Aberdeen central
Aberdeen central: The cleaniness of the room needs improvement. Dust everywhere; windowsills and skirtings have never been cleaned. Questionable stains on the TV. Bathroom has odd stains also. There is a musty, unkempt, mildew smell in the room. The carpet is filthy. The bathroom and doorway between the room and bathroom is in a state of disrepair. The sides around the sink are coming away from each other. The shower is extremely difficult to turn off. When water is running, there is a very loud rumbling.
Do NOT book with them
We already travelled using Travelodge and the experience was ok, now we were about to use it again and due to unforeseeable circumstances (death in the family) they couldnt even postpone my stay. I'm not even saying voucher/refund, but to be this strict?!
Never booking again with them.
It was a great location for our needs
It was a great location for our needs. Staff were very pleasant. We didn't have breakfast but it was available if we wanted it. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Good value, would recommend.
Missing sockets by the bed
Positives - clean and comfortable, reasonably priced.
Negatives - no sockets by the side of the bed, only USB ports. If you have a baby monitor, breathing monitor or a CPAP machine, night light, any phone charger that's not basic USB (mine is USB-C so couldn't be used) or a medical device requiring power then you won't be able to plug it in by the side of the bed. Take an extension lead and hope there's a free socket opposite the bed then be careful not to trip over the wire at night!
Travelodge, I appreciate this was intended as a modernisation but you have inadvertently removed facilities that were needed. They need to be changed so that the USB port is added without taking away a much needed standard socket. If the USB is needed at all that is...
Using the APP, genuine mistake, NO customer service
Using the APP to make a booking and selecting options are not respected when you change to look at your calendar and therefore mistakes can be made.
Genuine mistake are met by the worst customer service I have every had to deal with. Natasha Brown is a prime example of this, no understanding and no help whatsoever. I was trying to pay more by adding an option, but this made no difference at all. They would prefer to alienate a customer that to satisfy or accommodate change.
The very worst of a company.

We asked for a quiet room and got a room away from the road, but we still had the noise of the workers until about 2 AM.
The toilet was shocking, it has never seen cleaning fluids as the toilet bowel still has excrement which is obviously months old.
The shower cubicle has mildu all around the floor area, and the tray has never seen cleaning fluid since it was installed. It is obvious that the management don't do inspections or if they do then they think mildu is OK and toilet bowels below the water line dont matter. I have photos of the mildu etc.
Travelodge Peterborough Central…
Stayed in Travelodge Peterborough Central, which is in and area of the town that resembles war torn Basra.
Broken down derelict shops and buildings which are covered in graffiti and other substances.
With no air conditioning in the room so had to leave the window open. Very noisy area with drunks and crackheads shouting at each other all through the night.
The room was OK, but the statutory curtain rail broken so the curtains wouldn't close.. No water, toiletries etc.... VERY basic
And of course, the fire alarm activated throughout the whole hotel at daybreak, which had folk running around in their nightwear/underwear... until a foreign lady came around apologising for any inconvenience. This is also a recurring occurance.
Awful experience

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Travelodge's customer service. I called to cancel a booking, but instead of receiving professional assistance, I was treated with absolute disrespect. The customer service representative I spoke with was extremely rude, dismissive, and confrontational. When I asked about the cancellation process, they spoke to me in an aggressive tone and completely refused to listen to my questions. Instead of helping me resolve my request, they made me feel like an inconvenience.Trying to amend or cancel a booking should be a straightforward administrative process. There is absolutely no excuse for a customer service agent to treat a customer with such blatant rudeness.Travelodge management seriously needs to review their support line staff and retrain them on basic professional communication. I will think twice before ever trying to book with this company again.
Put relevant info on the website!
Stayed 2 nights at Travelodge London Vauxhall in August 2026. First the positives; this hotel is reasonably priced and really well located for visiting London. All modes of public transport are literally on the doorstep, including river travel, and it’s also a lovely walk along the Thames Path into London. Despite being right next to a bus interchange the hotel does pretty well at keeping outside noise out.
Generally it is as you expect from a travelodge (I don’t mean this negatively, I stay there because I know what the room will be like and what I’ll get). Room was clean enough; the Four in the Bed people with their white gloves would’ve had a field day but for 2 nights it was fine and the bed was comfy. Heating / cooling system worked satisfactory. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on breakfast or any other meals. Hotel felt perfectly safe.
Only real issue was, we had taken the option to pay to choose a room and had chosen one on the top floor, because I prefer to not have anyone above me if possible (people can be inadvertently noisy). What we didn’t realise was that the hotel was having work done on the roof so at 8am on Monday morning there was a hell of a noise we were not expecting! I did mention it to reception who said the work had been going on for 2 weeks and apologised that it wasn't on the website; I said if I’d known I wouldn’t have paid for a room on the top floor. The work must have finished on Monday because we didn’t hear anything the next day.
So not the end of the world but if you are going to give people the option to choose their room and pay for it, you do need to give them any relevant information that would affect that choice in my opinion.

