Published prices are based on just having one copy, no assurances, no 'expedited' service, no additional copies, no back-up - with postage and 4 additional copies etc £58! They recommend 10 additional copies!

Many customers choose to purchase additional copies as most organisations (such as the Passport Office, DVLA, banks, etc.) require an original or certified copy rather than a photocopy.

Good but could be easier
Well, little stars mean nothing. The obvious response is that things were sorted out. The process wa relatively smooth but I have no idea as to whether or not the papers went through to the UK Passport office - no feed back there. Equally in a digital age why do we need paper and couriers? All I need is a Passport with my picture on it. Actually I just need to be in a data base. It is all a bit archaic.

They charge a bit fat fee to print you a certificate, then direct you to the completely free .Gov service as you are absolutely no closer to changing your name.
