Third and final time

Third and final time purchasing parts from them. The first time was ok two vescs. Way too expensive but worked fine. Not better than the ones that cost half as they still cutout at lower than advertised amps, completely unreliable at high speeds and don't have a strong enough signal for my remote. So i buy TRAMPA remote wand and dongle. They sent out defective dongle for wand. After weeks of negotiating and a video call to prove i didn't ruin it they sent the new - but wrong dongle with no antenna. Ok ill figure it out ted can keep the extra 5£. Wand stops working after less than a year so unwilling to argue about warranties and quality i buy new wand and dongle with antenna.

They send it to wrong address and cause a customs nightmare then say it is “unwise” for me to keep outdated profile info on their outdated, un-navigable, wacked out website. Blame shifting is for children, Ted.
The shipping address and contact information i provided at checkout is all customs needs. Customs doesn't need my height, weight, rider experience and stance. WHY do i have to have a profile? WHY send all that to customs? With an old address and number?
I will now have to pay double the taxes €120 and double shipping €45.
Save yourself the money and hassle and buy from smaller brands or china. At least they know how to be online merchants and the product quality is the same.
Tldr;
Terrible customer service and low quality parts.

Trampa does the job better than most!

I started off by asking loads of questions about trampa products after being reluctant due to bad feedback online. All questions were answered with confidence and I made arrangements to go into trampa HQ to test the boards for my self. This was a 2hr drive for me and it was worth going as i could see how the boards are built and get a better understanding of how things work. The guys all seem to have fun at there job and are keen to get you up and riding asap, I think some folks take there seemingly more laid back approach the wrong way but it reduces stress in the work place. I personally had no issues with the service provided, nor did i feel customer service was bad. I feel more then confident if there is ever a problem they will sort it out!

After going over the huge list of customisation parts I placed my order without having to spend a penny up front!
When I got the board delivered there was a bit of things I had to figure out but they were quick to respond to my email and sort it along with the trampa forum group there is alot of help out there!

I have had my custom trampa board about a month and it been put through allot of extreme test, snow, rain, mud, jumps, mountains, cobbles, etc. It is one of the best if not the best product out there for the job.

A-holes!

Arrogant has been a word used in a couple reviews here, and now I'm using the word again. I'm not going to list all my issues along with the HORRIBLE, Arrogant customer service, just further warning people to stay away from this company. The customer service & quality issues are fairly well documented on the net, I just wished I had payed more attention to them. If you're reading this, you've been warned. STAY AWAY from Trampa (CRAPA?)!!!

Key points to keep in mind BEFORE ORDERING!

They sell faulty/ bad design boards which have defect in manufacture.
They will make you pay for their mistakes.
There is basically no returns or warranty! Even if you discover that your board has defect in manufacture the first minute you opened the box, they will only return you 80% and you pay postage (about 300euro)!
If you have used the board and then discovered that it has some defect and want to return it they will reduce the price of all parts THEY think are used from that 80%. First you will have to send it to them and they will then tell you what they will reduce... Isn't it nice!
You tell them that you want your money back and they will reply "We don't cover return shipping for unwanted items". You tell them that you recieved the board and it had defect in manufacture from the moment you opened the box and they will reply: "Our boards are custom made to order and we have no obligation to refund a custom made product."
Basically they don't care how faulty the board is when they sell it to you because they know that a)You will loose 20% b)You will have to pay 300e for postage c) On top of that they will reduce all parts that have wear. They know it will cost you over 750e to return the board and they know you will probably not gonna do it.
The wheels on the board are not balanced. If you won't balance them the wobble (static and dynamic imbalance) will eventually damage gears and bearings. That is the sound you hear when riding it... Trampa will tell you that the wobble is normal and yes, YOU will pay for the broken bearings and everything else. I had to add 20-30grams on each wheel to fix static imbalance, there is also dynamic imbalance but I can't measure it so can't fix it..
Pls google "Rotating unbalance" and read for yourself how bad it is for bearings and gears if you don't believe me, you will find stuff like this: "The force caused by unbalance increases by the square of the speed. If the speed is doubled, the force quadruples; if the speed is tripled the force increases by a factor of nine!" All of that extra force will be absorbed bearings, gear and motor shortening their life.
The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced anywhere. Arrogant, ignorant and unable to accept their mistakes. It does not matter how many photo or video you will take, they will make it sound that it was you who caused the problem and simply ignore the facts. Saying "Adjust the backslash", or "If you have adjusted backslash over 20 times and the sound is still there then you are clearly doing something wrong". Like I said they know it will cost you over 750euro to get rid of that faulty board. This was very expensive(2300euro), very stressful (10/10), over 1,5 months and +100 emails and they didn't acknowledge at any point that the wheel wobble and resulting ear piercing gear oscillation(resonance frequencies of the wobble) was because of their sloppy quality or bad design. Only thing I can recommend is to stay away from this company.

