Worst Experience - Koh Samui to Pattaya
I was very disappointed with my experience travelling from Koh Samui to Pattaya with TravelBusAsia.
The biggest issue was the lack of transparency regarding the journey. At no point during the booking process was it clearly stated that the trip would involve a transfer in Bangkok with a layover of approximately 3–4 hours. This significantly increased the overall travel time and came as an unpleasant surprise. If this information had been clearly disclosed, I would have considered other travel options.
Another concern was the meal provision. The ticket stated that meals would be provided, but on a journey lasting more than 15 hours, we received only one small meal box and no drinks whatsoever. This fell far short of what a reasonable traveller would expect from the description provided at the time of booking.
To make matters worse, during one of the service station stops, there were no displayed prices for drinks. As tourists, we felt we were charged significantly more than expected. Without any visible pricing, it felt like daylight robbery and left a very poor impression.
What was most frustrating was the complete lack of customer support. When we tried to raise our concerns about the poor communication and misleading information, both the driver and other staff members, including personnel at the Bangkok office, suddenly appeared unable to speak English. This made it impossible to get answers or assistance and felt like an attempt to avoid dealing with customer complaints.
The transport itself eventually got us to our destination, but the poor communication, undisclosed layover, inadequate meal provision, and lack of customer service overshadowed the entire experience. Travel companies have a responsibility to provide accurate information and support their customers, and unfortunately, this experience fell well below that standard.
