We visited Sunday lunch time,
We ordered chicken wings and nachos (both were horrible) the chicken wings were burnt and tasted like they had been cooked in very old dirty oil….The nachos were soggy and the toppings tasted bitter and vinegary, to top it all my beer was cloudy.

Giving one star because I have to but honestly deserves zero!
Absolutely awful, started by being told you’re at this number table, it’s over there normally you get shown to the table. Sat down and ordered food and drinks via the app. Drinks came shortly after and were flat then the starters came and they were hot and quite nice. Then an hour after we had ordered the food it finally arrived at the table. And what can I say aside from it was vile. The mega mixed grill was missing items, the steak was burnt and massively overcooked asked for medium and received well done. The steak americano was cold, the steak was tough and chewy. All food relating to the mains was cold and disgusting. However after waiting an hour. We were not sending it back because we just so hungry and it took that long to come out cold anyway. We did not even bother with desserts because so many people around us had already been waiting for long enough. And it was not worth the £86 we had already spent.

Also whilst we there, another customer spilt her drink and smashed her glass, not one member of staff approached to see if she was okay until another customer from a different table went and found one. Customer service was appalling, staff were too interested in standing around having chats with people to do their job. Bar staff actively ignored at least 3 members of the public who were waiting. Final thing when using the ladies toilets there was strong smell of stale urine.

We will not be returning. Absolutely disgusted

Greeted and sat lovely as found us a table on the flat as disabled. Got drinks ok. Then it went downhill. Starters came. Hubby's BBQ wings had to go back as the chicken was stone cold. Had to ask for my accompliments as where totally missing. My coating on the cauliflower was burnt and a tad greasy. Hubby's replacement wings came after several minutes and they were hot on the coating but just warm. He ate as I was just sat there as they took my empty plate away. Hubby really wanted the steak as a lot of steaks on the menu. Only advise no steaks available. Bit rubbish especially on a Friday. He had mixed grill where the gammon was burnt. The meal was again just warm except for the hot chips. I had the katsu burger. I could hardly swallow as so crunchy and dry. No wonder their leafleting and advertising 40% off just to get customers through the door. Maybe if you got meals lovely people would come and pay full price. Over heard the table next to us also really complaining. We Certainly won't come here again even if offered 100% off.

Absolutely disgusting! I cleaned the salt n pepper pots and menu with antibacterial wipes! Dirty gravy finger marks on all! Carvery meat was ok! But the vegetables were all dried out! Roast potatoes were soft n greasy! I wished I had complained at the time but just ate what I could and left in less than hour! I left a great review 3 years ago complimenting the carvery but has certainly gone down hill! Do they not have a cleaner to oversee salt n pepper pots and sauce containers and menus on the tables! Disgusting!

Having previously been a regular at Trading Post as a family we had drifted away due to average! visits. We decided to pay a visit on the 17th June. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to notice smiles when we entered (missing in the last few visits). Being swiftly seated and made comfortable we proceed to order beverages, the contrast was remarkable from previous visits. The staff we smartly dresses and extremely professional, looking to assist customers. This continued throughout our visit with table service and carvery team, pleasant and professional. We passed on our comments to a previous acquaintance, who running the outfit we knew from another establishment. Looks like the atmosphere has followed her here to the Trading Post.
So sum up 'Great food , excellent service and professionalism.
Keep sprinkling that fairy dust its working. Best regards Chris

Xmas party/meal
Food nice but terrible service. I had to leave the table to ask for each course to be served, no interaction with party from staff. Slow service. Dread to think how they are going to cope nearer Xmas.

Not been to this pub for a while because it was pretty bad alround.
However, we received some vouchers, my wife and myself decided to have a look if anything had improved.
What a surprise, it was quite busy on that Friday afternoon and we had a welcome with a smile.
We ordered our food and drinks and our food came fairly quickly, it was hot and very nice.My fish cooked to perfection and my wives scampi the same.
All and all a pleasant visit and made so much nicer by an efficient and smiling Lilly who served us.
We will be back.

We have been to the Trading post on numerous occasions but this was by far the best
To be greeted at the carvery with a beaming smile and a polite what meat would you like by Haley was a refreshing change food was superb bar staff very polite absolutely lovely we will definitely return thankyou

We had a meal here last week I ordered a steak and ale pie which when it come tasted like they put the sugar bowl in it as I’m diabetic I couldn’t eat it. My partner had fish and chips the fish was very very dry so neither of us had eaten the meal so the plates were nearly full,when the guy collected them. He didn’t ask what was wrong with the meals, he didn’t say nothing very poor meal won’t be going again.. also done a review what I was in the pub to let them know how bad it was and nobody has been in contact with me. So obviously not interested.

11 of us went for a bank holiday meal 6th may 24…. And 7 of us had the carvery… absolutely disgusting the meat (beef) couldn’t eat it…. None of us did…. roast potatoes rock hard… carrots rock hard… wont be going back there in a hurry… waited 40 minutes for dunking doughnuts for 2 of the children appalling.

Lovely chilli veggie BUT no rice served with it! Chef suggested i bring my own'cook in bag', and he would cook it. Senior management said No. so may I suggest: cook rice; keep in fridge and microwave, when needed. George Curzon

on saturday the 22nd july 2023 at 1020 in the evening i and 2 lady friends i was travelling with needed to stop on our trip to refresh and enjoy a drink , we entered the pub in kettering and there was quite a few others alreday seated , we ordered 3 drinks it took them 10 mins to serve them nice enough fella at the bar tbh , as we took our seats a girl came over and said last orders ? i looked at my watch and said its only 1030 its 11 saturday night surely " not here she says" and walks off we and all the others around were surprised so we all got a send drink to take us to 11 only to be told by the same girl you better be quick with that as we lock the doors at 11 sharp and the pub must be clear to say all concerned was surprised at this treatment is an understatement ! we left at 10 55 leaving half the last drink and when we got outside the rain was torrential all the outside lights were off and we could not see a clear path to the car ? one of the ladies i was with tripped on a curb and hurt her knee i went back to enter it into the accident book only to find the doors all locked and interior lights out we will never use this pub or any other in the chain again terrible service and attitude avoid !
