Came in to buy our daughter a bearded dragon and thought that we'd have to deal with the miserable previous owners, and the only reason we we're using them was because it was local incase we had any problems being new beardie owners. What a difference, the new owners are friendly, polite and knowledgeable and actually make you feel like they want your business and you're not just an inconvenience, will be buying all our beardie needs from them 👍😊.

I’ve just dealt with these guys for the first time, placing an order online and using the click and collect option. From my initial enquires via email, I’ve had prompt replies from both Chris and Ian, and when I finally placed an order, as my health isn’t great at the moment, they were more than happy to bring my order out to the car for my wife..... absolutely great service.

I telephoned this company out of pure hope that they could help me with my enquiry. I am absolutely AMAZED at the service I have received!!! From the initial phone call, to the secure packaging, to the quick delivery is absolutely faultless! Very friendly and helpful! I live a long way from them but I will DEFINITELY be ordering from them again!!!!! I can not recommend this company highly enough! Thank you to all involved in the process of my transaction!!!

This store is under new management and the transformation inside is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful making you feel welcome and valued as a customer. The fish room has been totally transformed with a specialist marine and fresh water area, whilst the main shop has a very impressive new reptile area. The fish are healthy, no dead casualties of poor filtration and you are spoilt for choice with coral. The reptiles and small animals are lovingly cared for which is evident for all to see by their skin colour, alertness and overall condition. 5* from me well done Urmston Aquatics you have set a standard for others to follow.

Purchased a Jewel 240 litre tank and cabinet from Urmstom Aquatics. Done some research looking for the best deal and these guys came out on top I was firing emails right left and centre and Chris replied to my every query within minutes. Once I was satisfied with the deal the tank and cabinet were ordered and dropped off at my door by the end of the week.
Faultless service from the staff at Urmston Aquatics. With the best deal available I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys

Ordered some stuff from Urmston Aquatics and it was sent via comedy courier Hermes who delivered some car mats to me instead because Hermes had put my address label on someone else's parcel. I never received my original package which I presume someone else has now thanks to Hermes. I emailed Urmston. They replied back within 5 minutes and sent a replacement straight away. Very reliable and will use them again. Hermes remain incompetent though.

Now that this shop is under new management it is 100% better, i use the shop for marine fish and food and also dog treats and now cold water fish. The staff are very friendly and helpful, overall highly recommended.

I was struggling to find lights for my 14year old vision 180 tank. Somehow l got onto this site. The young lady to whom l spoke to.was absolutely brilliant. Went out of her way to help.l'd actually forgotten what model it was so l have her the measurement of the tank and a discription. She worked out. Good price 👍. Very reasonable P.P. swift delivery.packaged so good l could have thrown it off the roof and it would not have broke. All in all.a pleasing result. I would recommend this shop without hesitation to people. I'm well happy.

I placed an order online, rang up today to enquire about delivery times as this is all during the isolation period.
Was advised my delivery would be sent out Monday morning (Saturday at time of writing this). Thought to mention that my snakes heat bulb had gone out the day before and was just about to enquire about suggestions and the colleague who answered turned up at my door literally 35 minutes later with my full delivery as I was local.
Genuinely 5* service, can't thank you enough!

I ordered a tank with a cabinet, costing almost £530. To no fault of the shop, the cabinet was missing a piece; however, after I asked for either a full or part replacement to be sent and for them to take the original away, I was told that they don't stock them, and it had to come from the manufacturer in Germany. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they claim that it will take longer to arrive, yet when I placed the order, I got the delivery a few days later (not bad to say they don't stock them).

As they claimed that a swap was out of the question, I requested a refund and was told that I would not be entitled to one. Instead, I just have just spent all of that money on a tank that I cannot use because I have to wait for a piece of wood - from Germany. I am now left with an unbuilt cabinet and a tank that I can't use until they source the missing piece.

The sales guy I have been going back and forth with is Chirs. I would avoid trying to sort a resolution out with him as he does not appear to have an ounce of customer service skills.

Fantastic service received by an online buyer. The staff member/ owner replied to me out of hours and was very accommodating while I cancelled a previous order from another company I was having problems with. Excellent communications and would recommend this company. 5 stars

I can't praise these guys enough. Their technical advice has always been honest and clear and helped me save tank disaster and money on more than one occasion. As lockdown came into force Monday they took an order for frozen fish food that afternoon, took the time to check the list and tell me what was available despite it being their busiest online day ever. It all arrived superbly packaged, this morning. Well done you guys!

Had no problems with my purchase. Ordered online on a saturday and delivery came as expected I was contacted by the store as delivery was direct from the manufacturer my only complaint ,and its small, is that it would have been reassuring to have had a note just to say the delivery was definitely going ahead. Really pleased with my redsea reefer

Found them really helpful at first...all I want is a refund for a service I didn’t get,it’s not so much the money as the principal..I paid and didn’t get..sent numerous emails but few replies.
Update...I did receive the refund for the delivery,I was more disappointed with the delivery service than urmston aquatics,I still use them and no further problems,quite the opposite tbh

Customer service is awful. Purchased a fluorescent tube online, received damaged, but I was told I could not get a replacement nor a refund as they test them all before they're posted.
The tube was only in cardboard. No padding except for cardboard.

Excellent aquatics store, I’ve purchased fish, filters, and full aquariums in the past without any problems.

Placed an online order for in stock items processed the transaction and paid. The following day I received a phone call from someone who continually referred to me as “my friend” given I hadn’t spoken with him before and that he had not introduced himself I found this a little odd but not something I would slate anyone for.
I was told that the “in stock” items I had ordered were out of stock but would be in stock in 4 days. This is technically fraud by misrepresentation. When I asked what he proposed I was told I’d have to wait or he’d reluctantly refund me. I asked what he proposed to do to appease me as a customer if I chose to wait to which he replied nothing the manager is off! Before I could suggest that perhaps he should arrange for the manager to call me he abruptly said “I’ll refund you and hung up on me midsentence.
I tried to call back disgusted at this behaviour but found the line engaged for the following hour. Presumably he was rejecting more hours or avoiding anyone calling back given how rude he was! Clearly having read other reviews this is common practice and the store seems to have issues with its store staff and those dealing with its online orders.
I would suggest everyone goes elsewhere or prepares to wait for their items whilst they are sourced and accept poor customer service into the bargain.

Best prices on the internet. The product I purchased was not suitable, but this was returned & a full refund given.

Such an easy transaction. They were one of very few stockists to have the filter media I needed, order process was easy, and delivery super-quick. Thanks!
