⭐ 1 star – Serious concerns about payment practices and refusal to refund

I engaged this company in January–February 2026 regarding trademark applications. I have used them many years ago, which is why I trusted them initially.

I made a £20 test payment to confirm bank details. When I attempted to pay the remaining balance (£1,920), my bank’s Fraud Protection team (via 159) blocked the payment and advised me not to proceed, citing multiple red flags including website risk flags, payment method concerns, and negative reviews.

I immediately informed the company that the payment was blocked and requested a refund of the £20, as no authorised service had been provided. Despite this, the company:

continued to pressure me to make payment

did not address the refund request

has since stopped engaging regarding the £20 refund

I was left with no option but to report the matter, despite the amount being small. The refusal to refund such a minor sum, combined with the payment pressure after a fraud block, raised serious concerns for me.

I would strongly advise others to exercise caution, especially around payment methods and advance transfers.

Took the money six months ago -no trademark provided.Now unfindable.

Scam organisation. Charged us for registered mark for two registrations. They did not complete any action since 1st March 2024. Not telephone in use . Not replaying to emails.Our bank details has been saved on their records unsafe.
Please all users who been scamed by this company to get in touch and to mobilise together to sue the scamers and get refund.

Complete scam. Respond to emails and enquires quickly until you pay then they dont respond at all and take your money. Phone number is no longer in service. Fake trustpilot review score on thier website

Complete scam company - taken full payment and have ignored any further comms since Nov 24. Phone numbers now disconnected and no way to get hold of.

please do not use this company, i have emailed them over 15 times and they never respond.i paid £1200 for my US trademark and ignored me with no updates. they responded once and told me someone will reach out and they never did. i have reported this company already.

The fact I have to give them one star hurts me.

It’s a Scam people. They took the best part of £600 from me. Such a waste of time I’ll be filing through the Government website from now on and I advise anyone else to do the same. If you need help with it you can always hire an attorney later down the road if you’re struggling.

Deeply regret choosing Trademark Direct for our trademark application. This company has been nothing but a nightmare to deal with. After paying them upfront, we heard nothing back. No updates, no progress, nothing at all.

We've tried contacting them countless times over the past several months. Each time, we were promised callbacks or follow-up emails, but they never followed through. They're a bunch of scammers. Looking at their website again, you see all the fake reviews they have posted on their site.

If you're considering using Trademark Direct, I'd strongly advise against it. Save your time, money, and sanity—find a more reliable company that will actually do the work and treat you with respect.

If you've also made the same mistake as us and lost your money, try to dispute the transaction in your online banking.

The trustpilot score they show on their website is of course different to their very low score on here. It is an image not a live widget that shows their up to date score.
They are using a virtual office which pick up phone calls, chat to you on live chat, reply back to you on emails.
We have paid them nearly a year ago and they haven't been responding since. We have found out they did not even make an application for us. I don't think they will respond to this review but in case they do, we have confirmed this with the relevant IP Office.

They refuse to answer any of my emails. I will have to place a fraud report on my credit card. BEWARE

Please do not use this company as they take your money and never reply. I have been trying for nearly a year to get a reply after taking thousands of pounds for trade marks.

I payed in full more than 45 days ago and they dont answer any email or calls, they are a scam company, and I already started legal complains against them, hope the goverment shutdown this scam company or someone get at jail

I’ve used Trademark Direct several times over the years and have been successful with registering 3 trademarks. However more recently, I have filed another 3 trademarks over the last 6 months or so but have insights on their status and have not been able to hear from the representatives despite numerous emails, messages in the portal and phone calls. Would be awesome to hear from someone soon, because apart from the lack of communication (only recently in my case), TMD do offer a good service

Shocking service, comminication and outcome.
I lodged our Trademark a year ago and we paid upfront a substantial sum. I found out that 3 months ago our application was refused. Nobody from the company informed us and as such the time allocation to respond has passed.
I have tried to call them 3 times, left messages and no response. Seem to be a take your money and do nothing company.

I submitted a trademark application to Trademark Direct in early December 2023. Their lack of communication was not good, I had to try 2-3 times before they actually responded. They then took my money for my application, over £500 in early December 2023 and gave me the impression that it was submitted because I didn’t hear anything from them after asking them to proceed with the application in response to an email they sent me asking for my approval and paying the fees that same day. I responded to their email in writing by the way. I didn’t receive a response from the IPO for over 2 months. In February 2024, I chased Trademark Direct multiple times and after numerous attempts, they finally got back to me saying they apologise for the lack of communication due to half term and holidays etc and said my trademark application is with the IPO for review. It’s now 5th March and I still didn’t hear anything from the IPO so I checked their website and it states the IPO only received my application on 14 February 2024 which is after what they told me in their response. Their email response implied that it was submitted before January 2024. This is unacceptable and I am outraged. I have asked to be compensated financially and I will be making an official compliant. My advice - stay away from Trademark Direct.

AVOID! Registered our trade mark under a different company and communication is terrible. Worst service provider I have ever worked with.
