Avoid at all costs

It has tons of offers and good offers, but comes as a high cost.

They sold me a service to have the bike fully-mounted, then I had to go to a bike shop to have it fully-assembled. They refused to give me the money back.

They sold me some accessories, they sent me the wrong ones: hopefully after complaining I got the correct items.

The bike they sold me broke after just 2 months, I wanted it repaired or replaced at no cost and they refused to do so, referring me instead to the manufacturer of the bike.

Avoid at all costs!!

Hopeless

Placed an order for an item that was listed as in stock and ready to ship on the site, for next-day by 1pm delivery. When the order didn't arrive, I called to be told that the item wasn't in stock and they'd been too busy to contact me about the fact. At least the customer service bloke was apologetic, not that it helped.

They have the knowledge but not the products

I've placed three orders with these guys, only one was ever delivered. They seem to list stock from suppliers but not keep it very well updated so a lot of what is advertised is discontinued or involves a very long delivery time. The website doesn't really make the lead times clear,

It's a shame really as I spoke to one of them on the phone and he really knew his stuff and was very helpful.

I was however quite annoyed by them seemingly making out I was being unreasonable for ordering parts for 14 year old forks, if it was a tall order why did they have them advertised in the first place? With a different approach to stock management they could do a lot better, as it stand they're hit and miss at best.

Shocking customer service

They take weeks to respond to emails. Refused to acknowledge my product (giro bike helmet) had a manufacturing defect (I sent it back to them for inspection). Taken me 5 months so far to try and resolve, they are now just ignoring me. Do yourselves a favour and don't deal with these cowboys. Shockingly bad.

Also - they still have my helmet !

Poor customer service

Wife ordered thermal bib tights for winter riding as xmas pressie. Less than 8 weeks later and with minimal use the zip has broke. Contacted bike store who at first refused to cover cost of return postage £4.10. Several terse emails later they eventually agree to cover return postage after pointing out to them that this is actually the law. The response received via email was " we are cycling experts not lawyers".

Sorry but if you are selling online then you should know your customers rights under UK law. A shocking display of ignorance and arrogance. With snotty unsigned emails to boot.

Will not buy from them again and am still waiting for replacement goods as they would not refund like I requested even though it's within my legal rights as they supplied a faulty product.

Stick to the better websites. Wiggle chain reaction etc instead of this unhelpful company.

Update 25/03

7 days after receiving faulty goods they have finally posted a replacement out which I assume will take another couple of days to arrive.

A truly shocking customer service experience. I just hope I have no further issues.

Flawless service

Cannot fault the service one bit. Helpful staff responded quickly to my questions, and kept me fully up to date with the progress of my order and delivery schedule. First class service - I shall deffinitely be returning in the future.

Will not use again!

I ordered a bike helemet for my daughter. Still waiting five days later. When I try to call them to chase up the order the phone is permanently engaged with no call back option. Have emailed them. Awaiting response. They don't even email you to confirm whether item has been dispatched. I will not be using these again!

Helpful , quick delivery , and great pricing

I needed some information about a specific part for my bike , I was not sure so I contacted UK Bike store , spoke with Dave and he talked me through my options , Orderd the same day , delivered online

Would use again , and will recoommend to my cycling buddies

Watch out for Next day delivery

Be careful when ordering the next day delivery option from UK Bike store at £4.99. It could be next day to when they get the item sent to them 2 days later. My delivery took 4 working days in total, 2 days for UK bike store to get the item and 2 days for me to receive it.
Not really next day delivery!

Best Service

This company provided the best and quickest mail order I've ever received here on the Isle of Man, and living over here means that internet purchasing is a way of life. I placed two orders this week, first one arrived in 48 hours but had to return it as I ordered the wrong part. The second order was despatched yesterday within a couple of hours of placing it so it made the boat crossing and I received it this morning. My returned item was also only sent back yesterday and they mailed me to say the refund had been made today.
Outstanding service when you have experienced how some companies perform and take weeks to do the same.

I really can't fault them

Don't know why some of the other reviews here are so bad, maybe they just got unlucky?

I ordered a few things I couldn't find anywhere else e.g. Chainring spacers, along with a few other bits. I was kept updated of the order procedure by email.

My only complaint was that it took ages to arrive after dispatch, but that's nothing to do with the shop and everything to do with the terrible postal service here in Spain. An international courier option might be beneficial rather than relying on the postal system.

Excellent Understated Unfussy Service

UK Bike Store dug me out of a hole and delivered a replacement roc-loc for a top end Giro helmet in double quick time on an item that was not due into stock for a few weeks. Also this component was not readily available from some of the more obvious bike shop sources who did not want to know. Great job.

Spoke with them on the phone and they gave me fitting guidance for the component. Excellent.

Very Very Poor service

I ordered a locknroll seat skewer instead they sent me the wheelsets which I returned to them only to find that thier website was wrong and they couldn't supply the goods I asked for so I asked for a refund which I was told I would get back the same day and an email confirmation.
Guess what nothing has happened emails go ignored and to say the service is terrible is an understatement don't use this company spend your money with somebody else.

Very poor service, spend your hard earned cash with a company who appreciates it!

My post to their Facebook page:

Just to let you know even though you appear not to care, but you really do offer a terrible and unprofessional service, your ordering system is misleading and your inability to inform your customers as to the whereabouts of their orders is beyond a joke! I do try and support local businesses when I can but yours is one business I shall not be supporting in the future!

If anyone is reading this with regards to ordering from ukbikestore read all the terrible reviews they have online. If on the off chance they have something in stock then they are fine but they continue to sell stuff with misleading lead times!

If you continue to conduct your business in this manner I wouldn't be surprised
if you have know customers left!

Could do a lot better!

I ordered a Surly s/s chainring, Website indicated a 4 day delivery from supplier.
After a week - nothing. So i checked my account and order tracking, no info given. I then sent an email to them to find out my order status - no reply.
I then checked back on the website which indicated a 126 day delivery from supplier. This was unacceptable so I sent them a request to cancel my order. They obviously ignored this as the chainring arrived this morning 23 days after placing my order.
My conclusion is:- Don't trust the delivery dates. Don't expect a reply to emails.
