Customer service was great from beginning to end. Travelous' service was VERY accommodating and they worked on details and iterations of the itinerary and hotel accommodations with great patience and good spirit.
They uploaded all the details and documents we needed on the phone app and their phone concierge service 24/7 was tremendously helpful!
The private tours Travelous set up and their contacts and people on the ground were really First Class! So very nice, educated and helpful and really added to the experience. Safe transportation always.
We took a trip north to south through Portugal and the population we encountered were really sweet, kind and lovely. Country is gorgeous, food and wine really good.
Be careful of the well worn cobblestone streets on hill inclines (a lot are limestone) and make sure you bring good sticky sneakers.
Another helpful "heads up" - as of 2023 there is alot of Metro construction in downtown Porto, so check your hotel locations if that might disturb you.
We knew ahead of time and found a hotel that we could walk to downtown in 3 minutes but was away from that.
Travelous is a good partner, especially in this difficult & congested travel era. So glad we found them!

Excellent experience in Egypt. Knowledgeable experienced and fun guides, on time, safe secure, clean vehicles, great restaurant choices. These guys know what they are doing and make your trip frictionless in a potentially chaotic place like Egypt. Thumbs up.

Traveled to Egypt for an 11 day trip with my mom for her “bucket list” trip. We chose Travelous for this trip after speaking with Chris and realizing his depth and breadth of knowledge and seeming detail oriented approach. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this trip and every detail was thoughtfully put together from the meals, accommodations, activities/sites, and free time. Even planning special additional activities like meeting with a local for Nubian coffee- which was just one of the trip highlights. Our Egyptologists (Hanan and Atef) were knowledgable, organized, personable, and kind. Ayman was our initial contact/airport representative was also extremely organized and always early to meeting times. Safety was not a concern at any point during the trip and we both felt very comfortable with the entire Travelous team in Egypt. Prior to departure there is a phone call with your trip architect to discuss the trip in detail and answer any questions you may have. Additionally, there is an app to download that gives a detailed look at your trip along with in country contacts and any trip related documents that we found helpful. To summarize, we felt the company is well organized and everyone we came in contact with on the Travelous team genuinely cared about our experience and strived to deliver a fantastic trip. We are currently discussing where we will be going next with Travelous.

Chris arranged an excellent 8 day tour for our group of 4 to Vietnam. From the time we were greeted upon our arrival in Hanoi to the time we were dropped back at the airport, all of the arrangements he made were top notch. Accommodations were outstanding, our guide and driver were pleasant, prompt, professional, and knowledgeable, the itinerary was well thought out with a great variety of activities, and communication was always clear. Activities were well-paced, but our guide was flexible and cheerfully offered to make modifications if we wished. Truly a fantastic experience!

The warm and welcoming way we were always greeted with. If we had any requests, they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Everything was extremely well organised and they took infinite care of us all the time. The guides, will-studied in Egyptology, had a wealth of knowledge which they imparted to us. Mind-boggling.

Don't hesitate to book a trip through Travelous! Travelous took care of every little detail of our recent trip to Egypt, and created seamless, luxury travel on a reasonable budget - a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Hotels and restaurants were top-notch, guides were experts in their field, sites were well-chosen, and visits were paced according to our needs and desires. Transportation was spacious and comfortable. Travelous was excellent with communication and very responsive to questions and requests. For just a bit more than a group tour, we experienced a truly personalized experience and we felt well cared for throughout.

This is our second trip with Travelous and as the first, Best Trip Ever. It’s all in the details and Travelous came through again. Great itinerary, great guides, very special hotels all made for yet another memorable experience

The customer service at airports/facilitating arrival and departures was exceptional. All of the drivers were fantastic. Our tour guide in Aswan and Luxor was terrific.

We particularly enjoyed some of the off the beaten path experiences--lunch at the Mud House; Nubian Village, and an unexpected sunset sail on the Nile.

Some days itineraries were too long and somewhat exhausting. Also, in Cairo, the tour of the Great Pyramid was scheduled mid-morning. It was so crowded that I aborted and paid to go back the next morning early. I was in and out in under 30 minutes and had a great experience. I recommend that visits to these major tourist attractions be scheduled for first thing in the morning.

Every detail was addressed and not a step was missed. Not sure if there was anything else that could have been done or provided to enhance our tour!!

Service was excellent. The travelous employees were helpful from the time we got off the plane in Egypt to when we got on the plane in Amman Jordan hotels were well chosen and most restaurants likewise.

Egypt 2023
On our very first contact with Travelous they listened to our wants, needs and concerns. Once they had a clear understanding of our age, disabilities and limitations they tailored a tour specifically to what we had discussed. The Guides, Drivers, Greeters and Airport Assistance staff were amazingly prompt, courteous, helpful and most of all knowledgable of ancient Egypt. Each went way beyond what would be expected from most tour companies. This trip was started under a huge cloud of unsettling news as the Israeli / Hamas war broke out two days before our departure. The night before we left one of the owners (Chris Bazos) personally called and had a long discussion with us addressing our apprehensions. He was very reassuring. I have spent a lifetime enjoying international travel and have been on dozens of private tours. Travelous rates right up there with the best I have ever used. Plan on using them again in the future

Me and my wife traveled to Egypt. Travelous made the trip worry-free and the tour guides made our trip extremely memorable. We will definitely use Travelous again in the future.

I had been dreaming of this trip for over 50 years and we had been talking about making it a reality since we were married 30 years ago. From our arrival at the Cairo Airport to our departure 14 days later, everything was well planned and executed.

