This is a 3rd party company used to…

This is a 3rd party company used to verify income at an apartment complex we applied to. Just to be clear we are securing the payment for our son who is a college student and needing an apartment. The automated system is horrible. It really wants you to connect your banking information with their system to verify funds. As an adult who owns my own bussiness I would never consent to attaching my banking info to some third party software company for this purpose. As a alternate they will ask for banking statements. Financial statements and tax documents as well. I submitted everything asked of me with out linking my banking info. My income and money in the bank far exceeded the minimum requirement. Two Dots could not approve me stating that my banking institution was not credible. BTW my bank is one of the largest banks in the world. The apartment complex approved me outside of the Two Dots platform because they could see how ridiculous this was. As a side note I have refinanced homes requiring fewer banking statements. I am now also left with a bad feeling knowing that they do have copies of all my information. I have also tried to talk to an actual person at Two Dots about this and NO One is available, nor do they volunteer their phone number. Super sketchy!!!

Trustpilot Should Allow 0 Star Rating.

I would give them a negative score if possible, but these geeked review sites make you give them a positive review. I say positive because 1 star is still better than zero. Not cool!

Trying to rent a home that's making me go through twodots.net never again. There's an option to choose how to contact me through email and or texts. I specified email only. I get emails from them every couple hours asking for more documents. Then I go to the site which takes forever to load a page if at all. Mind you have over 1Gb fiber. Some woman called me saying she need my ID which I already sent. While on phone she says only 2 people are applying which was wrong. I finally straighten it out with her, and also tell her no texts, just email contact. Since then I've received 4 text daily. I've offered my proof of income, but they are refusing to take it. No option to upload, and they keep texting me they want my banking acct number and routing number instead. I refuse to give it to them. I'm not trying to buy the house, so they do not need that information. They do not want to take my Government documents. Now I have to fight them for my application fee, which I feel I should get back as the application was never complete since they refused to take the information needed to actually complete the application.

NEGATIVE STARS

NEGATIVE STARS. I am appalled and shocked at how horrific this system is. It’s entirely a bot that will freeze up or get stuck on a loading page for hours. Support said it was because I was on safari so I downloaded chrome and edge only to be more disappointed as it wouldn’t even get past the login page on either search engine. The bot asked for EITHER paystubs, bank statements OR linked bank. I deposit my income in multiple accounts so naturally it felt easier to upload paystubs… wrong-o. It took 30 minutes to process and then ask me to submit my paystubs or w-2 now. So I added my w-2… only to be asked again for my paystubs and linking my bank… now I’m suspicious as f. I shared my issues with support and hes being nice as it’s not their fault the system is trash. But when I asked for a human to step in, they told me my combined income was not adding to 2.5x the rent which I absolutely know to be wrong as I make 3x the rent alone. I know he was just reading what the bot had processed so I said the bot is wrong and I can provide everything I already uploaded as proof.

Now for my partners experience with his account… he owns his own company and after telling the bot that it gave us the same prompt ‘link bank, paystubs, or w-2’. So we linked his bank account 11 times (stripe said it was successful but the bot didn’t respond) before the bot accepted it for processing. He has 3 accounts under one bank so we shared it all to be safe. The bot must have half-scanned it as the bot said it would not accept the businesses bank information… so it asked us to upload bank statements. After doing that, it still asked for more information on paystubs.

Not to mention this entire time it is taking a minimum of 30 minutes to process responses. We’re going on about 20 hours of periodically checking and uploading to this horrid system. I’ve called the leasing office that sent us to this system to find a work-around. I’m all for AI - only WHEN IT IS RELIABLE

Straight-up feces of a system…

I think this is the worst verification…

I think this is the worst verification system I have ever seen or ever worked with before in my life. My son was applying for an apartment somewhere else and they denied his stuff that was there was nothing wrong with it along with mine hit her at Cedar Ridge Apartments in Baytown. They are wanting things that no one has ever asked for before. I believe they’re being very unprofessional and they’re targeting people profiling people. I’ve uploaded four different ways of verification to verify my employment, but they’re telling me they can’t verify it I think that’s a bit ridiculous I would never recommend this company for anyone.

Disability Accommodation Concern – Under Investigation

I applied to Deerbrook Forest – Rockstar 17750 LLC and requested disability accommodations. My request was denied, and follow-up communications included emojis that seemed dismissive and unprofessional.

Housing providers should handle accommodations professionally and respectfully. My experience did not meet this standard.
This matter has been reported to civil rights authorities, and a federal case has been filed to address the issue.
