The introduction to oil painting course was fantastic! I learned more in the first morning with Marc than I ever learned at school. Marc is an excellent tutor, he's patient, personable and funny and gives just the right help at the right moment. I am really happy with the work I produced over the two days, my confidence has improved a lot thanks to the tuition and the opportunity to put it to use. Thank you!

I would definitely recommend Marc’s classes. I attended a 10 week class over the summer having never painted in oils before. Marc took his time to teach me in stages from start to finish on techniques in painting with oils. He took his time to patiently answer my many questions and guide me in my paintings. He provided all materials needed for the class. He is a very experienced and talented artist and goes out of his way to make sure you understand each stage in creating your piece of work in oils.

Attended a Bob Ross experience with Marc on Sunday.
Both myself and my wife had a great time and Marc was very informative and patient. The whole experience was made even more enjoyable with the very friendly banter that we all enjoyed.

I would highly recommend Turners art school . The oil painting classes are really enjoyable and fun .
Marc is an excellent teacher he is encouraging and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble .
Marc provides all the necessary equipment which is an added bonus and the studio is very relaxed and comfortable. I have learnt a great deal and always look forward to my class

Marc has a wide experience of teaching art and starts from firm foundations through to an advanced level. Teaching with humour, he’s always supportive but happy to redirect if necessary.

I booked a day session with Mark to do the Bob Ross painting and I want to express my sincere thanks for a great day with Mark.

This was the best painting I have ever done and it really is thanks to Marks skill, patience, enthusiasm and fun. He is engaging and supportive and really easy to learn from.

The day flew by and we enjoyed it so much we will book a paint like Monet course.

Give this full day session a go and you'll leave with a unique painting you created and some great memories of a wonderful day.

I've been to two of Marc's 'Paint like Bob Ross' days, and just booked on a third one. I am not a natural painter, but I am delighted with the paintings I have completed in these classes. Marc's friendly manner and patience, combined with his great knowledge and skill, guarantee a successful day. Lovely bright studio, with plenty of space, make it a good and safe environment to explore your creative side.

Excellent course, suitable for all abilities. If you are naturally gifted, you will produce an amazing masterpiece. If you have two left thumbs (like me) Marc will still guide you to paint a picture you will be proud to hang on your wall. Excellent venue, great tutor, and great fun.

I've only been painting for a short time and I wasn't overly confident in my ability when I signed up for the course, Paint like the Impressionists.

However, I know the course has really helped me to progress. Marc is not only a talented artist but a brilliant teacher. He is passionate about art and really does enjoy imparting his knowledge to others to help them along the way.

The classes were not too big and this enabled Marc to spend plenty of time with all of us, correcting and teaching throughout.

Unlike so many course, all materials were provided and were of excellent quality too. The course was reasonably priced.

I am pleased to have booked on another course at Turner's Painting School and would recommend Marc's classes to all.

Marc Turner is not only an extremely talented artist but he also has the ability to demonstrate to students and explain in a very easily understandable fashion, which is a very rare skill. He is easy going and works at the student's pace, always on hand to advise and encourage. He has improved my art more than anything has.
His studio in Walton Gardens is set in a beautiful, relaxing location, only a short distance from the motorway network. There is a cafe across the courtyard.
His courses are excellent value -he has daytime, evening or weekend courses covering a range of subjects, depending on demand. Anyone thinking of joining his courses will definitely not be disappointed. I cannot praise him enough.

Look no further if you want to get into oil painting. Very relaxed environment for all levels. Highly recommend.

Mark is a great teacher. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, inspirational and very patient. Classes are fun. I’ve made friends and exceeded my expectations to produce some exciting art.
