After ordering chairs that never arrived I welcomed the update on refunds. However, it’s just another ploy from this awful company who’ve basically stolen peoples money. Multiple emails with Lee promising a refund but still hasn’t happened.

I have now been refunded.

I am still waiting for my refund. Not had any response to my emails dated 23/01/20 and 13/05/20 and Facebook messages requesting refund for table ordered October 2019 that never arrived.

Update on Refund 23/11/20
Within the last week I emailed Victor Verrace as per response from them here, I created a PayPal invoice for the refund and it was very quickly paid. Despite the bad experience I appreciate them rectifying the problem one year on.

No response since January 2020

Paid for 4 chairs in October 2019. Was advised that order would be delivered in time for Christmas. By January started to worry I had been scammed. Read the reviews. Completed the Facebook request for info about refunds and have since written to the company twice following advice on trust pilot. Still no response. I am encouraged that the odd person contributing here is getting a refund. However starting to question the credibility of responses and wether this is another part of a wider scam

Thank you Lee for my full refund. Ordered and paid for chairs Last year, they never arrived and couldn’t get any answers, thought I would never see my money or chairs again. I was contacted on here after I left a poor review and I am delighted to say I have received a full refund. Refunded fully

Although I haven’t received my item, I have since emailed them & have been fully refunded. They could not be more apologetic about what has happened but have been very quick at getting back in contact with me & refunding me fully.
I’ve not been able to add the refund to this comment but it is listed below under most the reviews left.

** A Message For All Customers **

Please contact us at refundsvictorverace@gmail.com with a screenshot of your order, your email address used to place the order and confirm in writing you have not received a refund.

If you know anybody else you is still awaiting a refund please share this information with them!

We have been trying for months to refund customers who are still awaiting a refund however being locked out of our own website for the past 7 months we still have no idea what's going on.

Please take your time to read the brief summary below which explains what happened, the situation we are in and how we are not "scammers". We were simply a start up with very big ideas which end with a very bad deck of cards.

We thought all orders had either been delivered or refunded. However it's been brought to our attention this is not the case. We will now spend however long it takes searching for those who didn't receive their items and didn't receive a refund.

********************************* A small explanation is found below: *******************************

In August last year we teamed up with 4 manufacturers in China to produce a range of furniture items. As with a lot of furniture suppliers like DFS we intended to use a made to order business model hence the 8 week lead time. The idea was the customer orders their products, we manufacturer them and have them sent directly to the customer.

We rented a warehouse in Doncaster and set up accounts with Parcel Force to deliver the items. We went through a broker called Despatchbay.com.

After placing a few adverts on Facebook orders flooded in and our suppliers assured us they could keep up with the demand.  As with any start up we were extremely excited to be off the ground so quickly.

However come October our suppliers were getting further and further behind which is when we decided to only take orders on very specific ranges. We noticed that the delivery times were not going to be met which is when we started sending mass emails to customers.

In the month of October refunded over £180,000 in orders as people became impatient and others were becoming worried we were a scam. We willingly handed back the money as we were in fact not a scam but a struggling start up. (something we can of course prove). If we had any bad intentions we would not of started heavily refunding customers.

As all the furniture items started arriving we used parcel force to fulfill most orders (98%). At this point we was no longer accepting any new orders and was focused solely on fulfilling current orders.

We started seeing instagram posts of people with their items, we even had one featured at Grand Designs. It was at this point we thought things were finally turning around.

However we was very very wrong...

It was around this time (early november) that people started to believe we were a scam. Groups started being set up and fake accounts who were messaging all our customers telling them to issue a chargebacks with the bank. They were purposely trying to sabotage us and to this date we are still unclear why. However they started to make those still waiting second guess our legitimacy.

What pursued after was complete chaos, we had hundreds and hundreds of chargebacks flooding in as we worked from 4am to 9pm (again something we can prove) to send out items. We were shipping out on average 400+ parcels a day (We have the thousands of receipts to prove this).

Then towards the end of November at which point over 40to 50% of all orders had been delivered and a vast number refunded (again something we can prove). Parcel force didn't turn up for our usual collection (7am with 2 7.5 tonne wagons).

I personally got through to the depot and they told me they would no longer be working with us. They explained the parcels were far too large and heavy and stated they were running at a loss due to us using despatch bay. (Even though our items fell within their max size limits) I pleaded and pleaded with them to collect the current orders booked in however they refused. (Feel free to ring Parcel Force as they can't deny this).

