My car broke down 2mths ago I’m still waiting to get it back they have fitted a new oil pressure sensor (broke down) they then fitted a new oil pump or tried too the wrong size arrived. After waiting 2wks for technical support to instruct the garage what to do next a new pump arrived. (Broke down again) so here I am 2mths in STILL waiting for technical support to give instructions on what to do next. Customer support is completely useless I don’t see the point of them they do nothing to help you. I will never buy a Vauxhall again. I would love to hear from someone higher up at Vauxhall to discuss there terrible service.

Poor app and poor communication

A couple of things are wrong with this company. Firstly, when buying an electric car more effort from the sales team needs to go into ensuring the customer knows the pitfalls of having an electric car- from battery life to realistic mileages. Questions about how the car will be used should guide the customer into which sized car/battery is best - especially if the intention wasn’t to buy an electric car in the first place.
Secondly the myvauxhall app- I was told I could monitor my car’s charging from my phone- but that is only the case if I spend £12.99 per month which is ridiculous.

Appalling!

My daughter had a Vauxhall Combo EV through the Motorbility Scheme on 18/2/25, and by 3rd June, it had been off the road 64 days out of the 105 days we had had it. The people at the dealership were doing their best, but they had to keep asking advice from Vauxhall E-tech who didn't seem to have a clue. What annoyed us most was that we sent two emails to Vauxhall Complaints and they haven't had the decency to even respond to them. We only went with Vauxhall as we wanted a company with a local dealership, and my daughter is limited on which vehicles she can have that are suitable for her electric wheelchair and that she can afford the down payment on.
The whole debacle sent my daughter into a spiral of depression as she was stuck in the house for the first few weeks as the courtesy cars we were offered weren't suitable for her wheelchair.
We won't ever be using Vauxhall again!

Wet belt known faults by Vauxhall which they don't cover even under warranty

We have a Vauxhall crossland which we purchased 3yrs ago and have had it serviced as advised which we were told our first service for us was due at 34,000 miles and a sticker was on the window. In October 24 the car started to cut out. We took it to a garage that checked everything and did diagnostics on it and nothing showed up. It ceased up a further 3 times which 2 of them we were on the motorway doing 60 mph and it dropped to 10mph thankfully we were able to get onto the hard shoulder and waited 10 minutes until it started again. This was in February and we're were booked in the next week for a service so mentioned it again and nothing showed. The error said chech oil filter so after the service we thought it would be fine as all were changed. But 8 day after it broke down again. This time the AA came out and they advised straight away that it was the wet belt and was a known problem with these engines. The local dealer had the car and contacted Vauxhall to check if covered under the warranty but they wouldn't cover the repair as said we missed our service by 8weeks as should have been done end of August 24. We advised we were told 34,000 miles and it was completed at 32,000. Bur apparently it was 1yr or the mileage which ever came first (I have checked the service book and it doesn't advise that anywhere). We had to cover the cost and then take it up with Vauxhall direct. We did this and the person dealing with us was very rude and not interested at all said she would check but came back with no. We took our case to the motor ombudsman who checked our case and advised Vauxhall wouldn't change and we could contact them again and ask if there's anything they could reimburse us with as car was under 4yrs old and only done 40,000 miles. We did this and even though Vauxhall knows it's a fault as they have changed the composition of the belts still refused to reimburse us. This is our first Vauxhall but can be assured it will be our last and we advise everyone we know to avoid them now and we will by going back to Hyundai.

