Waste of time

Fails to interact with app that have security, therefore useless on device. Face matching never worked and password recovery required face match which means that my account is lost. Annoying popups recommending Truekey on sites that I chose not to use it on. Not sure how others work but this one fails to deliver.

Truly awful piece of software

Truly awful piece of software. Nothing works - auto login does not work, you can't browse to add new sites and the only way of adding them is manually. It promises features which aren't available e.g. facial recognition. I bought McAfee Total Protection as I thought it included True Key Premium - it doesn't. Online support is useless and you have to log calls to get anything done.

What a load of crap

What a load of crap. I had beem using the wonderful Password Box for years until they forced me onto True Key. It doesn't auto fill, it doesnt update new password. In short it is just crap. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY. I am looking for a better alternative. I used to respect Intel as a brand but this load of rubbish has severely tarnished the brand in my eyes. I just wish I had the option of zero stars.

Total FAILURE! Crisis after crisis

Multiple problems with something that was working for me before.

I used Lenovo Password manager (LPM) for years. One day I receive a notice that Lenovo is moving to True Key. Going through import manager I check my secure notes not to be imported (I wanted to keep them in the old soft before I see how the new one works). To my horror after the import everything in the LPM was deleted! What import software deletes the original content especially with something as important as passwords?! One would get FAIL just for this.

For everyday use TK has some quirks too. But here is something that bothers me a lot. In the top right corner I see "Freemium - 22 logings left". This means after 22 more logins I will experience another horror moment when I realize I cannot get to my passwords that are in TK now. And these are only the catastrophes I see.

To hell with software that replaces a smooth working product with multiple crisis.

Truekey scammed me out of $25.99

Purchased a 3 year subscription to Truekey on Stacksocial, but Truekey's website bugged out and wouldn't let me redeem the subscription I paid $25.99 for. Contacted their support, but they wouldn't help, and Stacksocial won't refund me either, so I wasted $25.99 for nothing.

True Key is a sneaky piece of crap

True Key is a sneaky piece of crap. Out of nowhere, this True Key thing locks out my computer. Desktop, apps, even Task Manager gone.
No way out of it, even the options of "yes, I'm in" or "no thanks" don't work. Up until this unwanted, obnoxious program showed up, never had an issue with something taking over my computer, freezing everything with no remedy. I never downloaded it, didn't want it, had no idea how it got there.
Finally restarted in safe mode, went to uninstall & this garbage program wasn't listed. I typed True Key in the search bar & there it was. If I didn't think to do this, I would have never found it. Saw it was originally installed over a year ago. What the heck? Why was it on there & how did it get there? Felt like a virus or major malfunction & took over with no way out. Says it was an Intel /McAfee thing. It's things like this that frustrate the majority of PC users & only an overeducated crap head would think this was the kind of disruption that comes with technology.

The facial recognition sign-in is really good, and saves me endlessly typing in passwords. My one worry is someone cracks Truekey, if they do I am in deep dodo.

Log in issues/camera

I liked the app at first. I use it on my Dell laptop. I do trust the security. My issue is with the log on. It will allow to log into your computer with it, using your face or password. I usually don't remember my email password, because I seldom use my computer email. Logging in with my face never works. It never accepts the image, saying "too dark" or taking me back to the home page of my computer. So, I input all my passwords myself. It is a hassle. Maybe they can do something with a finger print through the camera because this issue stops me from using the app. Other than this issue, I like the app. It has potential.

True key unwanted installation

True Key has installed on my laptop didn't ask for it but I think reading the reviews it's installed as part of an Adobe update. My password to get into my laptop no longer works and after spending 2 hours on the phone to their help centre they tell me the problem lies with my computer and not them which is nonsense. I have had laptop for 4 years with no issue until this system installed itself. Calling HP helpdesk tomorrow to see if they can help but disgusted with service and disgusted they can do this without your knowledge. I need my laptop for my work and cannot get access.

This is horrible

This is horrible. I did not download this on purpose. It takes 35 minutes for my computer to open. After 6 hours I am still trying to get my control panel to open so I can remove this True key VIRUS.

A pain-in-the-behind that I never wanted in the first place.

True Key came bundled with Adobe. I wanted to update my Adobe and downloaded the latest for Windows 10. Along came McAfee and True Key. No option was made to not download these. I chatted with True Key to delete and it didn't delete half of what they installed. I spent most of the evening getting all of their crap off my computer. I was and am really outraged that I had to spend so much time for something I never wanted in the first place.

Told to transfer from Password box to Intel Truekey, then told to pay for what was once free!

I had password box previously with over 100 passwords saved. Intel Truekey was being developed and they sent emails over a number of months saying it was coming. They informed password box users to move over to true key before a particular date as password box was being discontinued.

There were technical issues which they could not resolve in moving my account over. So they said the only way would be to delete the password box account (and write down all of my passwords before doing so) then creating a new Truekey account. So based on what they said I did this.

I fully expected to be able to add the over 100 passwords back into intel truekey. How wrong was I. They allowed only 15 passwords and demand an annual fee of $19.99 to enable me to add more.

I was not paying an annual subscription with password box and since they are the ones who told me to move over to truekey I do not see why I should be paying to have what I had previously. I never told them to create the software.

I spoke to their support team via chat. I am not sure what planet they are on, the first one started blabbering on about a McAfee Internet security suite subscription which expired in 2012 (nothing to do with password box!) which baffled me. Then passed to someone else who could not grasp the fact my password box account had been deleted by them and he kept asking me to login to password box.

I call their call centre and their attitude is they fully understand they told me to move over from password box to truekey and that is was their decision but said sorry it is inconvenient but you will need to pay. Very poor response and truekey is no better than password box. It actually looks identical, just using different colours!
