I really feel like I must complain…

I really feel like I must complain about a lawyer, Altaf Husain Patel. I aske him not to do any real work on my issue and he said he wouldn’t.

I met him in car park for a “free consultation” in a car park, when he told me the price for the work was £4000 I nearly dropped, he could see I didn’t want to pay it and he got quite irate because he made the journey to meet me in a starbucks park. When he got irate I felt threatened as we were sitting in his and I felt very vulnerable. So out, feeling threated, I made the payment (to his personal account? Not business which I thought was strange, like he was trying to avoid paying the tax on it.
I asked him to give me time to think about how I wanted, he created a search of urgency and made me feel panicked I did not want him to work on this right way I wanted to have a chance to gather myself. I wrote to him 1.5/2 hours after our meeting and told him that I wanted to price around as I felt his price was a lot. Told me it was too late and that he had already started, I then asked him why he started. As that point I just wanted my money back, he told me he appointed a already which is probably nonsence as it around 4 pm when we concluded the meeting .

When I told him that I didn’t want him to represent me anymore he started roaring down the phone at making all sorts of untrue accusations. This guy is really nasty, next thing Im going to do Is report him to the police. I’m not sure if this is the case or not but he said the 14 day cooling off period doesn’t apply the legal sector (see image below where he states this. He wanted to offer me £2000 back and I said no, I want all my money back now because of nasty attitude.
Not sure what you can do with a guy like this but cound you help me get my £4000 back please

AVOID CHRIS COUTANCHE

-0 STAR RATING!! So I thought I would have a search of Chris Coutanche's Reviews and was not surprised to see the comments below!!
I called Chris for advice I got nothing but abuse i was told my case seemed more about financial gain!! if my case was about financial gain I would walk away from my situation....Avoid him at all cost!! I couldn't get through a phone call with him let alone a case! 5000 successful cases ? where can we see these so called cases ?

He is very unprofessional rude, no social skills at all, to the point he believes he is higher than a barrister!@ ...because he has WON hundreds of cases? is there evidence of this please or can we find the evidence anywhere ? you do not need any qualifications to be a McKenzie friends (I did some research) Chris..so please STOP talking to people in a passive aggressive manner!
also if anyone calls him out he responds to the post accusing other McKenzie friends of slander! I have been researching how to get him investigated as I can not believe someone like this classes themselves as a McKenzie friend!
also he has had 5 star reviews on 3 occasions from Martin Lewis? this needs to be checked out!! I will be reporting him to the relevant people!!
also I have proof of the phone call if he tries yet again to get MARTIN LEWIS? to write reviews saying we do not exist and we are targeting him! so do contact me for further info ...I CAN HONESTLY SAY IVE NEVER SPOKEN TO ANYONE LIKE HIM HE IS JUST AWFUL!! THANK GOD I SPOKE TO A DECENT MCKENZIE FRIEND!! USE WISELY!! HE ALSO STATES HE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED? BY WHO?? WHERE CAN WE GET THIS INFORMATION APART FROM HIM AND MARTIN LEWIS (ps not the real Martin Lewis) ??? ALSO HE DID NOT ASK FOR MY NAME AT ANYTIME!!! please also read the responses and how aggressive they are ...seriously something is very wrong....1 of the best ?? on who's merit ? and Martin lewis was a client on one review then is answering as chris practically on another review! just take a look at all the reviews from Martin lewis there not right ...just terrible!! and Chris please do take legal action so everyone on here can be contacted and you can be outed for your nasty behaviour! if your so successful why have u not gone higher in 27 so called years with all your WINS you should at least be a solicitor with your success you have Won more cases than any solictor or barrister! so you say!! i think your desperate to be up there but with your attitude you never will be!! and Also GOOGLE HIS NAME AND SEE WHAT COMES UP CHRISTOPHER JAMES Coutanche I cant wait to see the review that will probably pop up very soon giving him 5 stars or maybe Martin Lewis a so called past client will write again defending him I think your find any positive review is from Chris himself this man is SCARY very SCARY please be careful and dont put yourself and your children in his hands not for anything your much better off looking for someone with good reviews (real reviews) surely there should be some kind of law on what he puts on his website regarding cases and saying judges give him outstanding for his work ?? does this happen?? and the so called links on his website do not exist you cant click on any link!!! you can also pay to be put at the top of a Google search so do your homework before contacted this man!! from the minute I spoke to him I knew he had something to hide (gut instinct) I literally cant stop because im really worried that people are going to use this man and could possibly lose their children because he has personal issues!!! this is so so wrong! something needs to be done and will be done I will not leave this there are vulnerable people out there who could be ruined by this nasty piece of work! and I will not be another victim of your malice!!! I will take this further!! please note if he replies that my case would not be successful...I contacted a Barrister and a 'real' McKenzie friend after the call and they were amazing!! BASICALLY YOU ARE TELLING A THUG YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND HE THINKS HE CAN JUDGE ?? SERIOUSLY HES BEEN IN THE PAPERS FOR SOME VERY DISTRUBING SITUATIONS PLEASE GOOGLE HIS NAME!! and hes has the front to say a judge in court of law praises his work and hes the best in the uk ?? maybe when he is not in prison CROOK 🤢 the man is delusional

Chris coutanche AVOID AVOID AVOID

Chris coutanche AVOID AVOID AVOID. The minute you question him expect to be hurled abuse and accused of being abusive. Expect him to not know which case he is talking about (indicating he is doing this to MULTIPLE people) and then expect threatening emails once you've called him out. Report to police as soon as he verbally assaults you. It definitely isn't worth the stress and anxiety when your already going through enough. Seek out genuine mckenzie friends that knows what forms are which and whom their speaking too. Don't get caught up with losing money, he claims to have helped thousands of families. Which brings to question how many families he has done this too. 200 to 300 may not seem a lot but if it is done to so many he doesn't need to continue asking for money from one family. Do not make the mistake of paying him. He will not receipt you for it and he will not be professional and god help you if you question his nonsense ramblings.

Absolute rubbish… Spoke to a guy called…

Wish I read the other bad reviews here before parting with any cash, I would not have bothered, my experience is as equally disappointing.

Spoke to a guy called Chris Countanche…

All I will say is the work produced from my dealings with Chris were poor at best, I ended up going back to my original solicitor who did it all for me and charged pretty much the same… As a customer I will not be returning.

Sarah Foulds-DO NOT USE

we used Sarah Foulds from Lay Advocacy Project-she just takes money and ruins lives. She never answers calls, gets her daughter to do an "assessment" who was unemployed and had no experience but we were charged fifty pounds. Sarah charges people a membership and then keeps asking for more money for work that is awful. she is awful in court and lost our case because she filed stuff too late so the court hadnt seen it. She is not who she has said she is-DO NOT USE

I couldn't give zero stars. For 2 years I paid £40 a month plus £1 to who I owed. Now I'm getting letters demanding the money. I have serious mental health issues. I would not recommend these people

These reviews have all been left on the same day???

this company is very dodgy, they are not regulated and say this will charge a set up fee, a monthly fee to manage debts and the creditors only get £1, they then say that they that they will do an agreement where they write off 90% of my debt and then my credit rating will be fine by them being my mckenzie friend?? I have never heard so much rubbish in all my life!! Stay away folks this is a scam
