Taking 25% restocking fee on defect products

I purchased a 60ft USB extension cord, leery if it would actually work, but I was sold by USB gear's own statements of performance. I get the cabe and guess what, it doesn't work. I can't even get Windows to recognize my unit being connected, let alone transfer any data.

I request a return, I ship it back UPS (paying myself). Weeks pass, no word, no refund. Email them again asking what is going on, no reply, email them again 5 days later, and I get a response that that the refund has been issued -25% restocking fee.

This is indeed clearly stated in their return policy, but should that really apply on items that are not working as advertised? I think not!

All in all, a horrible online shopping experience, I would not recommend them even if they were the ONLY place on this planet that carries what you need. You'd be better off finding an alternate solution to your problem.
