Have purchased from store several…

Have purchased from store several times. Generally the products are very good but the packaging is a let down. Every silver plastic bottle cap on the pre-shave oil separates from the inner cap after minimal use for example. Latest order I paid for 48 hour delivery but 9 days later it still isn't here. No response from customer services at all, not even an automatic one.

Edit: I did eventually receive a response from them and they refunded my postage costs and apologised which i'm happy with. Responsiveness to issue was nevertheless unsatisfactory overall due to the 3 emails it took to get a response.

Cologne not same as Sample Testers

Two weeks ago I ordered the cologne sample set. I was very impressed with the sandal wood and Apsley cologne. The sent lasted a long time and other people noticed the sent.
Based on this I then purchased two bottles 55ml of both the Sandalwood and Apsley cologne. However I discovered that the Sandalwood wood cologne is not as long lasting as the same from the sample tester pack. This leads me to believe that the sample pack is more potent in both sent and last longer than the same from the 55ml bottles. I have not tried the Apsley but guess this will also be disappointing.
I have asked that Truefitt and Hill look into this because if the sample pack is more potent, then I believe it designed and a ploy to fool people to buying the bigger bottles. I have also suspected this with other testers from other retailers which may suggest this is may be a standard practice regarding all types of anftershaves and colognes.
I wait for Truefitt and Hill response to this. I may even request Which the consumers champion to investigate.

No place for a lady

I tried to enter the shop with a partner to buy some products. An elder gentleman ( I use the term loosely) gestured for my partner to enter then when I went to follow he pushed in Front of me. That’s ok I thought but he then let the door shut in my face. The staff did nothing but fawn over him
when I came in. He must have realised what he did but he ignored me. Not the place for a woman. The hair cut he sported was a trifle amateur hour too.

This is a spectacular barber…

This is a spectacular barber experience, steeped in history in St James's. I emerged feeling like an eau de cologne movie star! It's a real privilege to see such skill and courtesy at play, reminding you of better times. I can't recommend enough.

Useless dispenser

Like the product (aftershave balm), but the glass bottle/dispenser is not fit for purpose. As a result both bottles I have purchased, costing over forty pounds each, had around a quarter of the balm left when the pump to extract the balm stopped working. I have had to prise off the top of each bottle with pliers (not recommended I am sure) and am trying to extract the remainder of the balm with a spatula. This rather primitive procedure would not be necessary if the bottle and pump were not so useless. It needs a complete redesign.

A vile experience

A vile experience - was refused a prepaid hair cut / shave / hot towel experience - it was humiliating to be turned away when we had a bona fide booking….we are long term customers in London and Singapore - the magic has gone - we will not be returning

Why do people keep rating products negative, while having issues with taxes?

People are rating truefitt and hill products low here, because they got charged by tax authorities or had a bad experience with customers service. But what it has to do with the quality of products? Products are just amazing! If you are stupid enough to not understand that ordering outside eu is a subject of tax, then rate yourself with 1 star, not the products! You can find these products webshops inside Europe! Unless you are banned in Google...

Never again

When you place an order on their website their delivery options charges are confusing and don’t look right.
In between the options given, they give you the one where you can choose Next Day Delivery by 13.00 as Guaranteed. Don’t trust them. It’s a scam to get more money out from you.
When you complain about it they don’t even try to make things better. All they offer you is to refuse the package when it arrives.
Zero on customer service, rude and clearly not showing how important is each client to them.
Not buying from them again.

Keeping Britain Great for over 215 years...

Happy Birthday T&H. London's finest shaving brushes, creams and balms. Luxury and pampering oneself doesn't get better than using their cheapest No.10 shaving cream (£10) or the masculine scent of the Grafton (£17). Use a DE razor or a cut throat for the weekend. God save the Queen and T&H...

Quality shaving products

Quality shaving products. I recently ordered the Truefitt and Hill Scuttle for a more traditional shaving experience. I was not disappointed. Very quick delivery, luxury packaging and arrived well on time. Even after a last minute change of mind, I emailed to change the colour, they duly obliged with no questions asked. The scuttle itself is a joy to use and fantastic quality. They even threw in a complimentary shave bowl refill. Looking foreword ordering again.

Avoid with a very long barge pole!

Not a very nice company to deal with at all if you have any kind of difficulty. Customer services are quite simply rude and unhelpful. Then when you ask to escalate your complaint to someone in higher authority you are completely ignored. Worst online shopping experience of my life!