I could have forgiven the fire alarms going off just after 11 pm and having to stand in nightwear in the car park with no clue what was going on, but then at 1am having to listen to a bunch of yobbos repeatedly pressing a car horn, shouting and attempting to force entry into the building I felt less patient.
But what really tipped the balance was, after 3 or so hours of very interrupted sleep, discovering there was no hot water. Will not be using Travelodge again.
I stayed at Travelodge, Northampton central
Staff were hardly at reception, after travelling 7 hours to hotel we needed toilet had to wait for someone to come, even after ringing the number we were told to there was no answer.
The corridor has a really bad smell, carpets ewere dirty and stained.
Couldn't get any more toilet paper so had to buy our own.
Fans in room were full of dust.
Carpets in the rooms were stained.
Beds were not comfortable they were very hard, we all woke up with bad backs.
No cleaning service for the 3 nights we were there even after leaving the signs on the door.
Also on the Sunday all the cards stopped working so we had to have new,.
Someone finally turned up to offer us fresh towels, 5 mins before we checked out!!

On 24th August we stayed at font well park travelodge and had a wonderful stay. Beautiful travelodge well furnished very clean and the bed was so comfy for My arthritic back firm but a nice soft feel . It was the most peaceful we have ever stayed in and we ve stayed in a few. Very quiet and no noise at all. Staff were really helpful and friendly on arrival and all the way through our stay. Would definately stay here again.
Claimed they found my missing watch then suddenly missing
I stayed at Travelodge London Central Marylebone in room 611 on 13–14 August. After leaving my watch behind, I called the hotel that evening and described it. A member of staff confirmed it had been found and was safe and told me to call back the following week.
When I called again, I was suddenly told they could no longer find it. I’ve also been promised callbacks that never happened and have still had no proper explanation.
How does a watch go from being confirmed as found and safe to suddenly disappearing? Absolutely unacceptable handling of someone’s property and terrible customer service.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IT WILL GET STOLEN!
Leeds central vicar lane
Unbeatable location.
Clean rooms
Friendly staff (especially Paul, at Travelodge Leeds Central Vicar Lane, with his kindness and outstanding customer service each time i have visited)
Thank you for a wonderful stay each time
We stayed in Scarborough North Bay
We stayed in Scarborough North Bay, welcomed by Ellen who was so helpful about the facilities, parking and access after the Concert. Room was spotless and lifts were working so no worries.Would stay again as staff so pleasant and hotel very central and clean. Pity about the fire alarm but false alarm was quickly dealt with.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour they wouldn't move my check in date when I asked as my wife was rushed to hospital with a broken hip so obviously we couldn't attend the booking dates they blankly refused never had such bad treatment by a hotel & I can assure them it won't happen again as ill never book with them ever again thanks for Absolutely nothing especially at this sensitive time
Awful service
Had a car accident on way to travel lodge Andover , phoned customer service and asked to amend booking due to accident and was told can’t do it after 12. Absolutely shocking service and won’t ever use them again waste of £100
Rigid and uncompassionate handling of a medical emergency
We were unable to use a Travelodge booking because my wife suffered a sudden and serious medical incident shortly before our stay. We tried to contact Travelodge the day before the booking and again on the morning of arrival to ask if the stay could be moved to later in the year, but we could not get through. When we eventually spoke to someone, we were advised to submit an online contact form, which we did, but we did not receive a response at the time.
I fully understand that this was a non-refundable Saver booking, and I did not expect an automatic refund. What I asked for was a discretionary goodwill gesture given the exceptional circumstances — ideally moving the booking, or later a credit/voucher.
The response from the Chief Executive’s Office was polite, but ultimately very disappointing. Travelodge required formal medical documentation, but in our case no doctor’s letter existed because one was never needed at the time. My wife was prescribed medication, but Travelodge said images of medication were not acceptable. No alternative practical evidence was accepted, despite our call records and the circumstances.
I have been a loyal Travelodge customer for both personal and business travel, but this experience has really changed how I feel about the brand. The process felt rigid, procedural and lacking in compassion at a very distressing time.
I appreciate companies need policies, but there should also be room for sensible discretion in genuine exceptional circumstances. Sadly, that was not my experience here.
Travelodge Gisport
We are currently staying at the Gosport Travelodge. Di, Lisa & Hanna have gone beyond our expectations. Very helpful ,friendly and informative on the local attractions. The room is spotlessly clean. Food is excellent for the price. We will definitely be coming bac
Absolutely appalling experience
Absolutely appalling experience. I have never experienced such a complete lack of hospitality and professionalism from a hotel.
What should have been a straightforward and comfortable stay turned into an extremely frustrating experience. Despite paying for a late check-out, I was repeatedly disturbed by housekeeping knocking on the door. This was completely unacceptable and showed a total lack of consideration for a paying guest.
Even more concerning was the behaviour outside the room, where the manager and housekeeping staff were heard laughing and joking outside my door after the situation had already been raised. I found this incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional.
A hotel should provide privacy, professionalism and basic courtesy to its guests. Unfortunately, this Travelodge failed on all three.
I have formally complained to Travelodge Head Office and expect this matter to be properly investigated. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before booking this hotel. I certainly will not be returning.
