royal chocolate flavor is "on sale" for $125. Meanwhile I just bought that bottle at my local liquor store for $25.

TOUCH OF MODERN DOESN'T PAY THEIR VENDORS

Touch of Modern swindled nearly $3,000 worth of merchandise from our business, shopforeverknives.com, over the course of three sales giving various excuses for nonpayment. Despite repeated emails, there has been no response or communication from their side. I got all the proof, including invoices and PO numbers, yet they continue to ignore me.

Can't wait to see response to this.

Thieves

Thieves. Seriously. They stole a few thousand dollars from us. They are lying, cheating, soulless sociopaths. They set up small businesses to do sales for them, it takes a lot of work. But will they pay you for your products that were sold, nope. They screwed us royally. Do not ever ever buy from these absolute losers. Pathetic low life scum.

I purchased a watch with a 1-2 week…

I purchased a watch with a 1-2 week delivery, it is going on the fourth week and nothing. I was purchasing for a birthday which has come and gone. If you have anything time sensitive do not purchase here. Also, after I purchased the watch, I went online and found better prices, I purchased another similar watch from a reputable dealer and it arrived within 3 days. So, moral of the story, if you like a product, shop around, might find it elsewhere cheaper and will get it much faster.

I've been buying from touch of modern for the last 10 years. The shipping really has never gotten good. Unless it states will ship out in a week in certain instances then it comes in on time. Other than that, rarely on time

No customer service at all

I tried to cancel an item the day after ordering it. I had two weeks before it was slated to ship so I thought it wouldn't be a problem. When i saw the order was still open after a week I tried to cancel again. The order STILL shipped, and after receiving it I tried deleting my account. I have YET to hear from their "customer service" at any point. I just put in another request to delete my account. I'm sure I won't hear back from this shady "business." Shame, I've been a customer for years, but that's over now.

UPDATE: One month later and they STILL haven't responded!

Absolutely Frustating

My experience with this marketplace has been absolutely frustrating. After several months of collaboration, I am still waiting for the payment of the sales made. The platform promises timely payments, but in reality, they never deliver. Not only have I had to face unjustified delays, but their customer service also doesn’t respond or provide clear solutions.

It's unbelievable that a company that relies on suppliers to offer products does not honor its financial commitments. I have tried to reach out several times, but I only get automated responses that solve nothing.

If you are thinking about selling on this marketplace, I recommend you think twice. It's not worth risking working with a platform that doesn't fulfill its responsibilities. I am still waiting for my money.

I ordered two lamps in March

I ordered two lamps in March. They have changed the delivery date twice. I requested a refund on May3rd which was a day after the last confirmed delivery date. Crickets!!

Vendors beware. Scam alert

Vendors beware.

We fulfilled two approved purchase orders for Touch of Modern and never got paid. It’s been over 7 months, and they’ve ignored all communication.

We’ve filed formal complaints with the FTC and California Attorney General.

This isn’t a payment delay — it’s a pattern. Be very careful.

Alert Stay Away from these crooks

Have been waiting for 3 months for order. Excuses, offering discounts, etc. just like other complaints. Shame on me for falling for this ripoff scheme. I hope the mgt all get arrested soon. Touch of Ripoffs!

Order has been lost with DHL for over…

Order has been lost with DHL for over 30 days. Paid $300 for a pair of sun glasses and paid extra for the insurance to cover them if they got lost. Neither Touch of Modern nor their insurance company will do anything but send emails stating they are working on the issue.
