STOP BEING CHEAP HIRE PEOPLE THAT UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH WE ARE SPEAKING ON MY MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!

Why do I have to give one star? Terrible customer service, you get connected to someone in another country that doesnt speak english as a first language and doesnt understand what you are saying. If you are lucky and get someone in the US they are just as terrible, I spent an hour yesterday trying to speak to someone and was not successful. Im not sure if they blocked me from calling but after imputting my social and DOB several times the phone just hung up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joy Jackson is a US agent that hung up on me, FYI take names everytime you call I am sending a complaint with names to the corporate office:

I would never recommend Vanguard to…

I would never recommend Vanguard to anyone. The whole process with them about taking my money out has been peppered with misinformation, appointments made and then cancelled, they have been very very slow, send messages in their portal to you each time from a different person. All in all their customer service is bad .

I have used Vanguard for over 30 years

I have used Vanguard for over 30 years. In the last 5 years their customer service has become worthless. Their website is terrible and faults out. So why three stars because like Amazon they suck but they are the best game in town. Their mutual funds are great and have low expenses ratios. You just have to keep trying the website until you get it done. Strongly recommend no using customer service, the reps have offer incorrect information to me twice.

The Messages the company uses to communicate with clients are confusing and lack sufficient direction and instructions. For example, if they want you to upload something, they don't tell you what it i.! This leads to poor customer service. I have been extremely frustrated and will probably transfer my holdings as soon as I can.

A fast way to destroy decades of brand equity.

An absolute disaster for their institutional prestige. As a consultant managing significant capital, the recent degradation of Vanguard’s services is nothing short of shocking. The platform's user interface has become unrefined and entirely frustrating, but the true failure lies in their customer support. Attempting to resolve basic account inquiries or execute transfers results in agonizing hold times, circular conversations, and personnel who wholly lack the expertise required to assist institutional clients. Faltering on fundamental account accessibility and relying on incompetent support frameworks is a breach of fiduciary reliability. Time is the ultimate currency, and Vanguard currently demonstrates a complete disregard for it. I am actively transitioning my firm's capital to an institution that still understands the necessity of a frictionless experience. Unacceptable.

Vanguard IS CRAP NOW

I have used Vanguard for over 30 years, It used to be simple and accurate but now it is impossible to buy and sell between existing funds. They have bought into the AI scam and totally screwed up the website. you can't talk to a real person anymore. I WILL BE MOVING MY MONEY ASAP

They are a joke and they above all they…

They are a joke and they above all they have a terrible service. I still wonder how I was able to get convinced by them because they had multiple red flags, first the terrible UI and also their support which responds once in like a week and them suspending my account and restricting me from taking out my money, I can go on listing how bad the service was. After I realized what they had done, I was so ashamed to even talk about it to anyone but glad I found the courage to confide#Coinforensiclabs#... I was able to receive insight and a clear explanation on how to proceed and eventually had the situation re solved.
They whole situation with Vanguard was so overwhelming and it had me weak to my bones, but in all it is all a thing of the past now but I would urge everyone to be wary of them and treat with caution.

Horrible customer service experience

Horrible customer service experience. I was trying to get my mother into her account and they wouldn't help me call her in, sent me a form to fill out that required her account number to get into her account and we didn't have the number because they locked us out of her account. I spoke to five customer service people that day and they were not helpful
I'm moving my money out to Bitci Stack Asset for guaranteed ROI, secured 401k and better customer service.

What Customer Service????

I am annoyed to say the least. They do not care about their customers. I requested a hardship withdrawal from my account last month. I STILL DO NOT HAVE IT AFTER TALKING TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO DON'T GIVE CONSISTENT INFORMATION. They keep apologizing for the lengthy wait. Don't apologize just tell me what you need me AT THE SAME TIME. This is unacceptable. I hate that my employer uses Vanguard. Fidelity is so much easier to deal with whether using self service or customer service. Not only are they kind but they are competent.

INSULTING, TERRIBLE, INEPT, TIME CONSUMING SERVICE.

I have a 401A account, among others, and it took me approximately 90 minutes to affect an RMD after being disconnected once, placed on 2 expended holds for 40 minutes, being authenticated 5 times and being asked the same questions repeatedly. John Bogle must be turning in his grave. After a 43-year relationship with Vanguard, I will now transfer my accounts to Fidelity.

I have been attempting to open regular brokerage account and IRA account with Vanguard for some six months. The accounts are still not open.
Vanguard has the worst customer service by far; zero attention to clients; awful website. All they do is send secured messages.

Love vanguard

Don’t know why there are so many negative reviews here.

I have been investing on vanguard platform for about 20 years. I have my brokerage account, retirement accounts, 529 college savings accounts. There are many funds and fees are generally very low. It worked great for me.

I don’t use much customer support, I almost only use the web site and mobile app. They are not the best in terms of usability, but good enough for me.

I would highly recommend vanguard to everyone.

Bots are broken


Takes FOREVER to get through to a sentient being. My throat is hoarse by the time I do. They make one listen to reams of irrelevant info and make you verify yourself OVER and OVER again.

They told me to Google the question I had and gave me incorrect information

Every time I call Vanguard I get a different story. I called because I needed a check reissued. This person told me I needed to send a letter of instruction. I asked for more information on how they want this done and she said to google it. I told her there’s no way they don’t have some information and she reluctantly sent me a list of what should be in the letter. When I asked for a supervisor she said she couldn’t do that and to dial again. I did what she said and a month later had to call again because I never got an update. Apparently I couldn’t get the check reissued because there wasn’t a form attached to the letter of instruction. I never was told about a form. On top of this , the form needs to be notarized which I was never told about either. So this person told me to google, and then gave me the wrong info and wasted a month of my time. Keep in mind this is probable 6 calls I’ve been trying to fix the same issue. Thankfully the last person I spoke to was helpful and sent me the information I need to get this done, but it’s been very difficult. Oh also both of these calls when they put me on hold it hangs up sometimes.

Horrible Customer Support; Disregard for Customers

Vanguard customer support is among the worst I have ever encountered. They are unable to solve even basic issues, do not follow up on cases, and fail to solve issues that can have major implications on the lives and financial wellbeing of their customers - which is particularly concerning given their industry. I have had to call repeatedly over the past 2 months to attempt to resolve an issue that has an April 15th deadline and each time I get the same responses from support agents (who have clearly not read my ticket), have to provide the same context, and get told that they'll submit another case and they will follow up in 2-3 business days. Vanguard has NEVER followed up with me despite those promises and now I expect that I will face a tax penalty because I simply cannot get anyone to respond despite having completed thorough paperwork and submitted a formal letter of instruction.
