I spoke to your lovely agent Ginger, she was most helpful and very patient with me, made me feel at ease ☺️. Other customer service staff could learn alot from this young lady 😀 definitely knows how... See more

Gas went off again, unable to top up as it says ‘rejected - duplicate’ had this problem 3 weeks ago and needed an engineer, call handler wasn’t listening to me and kept saying “so is the problem your electric or gas” after I said twice I had no gas. She got frustrated and wouldn’t read the notes from the same issue 3 weeks ago (or the end of her shift) as she hung up on me.
I had to phone back wait in que for 20 minutes to get through to someone helpful who actually got someone to resolve the issue for me.
Other downside is that even though the government have continued the energy cap, Utilita are still putting up there’s prices as they told me today.
Taken them to ombudsman twice, won once (other ongoing), time to find myself a new supplier.

I’ve been with Utilia for a few years now, there features are really good 👍, friendly credit, & when you can’t afford to top up there power up feature comes in very handy, yes you have to pay it back but not all at once, you can also enter raffles not that I’ve ever won and don’t ever expect to but it’s all entered in fun, I won’t be changing from Utilia any time soon, I really recommend them

Utilita extra competitions are not real can't find anyone anywhere who has ever won anything and I have searched high and low it's just a gimmick to keep customers by promising prize draws that don't actually exist

A man from Utilita came in my flat today saying that he needed to check my meter and that I will be helped with the charges and stuff and also with the £67 from the Government. I'm French, I don't know all the Energy companies in the UK so I was trusting him, believed that he would help me with my meter which I had some issue with in the past. The man never said that he wanted to switch me from my current supplier.
So the man did a comparative about their price and my energy supplier (obviously my supplier won on the price because they are one of the most cheaper company for a Green Energy) and the man said "There must be something wrong", so he did it again, but that time wanted to put another company which we all know is dearer and it's from there I knew something was not right!!! He also asked me to go back to my desk to work and don't mind him (excuse me? so he can add more wrong infos???) I also had to put my details such as my name, email address and phone number.
I called my energy supplier (the man made a comment "it will take a long time", I said "no, I know my supplier") and asked them what is Utilita and said to me "it's an energy supplier"... I told the man to get out of my house! He never said that he was an energy supplier. I'm quite angry about what happened. What if it was an old lady?
Company to be avoided in my opinion, they don't do things right...

The fact you have to have five pounds on your metre before using savings and it should be a pound or 2 pounds .
Eating through gas and electric when I turn all switches of in my house no gas on at night .
Great customer service who helped me to o up my metres manually thank you kind sir .
When in difficulty even emergency can't help because you have to be of supply
I believe the poorest of people are being taken advantage of by gas and electric companies
I believe utilita could do more to help those in a more deprived capacity and you should be able to have 150 to use when in an emergency and need to borrow from the company this should be able to use on a two weekly basis and pay back when it is more affordable and convenient
It is disgusting that people have to sit in the cold and be unable to keep warm same as electric people can't cook or make drinks when they have no electric yet solely rely on electricity for their needs
As for the rewards since being with utilita energy I have never won a big cash prize in the prize draw or any other extra rewards seems to be up north never in the south east in all honesty what is the point in entering these bloody prize draws when no one actually wins would be bloody great to have a windfall like this but no nada nought nothing
I thought utilita were a really good company but I am slowly changing my mind and thinking of going to a different company after the windfall so to speak would be going back on the bloody metres anyways ... ?!!!!!!

Would give minus if I could numerous complains got a good will gesture supposable in June still waiting on and now been told we apparently decline however we never did went though to offgem and won still no good will gesture . Similar thing happened recently sent a complaint in due to them deleting out account and gas supply cut off unable to top up as account didn't exist which KILLED our family pet as couldn't keep warm. 3 months later get a 'good will guesture offer ' of £40. No sorry no we will try and sort this out as happened twice now nothing so even if we accept this 'good will gesture ' we will not see it like we never saw the previous one. Way too many problems and are desperate to leave them beyond ridiculous.

The customer service is great if you can get through to speak to an agent. Waiting on the phone for more than an hour is not acceptable.
As for the award winning app, unsure as to what awards it has won. It is great for topping up but absolutely woeful if you want to transfer credit between meters.
All of the government payment goes onto the electric meter and I want to do a simple task of transferring some of it onto my gas meter however the "app" bizarrely has only worked once on a solitary occasion since its inception.
date.
I have sent emails and uninstalled the app and reinstalled as initially recommended but it just doesn't want to operate.
A good company that is let down by it's temperamental technology and inability to answer the phone when things go wrong

Can not fault the company and always look after their customers I love the competitions although I have never won anything but its very good the prizes and also the emergency amount is very good unlike some companies

At the moment i am so disappointed with them, send messages and get no replies, dont even read them. Just says i won a prize and cant find out anything about it. Just spoke to a very pleasant man, who sorted my problem out, Said will get back to me, so i am gonna wait and see. 03/01/23

The new layout is so clear and easy to read. Love doing the competitions ( not won yet but hay ho).I know that if I am having difficulties, they are easy to contact and willing to help.

The money was delivered in timely fashion I'll give utilita that but as a prepayment customer we get ripped off and I'm not inclined to give an electricity company a good review and utilitas customer service has been pretty awful to me
Edited to add. I have no interest in talking to you don't try and ring me again I've previously put in an ofgem complaint and won. Utilita you have nothing to say that I want to hear. I've deducted a star because the irony of you trying to contact me only when I'm publicly critical sums up you as an organisation.
Maybe you should spend time actually dealing with customers on your own service rather than responding on trust Pilot with generic meaningless replies and it's somewhat stalkery (after all how do know who we are like I'm sure I'm not the only Sam Sims you have as a customer)

Never had an issue with utilita, the credit transfer is so welcomed, with the cost of living payments going on electricity but we need heat too transferring it is brilliant. My only criticism is I've never won on amy of the extra rewards in a lot of years haha.

I won £100 worth of energy which is brilliant and much needed. Thank you.I can’t think of another energy company who offers the services Utilita does especially for vulnerable people like myself. Well done keep up the good work.

Complained over 9 weeks ago now and still not sorted
Worse company ever , don’t care about there customers. Don’t answer phones , or messages . They lie to the customer, the app never works , yet they keep posting about Christmas prizes to be won over Xmas . Just give us what we are all entitled to each month

Great energy provider. Easy to top up on the app, and the digital display is so easy to use & show how much credit you have & what you have used. Great prizes on offer also, not that I have won one yet.

I would advise anyone not to enter the competitions with Utilita I won some concert tickets in March I never received them. I contacted Utilita to complain and was told to pick a concert of my choice for the O2 arena I told them what concert I wanted and was told if I have not received the tickets by beginning of November to contact them. No one is answering the phones when you ring and if you email them they do not respond I still have not received the tickets the competitions are a waste of time you don't get the prize you win
