Recently I found myself in a situation where I wanted to video chat with someone who had suffered abuse as a result of using one of the better known messaging apps. As a result they were afraid to use most of the commonly used sites, however they had been recommended this company by a friend and refused to try anything else. In order to use the video chat facilities required a subscription of €329 from both of us.í have a neurological condition which causes tremor making operating a virtual keyboard, however my friend surprised me by setting up my profile for me, as I didn't think that should be allowable they also set a password so simple that 99% of websites would not accept, but ukloveconnect did. Having logged in í paid the required subscription but the video calling didn't work. On contacting support we were told that for video calls to work both parties must have the same number of subscriptions and my friend had paid an extra subscription to get some unwanted attention from other site users blocked.Support hadn't mentioned that this would be the case so I paid another €329 to remain compatible.Total combined expenditure €1316. Video calling still didn't work. Support had failed to warn us that subscriptions had to be synchronised ie paid within 5 minutes of each other. Reluctantly I paid first as í had experienced difficulty getting any of the Banks I had accounts with to release the money for the subscription.Having paid I discovered that the text chat facilities had been disabled as soon as our subscriptions didn't match, making it impossible for me to tell my friend to put theirs through. As a result we failed to synchronise so no Video chat. Total expenditure €1974.
Against my better judgement I agreed to pay a further subscription carefully using email to confirm that my payment had gone through and we managed to synchronise but still no video calls despite a combined spend of €2632.
On contacting support we were told that in the panic to synchronise our calls my friend had lost internet connection and had accidentally paid twice. Support said that the accidental payment could not be refunded the only option was to pay another subscription. I refused to pay as I expected them to insist on synchronising afterwards. Our total spend so far €2961 or for compatibility €3290. I consider that I have been thoroughly scammed. Anyone reading this please watch out if you intend to use this site.
