Gracious and professional

I want to publicly thank Tova for her patience and professionalism during our interactions. We scheduled a fingerprint appointment through her, had tons of questions, and then had to cancel very quickly due to our own misunderstanding and confusion.
She was very gracious in handling all of this drama and went out of her way to grant us a generous refund.
Thank you, Tova!

Inaccurate FBI timeline information

*Update following comment from the company to my original review, which is below:
I am a genuine reviewer with an authenticated Trust Pilot account sharing my experience, as I have with other reviews here which are a mix of good, bad and indifferent.

My mobile call log shows clearly the two calls I made to this company from whom I was requesting information about the timeframe to receive an Identity History Check from the FBI and the earliest time for a fingerprint appointment in London.
When I asked about the FBI processing timeline, the UK Fingerprint.co.uk representative told me in no uncertain terms that the certificate would take weeks to arrive from the FBI. I called and spoke to them on the Friday and was advised there was no appointment until the following Tuesday. Therefore, I decided to research the process myself to expedite it. This experience, I hope, will give others the confidence to pursue the DIY route to save a considerable amount of money and time as it is less complex and a lot easier than it might appear at first.
I was also in touch with the Metropolitan Police who offer a fingerprint service at a cost of £107, the City of London police (£74.80) as well as UK Fingerprints.com who offered me a same day appointment at a cost of £78 and with whom I booked the appointment.

UK Fingerprint.co.uk on whom I have provided this feedback offers a service charge of £150 for application monitoring, if required, plus the cost of the fingerprint service which is advertised currently at £65.
The cost of my DIY route was the fingerprints at £78, the FBI's electronic application system ($18, approximately £14) which provides free status tracking and the Fed Ex express tracked delivery to the FBI in the US. (£37). The FBI electronic system accepts PayPal payment online - no certified check or money order needed as the UK Fingerprint website suggests as the time of this review update.

I also researched DPD, the Post Office and UPS to see who could deliver to the US faster and FedEx was the best for my circumstances.

This is factual information based on my own personal experience to help others navigate this process which is really not that difficult.

Original review:
Called this company regarding fingerprinting for FBI criminal record check. They were quick to respond, which was appreciated. However, when I mentioned FBI customer care had told me when I called them in the US that processing takes about 10 calendar days, I was flatly told this information was incorrect and it would take weeks for me to receive the certificate/ ‘rap sheet’ also known as the Identity History Summary Check (basically the criminal record check.) I did not have weeks to wait.

Therefore, I decided to go elsewhere and handle it myself instead. And I discovered that it is very easy and quick to do!

I used the FBI's electronic request system directly (available on their website) just Google FBI Identity History Summary Check , which cost just $18 via PayPal. I managed to get a next day appointment with another provider, UK Fingerprints in the city, Gracechurch Street.

I sent the prints to the FBI via FedEx Express (2 days delivery) which I booked online and who picked them up from my house (£37). I could track where the package was on the Fed Ex website, which was handy. I received my certificate via email from the FBI, with the option to request a hard copy, less than 7 days after the FBI received my prints.

Total cost doing it myself: approximately £120 including fingerprints, FBI fee, and express postage.

The FBI's own system allows you to log in and check processing status at no additional cost, and their customer service helpline is very helpful and worth the cost of the call, should you need to call them as they can tell you where they are in terms of processing the prints received in their facility.

Hope this information is helpful for others navigating this process. I am glad that I took the time to double check the FBI processing times myself and was very happy with my DIY result!

Absolutely Brilliant!!

Anyone who needs to get any official documentation out of the South African system will know what a pain and disastrous process this can be.
I had to apply for my Police Clearance Certificate and had tried some other (cheaper) companies, which lead to frustration, lost time and money.
UK Fingerprint where absolutely amazing and made it a stress-free experience. Originally I was only going to use them for their fingerprint services, but once they informed me they could do the whole process, I decided to make use of them.
It took a few weeks longer than what they said it will take to get my certificate, but this was not their fault and they kept me informed and updated the whole time. Received my Police Clearance Certificate within 6 weeks.
Would recommend them to anyone. They are worth the price you pay

The team went over and above for me

The team went over and above for me. I needed to get fingerprints for part of my application for a Police Clearance Certificate for Qatar (notoriously nightmarish to obtain from outside of the country). They saw me swiftly for my fingerprint appointment and gave me very helpful advice and tips with the whole process which they did not have to.

I really appreciate it!

Failed to deliver as promised!

We paid a lot of money to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate from Oman. The initial part of UK Fingerprint’s service was fine as they took our fingerprints efficiently when they said they would. They did not, however, manage to obtain original copies of the certificate, something which was essential for our new job applications. We were not kept in touch with what was going on with the application and had to keep contacting them for updates. They are not capable of obtaining these certificates and so it was wrong of them to say they could. We received no apology and no money back for their failure. Find another company with good customer service who can actually deliver what they promise. The whole process was very stressful with this amateurish company.
