No help when I was injured on vacation
In July 2025, my sister and I took Holiday Vacations’ Grand Australia and New Zealand Tour, a trip we had anticipated for nearly two years. Holiday Vacations strongly recommended that we purchase travel insurance through Trawick International, which we did.
Unfortunately, I suffered two serious falls during the trip, and my experience with Trawick was nearly as frustrating as the injuries themselves.
The first fall occurred in Australia when I slipped in a hotel bathroom with a dangerously wet, barrier-free shower. Because we were traveling the next morning, I could not receive proper medical care until later. After my pain became severe, I arranged my own transportation to the emergency room in Cairns. Since it was after hours, Trawick was unavailable, and I was directed to Redpoint, its emergency assistance provider. A CT scan revealed multiple fractured ribs and a severe fracture of my eighth thoracic vertebra.
Later, in New Zealand, I suffered a second, much more serious fall after tripping over a shelf in a convenience store. I was unable to bear weight or walk. Once again, because it was the weekend, Trawick was unavailable, and I was referred to Redpoint, which instructed me to call an ambulance and go to the emergency room.

I like the 2nd representative I spoke…
I like the 2nd representative I spoke with today, but the 1st lady 1st put in my information incorrectly and said she would call me back with a follow up and she lied and did not. I had to call back and the 2nd representative was very helpful

Got what I needed by talking to a real human being

I purchased insurance for a big hiking…
I purchased insurance for a big hiking trip. We got sick the day before and had to cancel. We got a doctor's note in Spanish because we were in a spanish speaking country. They did not accept this doctor's note as the official documentation and refused to pay us for the cancelation insurance that we paid for.
