Terrible communication on ISA transfer. Chat function on website and customer helpline both completely broken. Complained by email and did receive a call back a week or so later and £25 compensation.

Proved difficult to open an account as I did not find the UBL website easy to use. Once I found what I needed, relatively straight forward. Did not find UBL flexible in their approach around guidelines for transferring in ISAs from another provider.

Was looking for a fixed rate ISA, UBL was recommended on the Martin Lewis page ‘Money saving expert’ as having a better interest rate than the bank I was originally going to go with. Setting it it all up was very easy.

Poor communication. Sent messages asking some questions as long wait time on telephone on several times but never got a reply!!
When I did get through to an advisor they were curt and had poor knowledge so needed to get advice presumably from a senior colleague. Left waiting further whilst they went to find someone.

Very poor online experience including one of the worst banking apps currently available (see App Store for more damming reviews) Failure of the bank to respond to written queries within the stated time and then failed to answer the question. Details and explanation of the setting up of an ISA and transferring an existing one were non-existent. Overall a very disappointing performance - Overall the experience made me feel that the competency and credibility of the bank is questionable - would suggest investing elsewhere.

Easy fund transfer set up. Competitive, 3 year fixed rate ISA paying monthly interest. Very few financial providers offer this!

When I phoned to check how to apply ( there was an issue with the website) the assistant was very rude and he put the phone down on me.

Complete lack of communication after I opened the account. Once I had transferred funds there was no acknowledgement in writing by post or by email. I had to log into my account to see if the money was there. I tried online and via email to ask if I could add funds from another Isa and got no reply. Tried several times on the telephone and when I got through I was told to open a second account. By this time your interest rate had fallen and you were no longer the best option! In summary no or very poor service after opening account on line. I shall not use your bank again.
