Abysmal customer service
My experience with this company is limited – and that is probably better this way.
I had to take a simple ESOL/B1 equivalent English test (that is now required to obtain the British citizenship). I took this test on the 13 Feb 2015. As I am a translator by trade, this was a mere formality and the examination itself went well.
My complaint: Appointment was made for 1:30, I was told the exam would take approx 20 minutes. Upon arrival, it turned out we were about 10 candidates for this same exam. We were ferried from a waiting room to the next. We soon found out that the last of us would have to wait over two hours from the appointment time (TrainingConnect forgot to tell us about that) to be seen by the examiner. These guys obviously do not care if you have jobs or other things to do.
We were not told anything, not offered a glass of water or anything during the wait.
Now, more than 15 days down the line, still no news from these guys. Just phoned them and they say that, oh yeah, we were thinking about writing to you, you will have to come and collect the exam certificate. Which they forgot to tell me about. Or they can mail it to me, but that it would cost me £10 (funny when signed for first class mail costs £1.72).
Basically, my complaint is that TrainingConnect 1/ does take your time for granted and 2/ they seem to find creative charges at every turn.
I was not told upfront about the timeframe conditions of the exam or the additional costs. Therefore, I found that TrainingConnect does not care much about you as a customer.
