Paywall is trash

literally clicked thee times and hit a paywall. The free tools are basically useless if you actually want to see anything meaningful

You didn’t “hit a paywall after three clicks” — you were using the limited, no-credit-card trial. That version is intentionally restricted.

We offer a 7-day full-access trial specifically so users can evaluate the platform properly. If you want meaningful data, that’s the version to use.

Viberate is a professional analytics tool, not a free browsing tool.

Former artist curator

I've worked as an artist curator for Viberate a few years ago, and it has been a cool experience for me where I connect and work with music fans from all around the world. While working on this project, I discovered so many great artists and bands. Sadly, the project ended once they decided to rely on AI. But I can say I have had a pleasant experience, got paid to do research about artists and music from different parts of the world. I still use the website for various projects to this day. It's very useful if you're into music-related data that you can rely on.

That’s expected. If your "very obscure garage band" hasn’t generated real activity on streaming and social media platforms or radio, there simply isn’t much data to work with. No platform can show stats that don’t exist.

That said, drop the artist name here — happy to check if there’s anything we’re missing or if they just haven’t built enough footprint yet.

As an indie artist

As an indie artist, this tool has been great for tracking our audience growth and understanding where our fans are. The insights are really detailed. My only feedback is the user interface took me a couple days to fully get the hang of. Still worth it though

Easy to use and worth the price tried a bunch of music analytics…

I’ve tried a bunch of music analytics tools, and Viberate is one I keep using.

What I like is how quick it is to get what’s going on. I can check an artist and instantly see what’s moving, like playlist reach, streams, and audience growth. No digging around or trying to figure out what I’m looking at.

Pricewise it’s also solid. It’s cheaper than a lot of other tools I’ve tried, so it’s easy to keep using without overthinking it.

WATCH OUT

WATCH OUT. these guys are one step shy of scammers, and i’ve literally never had anyone be so rude to me via email support.

i don’t usually write bad reviews, but this was a year ago now and i still cant let it go, so i feel i have to warn you and others not to go anywhere near this company.

AUTO RENEW is turned on by default, which i was unaware of. they charged me $347. i caught it almost immediately and reached out (within the hour they charged me) to say it was a mistake and to please cancel my subscription and refund me please.

not only did he gaslight me saying “you should know every company including netflix turns on auto-renew, that’s on you”

but he straight up insulted me to my face saying “i keep track of every expense including my kids bubble gum money, this is on you buddy”. yeah man, that’s why i contacted you immediately when i noticed 347 missing from my account…

he said some other stuff as well. i’ve literally never had anyone be so rude. i have screenshots.

i hope others find this review so they can STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE VIBERATE PLEASE

Hi Donny,

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

In our initial exchange, we explained that under our Terms of Service we are unable to issue refunds for subscription renewals. We also offered to cancel your subscription immediately to prevent any future charges. You indicated that this was not acceptable, as you were unaware that the subscription renews automatically.

To clarify, the automatic renewal is clearly stated during checkout twice. As with most subscription-based services, renewals continue unless cancelled in advance.

We also need to address two important points from your review.

First, you quoted our agent as saying “this is on you buddy” twice. Our agent did not say or write those words at any point. That statement was never part of the communication, and we retain full records of all correspondence.

Second, during our exchange you stated that you would leave a negative review if we did not comply with your refund request. We want to note this fact for transparency, as it forms part of the overall context of the situation.

Throughout our communication, we remained professional and respectful. We never insulted or dismissed you. The agent said that he personally tracks his expenses carefully because he believes it is important for managing finances responsibly. This was shared as context, not as criticism.

We respectfully ask that you review and correct the statements in your public review that inaccurately describe our communication, including the quoted phrases that were never said.

If you would like to continue the discussion in a constructive manner, we remain open to doing so.

Best regards,
Viberate

Honestly Trash

Honestly, not good for data. They individually reach out and try to learn about other data to include. Just bad infrastructure with big promises and 0 functionality for anything professional.

Inaccurate data they won’t fix

I dropped this service a note to highlight an error… and they asked me to send them a link to the artist on their own site…. Run away from the incompetent trying to get you to pay for inaccurate data.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. When you contacted us, you mentioned a potential data issue. In order to investigate it properly and ensure we were reviewing the exact profile in question, we asked you to provide a direct link to the artist page on our platform. This helps us avoid confusion between artists with similar names and allows us to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

Requesting a link to the relevant profile is a standard support procedure, not an indication of incompetence. It ensures precision when working with large datasets and multiple artist entries.

We take data accuracy seriously and continuously monitor and improve our systems. If there is ever an issue, we are committed to reviewing it thoroughly and correcting it where necessary.

Not The Data You Need

Honestly the data is vague, the services are poor, the UX is awful, processing is slow, and there's just SO much missing. This isn't a professional resource. I don't even know why they made this.

This is not comparable to Luminate or any legit service. It is concrete in that this is not a professional data service replacement for Luminate. This is a haphazardly put-together app where they are missing major data, and even ask the users to help fill it out like Wikipedia. Really expected some value for $400.

It feels like one of those stock, vibe-coded app. They show greyed out platforms with misleading UX as if that is data that you can gain access to by paying. It in fact, is not, and is just another example of bad UX. The slow loading pages just tell you it's poor development. Stick to the professionally recommended platforms.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for sharing your opinion. We understand that not every platform will meet every user’s expectations. However, it is important to clarify the context behind your reviews.

You requested a refund after purchasing the subscription. As clearly stated in our Terms of Service, we do not issue refunds once a subscription has been activated. This policy is visible prior to purchase and applies equally to all users.

After we declined the refund request in line with our policy, two public reviews were posted — one under your name and another under “RDM.” Given the timing and the content of your prior email, it is reasonable to conclude that both reviews were written following the refund denial.

In your email, you stated that you intended to share the platform with your developer “to take advantage of whatever since I paid for it” and use it “in a way to detract from others ever using this,” adding that the situation “could have been avoided” if we had issued a refund. We believe it is important for readers to understand this context.

We take product criticism seriously. Specific, actionable feedback about datasets, UX, processing speed, or missing functionality is always welcome and helps us improve. Broad claims that the service is “trash” or has “0 functionality for anything professional,” without concrete examples, do not provide a constructive basis for discussion.

A bit dissapointing

Though it offers all kind of information, from the 100 artists and tracks we tried more than 40% was not on Viberate, even though they are well known artists and have lots of plays on spotify and elsewhere. Dutch artists like Maribelle, Maxime & Franklin Brown, Indonesian like Betrand Putra Onsu, and many others.