Wilsons Vauixhall Scunthorpe

I have been using Wilsons Vauxhall of Scunthorpe since 2017 when I bought my first new car for 20 years. Cannot fault the sales staff except ffor the sales manager. Bought a 2022 Mokka for £18000 and loved it. However after 8 weeks had a warning light for tyre pressure come on/ Checked and someone, not me, had repaired the tyre from the outside. Probably a roadside repair. Tyre needed to be replaced at £170-180. Went back to Wilsons and the sales manager quite clearly said "not their problem". Now I thought that Vauxhall did over 100 checks on all second hand cars. Obviously they dont. Taking the car to Kwik Fit it was pointed out that the car also had three different tyre makes on it. Two Michelin, one Bridgestone and one cheap Chinese! Not actually against the law but not recommended. Reasons are obvious but an additional one is that the cars tyre pressure syste, cannot cope with the cheap Chinese and ten miles at 60mph on a motorway caused the warning light to come on regardless of tyre pressure. Overall the 100 plus check is not worth anything. I highly recommend that if you buy a used car from Wilsons Scunthorpe get an AA check. Will cost you but will save you money in the end as the Vauxhall check at this dealership is not worth the paper its printed on. I did escalate his attitude and lack of customer service and attitude and the tyre mismatch to Market Area Head of Business Scunthorpe but did not receive response other than it wasn't their problem. End result I am out of pocket, I cancelled my monthly service plan and will never visit that dealership again. Love the car however.

Vauxhall customer care are terrible

Vauxhall customer care are terrible, the call centre is based overseas and the customer service operatives literally could not care less about you. They literally provide zero help on the faults with the cars. I absolutely regret buying a Vauxhall car.

Do NOT take out an extended warranty I took out another year on top of their 1 year with TWG My whole centre system has gone So no….Screen USB Auxiliary power outlet or sound for the indicators No one can fix it except Vauxhall Quoted just under £1400 & TWG will give me £166 !!! Vauxhall & their warranty people hold you to ransom that you have to have the work done by the main dealer then screw you over Yes fair enough cars break & on my drive I have 3 Corsas for myself & 2 family members I love our cars But I don’t like the situation I’m in It’s made me quite ill You take warranty for these events to cover yaself & expect to pay an excess certainly But surely I should get to pay the £166 & the warranty should take the majority of the cost not the other way round Will never get lured into extended warranty ever again

Disgraceful customer service!!!

Disgraceful customer service!!!
My mokka broke down with amber engine failure and wouldn’t start, got a local garage to fix it as needed the car back asap, car still under 3 year warranty so phoned Vauxhall up to get a refund and they wouldn’t help because I didn’t take it to a Vauxhall dealer, but they don’t realise my local dealer 20mins away so either me paying for a tow truck or if my car started and driving it over to them, could of caused more damage to engine or what happened if I had a accident whilst driving it to them, then I’d be at fault for driving not Vauxhall
Also how long would their garage take to fix it??!!

Extremely Disappointed – MOT Appointment Mishandled and No Accountability

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at the Arnold Clark Vauxhall branch on Glasgow Hamilton Road.

I booked an MOT appointment for my Vauxhall Vivaro via the official Arnold Clark website on 7 March 2025, with the MOT scheduled for 2 May 2025. I received confirmation emails and even completed the online check-in in advance. The website clearly recognised my vehicle make and model, yet on the day of the appointment, I was told the branch could not perform a Class 7 MOT and was simply turned away.

The attitude of the staff was unprofessional and dismissive. The duty manager refused to take any responsibility, blaming a "system error" without offering any assistance or empathy. I felt ignored and mistreated throughout the entire interaction.

To make matters worse, I later checked Vauxhall's official website and found that this very branch still appears as a valid MOT service location for my vehicle registration. This raises serious questions—was I turned away due to discriminatory treatment, or is the dealership providing false service information?

I’ve sent formal complaints to both Arnold Clark and Vauxhall and have yet to receive any meaningful reply or apology.

This experience has completely shattered my trust in Arnold Clark. I bought my vehicle from this very branch and used to have a positive opinion—now I feel disrespected and let down every time I return for after-sales service.

I strongly urge both Arnold Clark and Vauxhall to review the service standards and conduct at this branch.

Shockingly evil and wickedly vile

Vauxhall are shockingly bad at everything they do.

I have a motability car with them - a Mokka. After ordering, I had to wait 8/9 months for it.

