Run from them!!+

Up till now, Vacansoleil haven't held any meeting to tell us why we haven't been paid yet.

Vacansoleil told us that a lawyer was working on our case but still they didn't provide us( Italian employees ) with any information.

While my Spainish colleague I worked together with got paid last month but still, they refuse to explain why our case in Italy is different.

Shamelessly deleting my post on LinkedIn😡😡😡

they take your money, keep it and cancel your holiday

Friends ( family with 2 kids) have booked with this company in 2021 for a camping site in France. They payed all in full, got confirmation of their booking and assignment of their lodging cabin. Vacansoleil had the nerve to cancel their booking 5 days prior to departure and no alternative was proposed.
They are stuck now and VacanSoleil took all their holiday money.

MOREOVER they did not tell the client they had SOLD the camping to VacanceSelect mid June already, while confirmation was made END June. They did not give one single scheiss to transfer existing bookings to the new owner of the camping site.
RESULT.: HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES DO NOT HAVE A VACATION!! This is a camping owner who does not give a s about their customers

I worked for Vacansoleil this summer…

I worked for Vacansoleil this summer and all I can say is that they are an awful, fraudulent company. Avoid them at all costs! They do not care about their customers, nor their workers. I was forced to do illegal overtime (almost double the hours stated in my contract), and then they refused to pay me for all of my extra hours. On top of this, they told me to lie about my hours (reducing them for their system), which I said I wouldn't do. They then blackmailed me and said if I didn't do it then they wouldn't reimburse me for my holiday time not taken. Vacansoleil is getting a very bad rep amongst the season workers community.

Voucher not refund for COVID-19 affected booking

Booked with Vacansoleil for a bike club trip to France and was due to be there right now except COVID-19 and the government restrictions on travel to France meant it got cancelled. Luckily I had only paid £100 deposit but other members of my club had been promised a full refund. I emailed their Cork office who I booked with but was told by 2 different staff members that HQ Policy is to give a voucher valid for 2021 - 2022. The staff were polite and answered very quickly but I am very unimpressed with HQ Policy in these very difficult times. Just grateful I have only lost £100 as it is very unlikely I will be travelling over again due to all my other events being postponed to 2021.

Refund vs voucher? I want a refund, but..........

It is disappointing that in the current climate where holidays are being cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis, Vacansoleil are continuing the refuse to refund deposits, instead insisting that they only issue vouchers.

After reading the reviews below, it is apparent that they struggle to deliver on the service promise and now they refuse to refund deposit s where they have cancelled the holiday. They say in times of crisis that the good shines through, bu that it is also the bad becomes evident and in the case of this company I believe they fall into the latter category.

There should be regulations to protect the customer from actions such as this, but there are! and Vacansoleil are not adhering to them.

This has been my experience and I thought I should share it to make people aware.

Dear Steve,

we are very sorry to hear that you had this negative experience with us. This situation also affected us with force majeure and through no fault of our own and we are currently trying to find a satisfactory solution for the large number of customers concerned. Our approach currently includes the issuing of vouchers, because unfortunately we cannot offer repayments due to the exceptional circumstances.

Since we are currently receiving an enormous number of questions, there may be delays in answering customer inquiries. We strive to deal with all concerns promptly and apologize for the inconvenience given the current situation.
We are of course always available to answer any questions.
Best regards

Ex Employee - Horrible company

As an ex employee, I can agree with the majority of the reviews, Vacansoleil do not care about their guests!, as a camping host, I tried to help the guests as much as I could to make their vacation the best, however was not supported by the company, I was told " if the guests don`t like their accommodation..tough", this was awful customer service, and I felt helpless towards my guests.

The tents are old, dirty, and swarming with ants, yet Vacansoleil don`t seem to care about the experience for their guests. even when I tried to accommodate the requests of my guests, my area manager told me to "stop helping, guests they need to shut up and stop complaining!!"

When guests complain, the office does not care, which leaves the camping hosts vulnerable to abuse and the guests with no explanation or help.

The accommodation is expensive and awful, far less than what you would get with Eurocamp.

Vacansoleil bullies you, and brainwashes you to not care, they just to focus on making money, both the guests and I were treated like animals. The company also lies to you, and are not to be trusted.

I urge anyone wanting to work in the travel business to look for different companies to work for, who support and value their employees, do not work for Vacansoleil as you will regret it and it will stop you wanting to work in this industry again.