Can't recommend this to anyone

Can't recommend this to anyone. The customer service is rude and arrogant. They won't tell you anything when you buy the board. They might say that it's superb quality and that you will be happy using it... but you will quickly see that the quality is sloppy and when you get you board and have first issue with it then you will notice the unanswered emails and rudeness. This company don't care about their customers, they only care about the money. As soon as they get your money, they stop caring about you and your board. Look at their outdated and sloppy webpages, all the mistakes, false and misleading info. All of that is a reflection of company culture and the owners values and beliefs. Keep away, don't fall in to the trap.

I can't recommend this company enough

I can't recommend this company enough. The product quality is fantastic, delivery is fast, and they are very helpful on the phone and by email.

They have a couple of areas they could improve, like design of the website could be nicer, sometimes something is missing from an order, and they could be better at providing information/guides for self building electric boards using their products (although their youtube channel does help with this).

But any issues I had, they have resolved promptly and at their own cost. There is no company that makes offroad boards as good as Trampa, and they genuinely support and befriend the community.

People going in with no prior knowledge of building or maintaining electric boards should probably buy their full builds, rather than jumping in the deep and and buying parts to assemble. Or even better go visit them, rent one of their boards for a ride with them, and talk to them about what you want right there at their warehouse (details on their facebook page). This will really help you get what is right for you, so you only buy once.

Ultimately, this is the only company I would buy a complete board from, for riding offroad. Be that woodland tracks and trails, maintainbike trails/jumps, etc. Their prior experience in downhill maintainboarding, and their great products, truly make them the best in class for this.

These guys are a scam and it all starts…

These guys are a scam and it all starts In the electric boards because I do have to admit their quality and prices in terms of the mountain boards it self must be one of the best, but as soon as you start getting into the electrical it’s all shady shady and the service starts getting awful, I spend over 7000$ witch was 2 and half complete electric boards in total over the past two years and the shipment yes it’s fast but your are paying big money for it and it was always coming wrong something missing. For example the time when I bought their double battery charger I bought two at the same time one for me and one for my neighbour. When we got them we realized we could not charge two batteries at the same time witch was the goal of the whole thing, we emailed Dave asking him how do we charge two batteries at the same time witch again it’s the main purpose of the charger and it was amazing This guy Dave would reply to us back saying just charge one battery lol I was stunned! we had to ask him three times and every email he would reply same thing finally I figured out the kit does not come with the 12s splitter XT90 witch is essential for the whole operation... why they don’t put it in please let me know!!! After words I bought two vesc6 and one 75v/300A vesc (only cause I’m a sucker for design and that they do have but their prices have no relation with their quality or service because it’s literally even less powerful and probably same quality as any Flipsky 200A vesc or the dual Alienpower Vesc for half the price and double the power) so yeah they do not sell dual vesc and that’s fine cause the dual at the end it’s always going to be two vesc in one but this 75v/300A confused me because it comes with 9 outputs and even though they sell it for the use of one motor Witch also was weird because manual saying you have to solder every three braids together but anyways I ignored that and I thought well how bad can it be to use this on two motors, turns out it works nice with two motors it will control them separately nicely if you don’t exceed 40v input as soon as I added 50v using two motors It caught fire. Now that’s all good thatA my fault but guess what? cost me almost 900$ + plus shipping and it’s garbage they cannot repair they do not know where to repair and they will not offer discount if you ask for another one on top I complained explaining that its not fair that my iPhone I bought for the same price financed, felt from a 16 floor building and still I was able to recovered everything was replaced and my memory was intact. After this email they banned me. So they cut me off just for demanding a little help Again after I had spent over 7000$ on them. So my advice: get their complete boards and whatever you do stay away from their electrical business. And this story is much much longer filled with shady details so feel free to ask me anything. Also their board design seams like it’s not patent so feel free to make your own.

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience.

Just want to point out to anyone reading - Never try to power two motors off a single VESC 75v/300A - It will not work nice, and is a quick way to waste some money - under 40V or not.

The VESC 75V/300A has 9 output cables for sharing/splitting high loads, not for powering multiple motors.

Worst company I've ever had the…

Worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. I bought my cousins trampa board from him unmotorized then bought motors and such from trampa. 1st the motor was ridiculous putting together the online manual wasn't even for the right motor and was missing screws and pieces. Then after the trucks don't match up with the motor mount and wheels, so I have to grind down the axle or buy a new one to make it fit. The simple metal plating for the battery box is over $350 from them. They do not even have a dual vesc for their motors and you will need to buy two separate ones at over 150 a piece to get it to work. The luxury carry case my cousin payed extra for doesn't even fit, although that's partially my fault after getting bigger tires, but not designing something to fit with all your products is a huge flaw on them. Only redeemable quality is there customer service, and that's that they answer at all, even then I got nothing of value out of talking to them. Overall I've spent close to 3k on this board and still haven't even ended with a good working product. THIS IS NOT WORTH THE PURCHASE LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Do not buy from this compay!!

Do not buy from this compay!!

I had problem with the delivery, which was sent to another place than my address. I would have to go 10 km to another suburb to collect the parcel.
Not Trampas fault, but they claim that they have no responsibility and they tell me that they don´t wan´t me as a customer rather than solving the problem and contacting the courirer that has been contracted for this delivery...

According to the answer from Trampa, it consists of 3 persons only, and they appear to be teenagers all!

Do NOT trust this company.