The car itself I've had nothing but problems with, the eco button fell out recently and vauxhall said in 12 years that had never happened. On collecting the car back a gentleman approached the desk while I was paying £150 for the repair and reported exactly the same issue! So that's at least 2 in 1 day.
I've had to have multiple tyres fitted, the battery is failing after just 1 year of use.
When I reported this to vauxhall, they advised it was the way I was driving, I know how to drive an electric car having done it for 3 years. The air con is very poor, the warning lights flash on and off intermittently - ive had RAC out twice with these issues and they advised "yep, that's a vauxhall". The cruise control turns itself off after a certain amount of time, if you overtake a parked car, the car pulls you back into the lines which is very dangerous.

The best thing about vauxhall is the ability to give the car back after the contract ends!! The 2nd best thing is they've made me realise how important walking is so I've never been more healthy

Vauxhall customer care idiots and…

Vauxhall customer care idiots and blaggards. My vehicle has been in the dealers since Jan and we are now nearly in May. From problem to problem, waiting for spares, waiting for staff on holiday, never ring back, never update. Told the vehicle will be completed by the end of the week, then nothing comes back for two weeks, then chased only to be told more problems. No curtesy vehicle offered and costing a fortune in hire vehicle charges for my company .... NEVER AGAIN !!!!

Zero customer care from Vauxhall Customer care team

Our 4 month old vehicle has broken down on the side of the motorway , the RAC attended but couldn't fix it and they cant recover to a repairing dealer as they have no availability until a weeks time ! . So the vehicle will have to be recovered to home or work and then recovered again to a dealer in a weeks time for repair & possibly at our expense according to vauxhall !
Apparently we are not entitled to a replacement vehicle until the issue has been diagnosed but they can't look at it for a week ! So we have no vehicle for at least a week or more.
Vauxhalls customer care team have a terrible unhelpful uncaring "computer says no" attitude , I spoke to 3 different people all of which offered no help , suggestions or assistance of any sort they literally didn't care and I speak as someone who has worked in customer service for decades
Having spent £30k on a vehicle 4 months ago the after sales service is apalling.
86% negative reviews and Vauxhall not even bothering to respond to any of them tells you everything you need to know about this company

AGAIN they dont even deserve a one…

AGAIN they dont even deserve a one star,
we have to give that to write a review,
Again and again we are let down by the people that work for Vauxhall,
Nothing wrong with the vehicles they produce its the people that work within that let the whole establishment down,
I did say on my last review that i would never give them the business again,
But we bypassed our local dealership in Weston Super Mare because they are to be polite totaly useless,
We drove 350 miles to wellingborough as they in the past have given excellent service something that is completely lacking in the weston super mare branch, sadly wellingborough did not have what we were looking for,
My issue with weston continues,,, i finaly got the door fixed 24/4/25 after submitting the issue back last september 24, apparently they have had the part but could not be bothered to let me know, originaly i paid over £450 for a piece of 20pence plastic which failed shortly after fitting,
Now the issue is a problem with the ignition and i am being again asked to make payment of approx £425.
The annoying thing is when i bought this vehicle 2 1/2 years ago the sales pitch was dont worry Mr warne you will have trouble free motoring for 3 years as you have a 3 year warranty ,,, the warranty covers sod all, unless the engine drops out or something,
They are not worth the dam paper they are written on,
I then started a chat with the sales manager Simon,
I rang the direct line and was told he would ring me in 20 minutes,
i got a call 26 hours later.
I then this week called again via the customer service number and was told he was busy but would ring me back,
2 days later nothing,
So i went to Weston branch and tried to talk with him,
He walked past me and said he was busy and would be straight over .
never came over again so i left a message with a very helpful man by the name of shaun for him to ring me yesterday 24th nothing,
So i spoke to shaun today 25/4 on the phone and once again asked to speak with him,
You guessed it i have been ignored again,

WESTON SUPER MARE DRIVE VAUXHALL.
WHAT A JOKE,,, GOOD PRODUCT RUN BY PEOPLE THAT SHOULD NOT BE THEIR AND THAT IS POLITE,