Do not book a holiday with Vacansoleil!

We have been visiting French campsites for 12 years normally with Eurocamp or direct with the campsite. This year we thought we would give Vacansoleil a try as we have seen their presence on some campsites and their prices looked good. The description of the accommodation sounded perfect - includes air conditioning - which was a must in Provence in July. Vacansoleil were quick to take our payment. And that's where our relationship ended. No presence on the campsite, no welcome pack, no follow-up after the holiday. Probably sensible because I would have let rip! Basically they act as a broker, offering absolutely nothing over and above if you book direct with the campsite. They are also a con-artist. Our caravan was just a standard pitch at the campsite, and while it was clean and tidy, it wasn't a patch on what we were used to (for similar price!) with Eurocamp. Worst of all there was NO air conditioning and NO barbecue. While we were able to pay extra at the campsite to obtain a gas BBQ, we were not offered an alternative caravan with air conditioning. The temperature reach 35 degrees Celsius most days and the temperature inside the caravan was unbearable. We did cool off nicely in the pool and lake but Vacansoleil really made me angry with their false information and complete disinterest in customer care (after they had received my payment of course!). So, if you are thinking of booking with Vacansoleil, DO NOT DO IT, just book direct with the campsite and get what you paid for - at least that way, if it goes wrong, you have some comeback with the campsite staff. Vacasoileil were utterly disinterested when we phoned them to complain!

Just home from my camp holiday to Costa…

Just home from my camp holiday to Costa Brava and i booked it with vacansoleil and i have mix feelings about them firstly when i got there nobody knew i was coming had to wait for till they found the rep eventually got to my moblie home and i also booked an extra to be close to the pool and that was a waste of money i couldn't have been further away or i would be standing outside the camp gates , so after settling in the next day i was told that i have to move my family as someone else already booked the mobile home i was given 😪 that there was hole in the roof so when it was raining for a couple of days everybody was enjoying nights on there deck but me cause it soaking wet 😥 on a positive note it was nice and clean and very cosy in side we made the most of our holiday but for the money i paid i expected better probably won't be booking with them again 😓 to much hardship

Vacansoleil - don't use them.

We took 3 young grandchildren to De Twee Bruggen camp site in Holland in September. The site was great and the kids loved it. HOWEVER, Vacansoleil, who we booked through, let us down really badly. Due to using the ferry from the UK we arrived about 8:30 pm only to find the we had a mobile home with only 4 beds instead of 5. The Vacansoleil brochure misrepresented the accommodation, because the mobile home was below the standard we were expecting. The site manager was fantastic and found us alternative accommodation in a great chalet. I highly recommend these. I have given Vacansoleil opportunities to respond to my complaint, but I have heard nothing. These guys had one job to do - book according to our agreement - and they failed. For this they charge a booking fee! If it hadn't been for the site manager we would have been really stuck. I certainly will never use them again.

Don't trust Vacansoleil !

Camping Riu in San Pere Pescador Spain

I am writing this in English as everybody show be aware when/if they consider Vacansoleil as a travel agent.
On Vacansoleil website, this camping site is supposed to be a 4 star place in a very nice area.
Well, don't trust the pictures! The place should be rated at about 2 stars or less. It looks like a building site, it smells like a junk yard. The swimming pool and the tent pictures are from another site probably. It is NOT close to the beach , (30 to 40 minutes walking,) there is only 20 cm in between tents (where is the fire department?) . The toilets looks from like in between 19, 20 century. Remember your own toilet paper! There is something outside somewhere...
Talking to a quite unpleasant lady in the Danish office, we were advised to "rebook" , which in Vacansoleil language means book another trip and forget about the €800 we paid.
We tried to explain the situation to the Dutch Main Office but they are just sending us back to the Danish office promising to call back.
There was nothing, NOTHING we could explain to their office that could make them move one inch. Basically , you paid and the rest is your problem.
I usually go and read other peoples reviews but since we had a good experience in the past we trusted them .
During our conversation with them they use the "table tennis " policy, drive your customer crazy and tired until they give up. The payment is done, they've got the money ,you're on your own . We have used most of our first vacation day to talk to them and try to get some help to rebook to another site. About 2 hours in the phone. No help at all!
So, dear Vacansoleil , do you really want people to trust you?
Send your employes on customer service training camp. Especially the Danish office.
Make your websites trustworthy.
I will post here the pictures later showing the Vacansoleil own classification of "4 stars".