During our initial conversations, Chris listened to what we wanted and helped us to refine the details, making suggestions and offering options along the way. Throughout the following weeks, he worked to solidify the details and provide us with a perfect itinerary.

The team he put together in Egypt were outstanding! We knew we were in good hands throughout our entire stay in country. Not only were they professional, but their warmth, pride in their country, and passion for their work made our visit exciting and inspiring. We never felt rushed or like we were expected to follow some pre-established “canned” schedule. They let us know that this was our experience, and they would do whatever they could to help us make the most of it.

Starting with Ayman, who met us as we entered the country. He guided us through the entry process and made us feel comfortable in our new surroundings. We joked that he made us feel as though we had our own private security detail. But beyond his ability to guide us smoothly through our entry and onto our various destinations in Cairo, his sincere and friendly manner made each step seem effortless. Dinner with him overlooking the city was truly breaking bread with a new friend.

Our guide for Old City Cairo was friendly, knowledgeable, warm, and engaging. John showed us through the Islamic sites and Coptic Cairo and helped us to see the rich history and beauty of this part of Cairo. It was easy to see that he loved the Mosques, Churches, and Synagogues with their history, art, and deep connections to Egypt.

Hanan was the perfect guide for our visits to Saqqara, Memphis, Giza, and the Egyptian and Civilization museums. Her energy and knowledge were extraordinary. She showed us details at each site that added so much more to our visits then we could have imagined. She discussed ideas and offered insights that opened a whole new perspective to our views of ancient Egypt. At the Egyptian Museum she showed us often overlooked exhibits that were mind blowing. We hit it off right away and we will all remain lifelong friends. She added even more joy to our Egypt experience than we could have thought possible.

When we met “Lamey” for our tours through Aswan, Luxor, and Karnak, we knew that our visits would be remembered for the rest of our lives. He was funny, expressive, knowledgeable, and showed us more than the sites. He showed us the areas around the sites and helped us experience the people, food, and history of the areas. His “no problem” attitude made each day enjoyable, and his obvious love of the Aswan and Luxor areas made our experiences there that much more meaningful. We will especially remember the local foods that he shared with us. He even enhanced our sunset Nile cruise with beautiful Egyptian music with a crescendo at sunset.

Our visit to Hurghada began with meeting our representative Abdelrahman. We had a delightful and informative conversation with him during our ride from Luxor to Hurghada. “Abdul” explained the different areas that we would be traveling through and had a wealth of information about the Hurghada area. Our discussions ranged from Egypt geography, Egyptian culture, and languages. He proudly shared the video of the Hymn of Isis and the Golden Parade. We had limited time in Hurghada but wanted to experience the world-renowned reefs in the area. Abdul arranged a special snorkeling excursion that proved to be breathtaking. Thanks to him, we even have underwater video of the experience. We still remain in contact with him since our return.

We decided to make this trip on our 30th wedding anniversary. Chris and his amazing team helped to make this dream trip to Egypt a reality beyond our expectations. We made life-long friends and have a renewed interest in all things Egyptian. Above all, we look forward to our next trip to this beautiful and ancient country.

I found Travelous a week before we were leaving for our honeymoon. My husband and I had our plane tickets and hotel booked and I reached out to Travelous to see if they could help with our day tours. Chris and his team came through to provide us with an amazing experience.

Our guide John in Cairo was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the pyramids and since he is local to Cairo he was also very knowledgeable about the city and culture. We asked him many questions that he was not afraid to answer. Aiymen our driver was wonderful, definitely an expert driver in the cairo traffic. Hishman our airport associate was so helpful getting us around the airport and helped us exchange some of our money to Egyptian pounds.

Our team in Luxor was amazing as well. Abdallah was also very knowledgeable about the historical sites and being local to Luxor he helped us learn about the culture there. Ahmed was a wonderful driver and Hamada was so helpful as our airport associate working with the hotel to get us breakfast packed for our early morning flight.

With the help of John and Abdallah we were able to learn a few words in arabic and they both went out of their way to make sure we had an unforgettable time in Egypt; it felt like we were traveling with family. We also felt safe the entire time we were there.

I cannot thank you enough Chris for putting this together for us last minute. We did try some of the coffee and wonderful local food while we there. The itinerary was perfect giving us enough time to do historical tours but also enough time to do our own thing as well.

This was our first time traveling out of the United States to another country. I was a little leery about traveling to Egypt but I felt very safe the entire time we there. The Travelous staff helped us feel safe and there are police stationed through out Cairo and Luxor if you feel you need added security. I would highly recommend taking a chance to travel to Egypt, it is definitely a once in a life time experience and my husband and I are already want to plan another trip back there.

1) Chris and his team expertly planned the details of our trip. The activities, selected restaurants and sequencing were all first-rate. It was the ideal blend of history, culture and food.
2) The tour guides provided (Hanan in Cairo, Atef in the south) were OUTSTANDING. Both were exceedingly knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely a pleasure to spend time with.
3) All the logistics of the trip went off flawlessly. Our transportation and guides were always ready at the appointed times. Samer in Cairo oversaw every aspect of our visit to make sure were fully satisfied. He is a true professional.

Once again, Travelous was everything the word implies. We had a wonderful time in Portugal. The hotels were great and the tours set up by them perfectly blended being able to see and experience many different things and still leave time for us to wonder on our own. Will definitely be using Travelous again and again.

Travelous was amazing, it made our vacation hassle free and we didn’t have to worry about flights, checking’s, and connections. We especially liked the travel representatives in each place that we arrived, their service, especially in the airport, everything went very smooth. Lamey, our tour Guide made Egypt come to live.
