The buses and trains are always very clean. MOST of the drivers are very friendly and greet passengers with a smile. The timetables for both the train and the buses are very accurate and bus drivers are trained very well; their driving skills are good! Transperth is one of the world's safest, accurate and polite public transport services ever. 👍😊
Transperth's bus & rail services are generally excellent but Customer service is on occasion, abysmal.
Having lost my driver's license on a bus I was surprised and impressed that the driver found it & recognised me from the photo. She informed me that it was returned to Karrinyup depot - then problems began.
1. On calling the number, was told "reception is closed" but no further information given.
2. Called at Perth Underground but after 10 minutes no resolution other than I'd need to go to that depot to collect my licence.
3. A train ride & 2 buses later was faced with a 20 minute walk, eventually finding my destination.
4. Collected licence, repeated the return journey, total 3 hrs 10 minutes.
Conclusion - WHY Karrinyup? Surely all lost property should go to a convenient central location - obviously PERTH UNDERGROUND?
This is not customer service but customer inconvenience.
PS - Another C.S. failure - CAT buses do NOT run on public holidays, despite all signs at CAT stops saying that they do.
As usual, zero response from Transperth! Apparently they do not give a s**t.