We had over 700 parcels alone that day which were already labelled up and paid for. The next issue was DPD would only allow us to send parcels up to 2.25CBM which meant we had to manually book in each order with Myhermes.

Due to the 700 orders being cancelled and the tracking not working this only helped fuel people's concerns. Which resulted in more bad feedback and more chargebacks.

A few days later our selling platform Shopify decided to limit our account due to the large number of chargebacks. In doing so they also stopped allowing access to the platform which means we can no longer see customers orders, reply to chargebacks, issue refunds etc. I begged them to at least allow myself access to see customers orders. I explained without this it's impossible to send and fulfil any outstanding orders. At this stage all the stock had arrived, we had a warehouse bursting at the seams with stock but was unable to send any of it.

I sent 6 further emails begging Shopify for the information to no avail.

To this date this is still the situation we're in.

We've refunded every order we can find, we haven’t taken a penny from the business since October when issues started arising.

We still have no way of telling who's been refunded, who's had their items delivered and we can't even reply to chargebacks.

We know there have been thousands of people who have received their items and got their money back due to this. It was being encouraged massively on social media to open chargebacks and we noticed the comments of many people say they'd managed to get a refund and keep their items.

I can completely understand how this looks like a scam. Believe me I am beyond frustrated how things turned out.

However all I can do as this stage is try to find those who have not received their items or been refunded. So please, if you have not received a refund or your items then let me know.

I can only beg you not to claim a refund if you have already received one.

Kind Regards
Victor Verace

We look forward to finally resolving those who are still left in the dark.

Zero Stars!

I wish there was an option for zero stars. This is a complete scam, purchased a rattan swing chair. It seems that after the order was paid for, we have had endless trouble trying to contact the company as to when the order would be delivered. How disgraceful!

Organised deception and tapping money sneakily

I placed the above order on 19/10/2019 and attempted to get in touch with you multiple times. I am ashamed of and regretful of the dealing that I had made with you. You people do not seem to have the compunction of having deceived someone. If you had any sense of integrity you would have attempted to delver the order. How can you deceive customers like this, go to hell and put your life to end rather than attempting to snatch money from innocent customers who make money out of toiling and moiling through the day. I made multiple emails to you in a gentle manner but now I am at the end of my tether. You guys are so cunning and shrewd that you do not even respond to the emails as if you are not getting any messages that the customers like me send to you. I wonder how long you could survive by snatching money from customers like me. Please attempt to either refund the money or send down the product that I ordered with you.

So basically, all the stock had arrived yet we had no information on where to send it. We couldn't refund any orders as we didn't have access and we couldn't send the items as PARCEL Force were no long collection from us.

We've refunded every order we can find, we haven’t taken a penny from the business since October when issues started arising.

We still have no way of telling who's been refunded, who's had their items delivered and we can't even reply to chargebacks. So it's not "us" that's saying your items delivered.

We know there have been thousands of people who have received their items and got their money back due to this.

Anyhow, that was what happened in summary. We weren't and have never been a scam. We simply failed and failed miserably.

We look forward to finally resolving those who are still left in the dark.

Problems resolved

Have now received a refund for items that I didn’t receive last year. If you have items that never made it to you, do get in touch. Lee was very helpful and sorted out our refund

Good Morning

We have been trying for months to refund customers who are still awaiting a refund.

Please contact us at refundsvictorverace@gmail.com with a screenshot of your order and proof you have not been refunded. A small explanation is found below:

In August last year we teamed up with 4 manufacturers in China to produce a range of furniture items. As with a lot of furniture suppliers like Dfs we intended to use a made to order business model hence the 8 week lead time.

After placing a few adverts on Facebook orders flooded in and our suppliers assured us they could keep up with the demand.

However come October our suppliers were getting further and further behind which is when we decided to only take orders on very specific ranges.

In the month of October we also refunded over £180,000 in orders as people become impatient and others were becoming worried we were a scam. We willingly handed back the money as we were in fact not a scam but a struggling start up. (something we can of course prove).

As all the furniture items started arriving we used parcel force to fulfill most orders. At this point we was no longer accepting any new orders and was focused solely on fulfilling current orders. It was around this time (early november) that people started to believe we were a scam. Groups started to be set up and fake accounts who were messaging all our customers telling them to issue a chargebacks with the bank.

What pursued after was complete chaos, we had hundreds and hundreds of chargebacks flooding in as we worked from 4am to 9pm (again something we can prove) to send out items.

Then towards the end of November at which point over 40% of all orders had been delivered (again something we can prove) parcel force didn't turn up for our usual collection (7am with 2 7.5 tonne wagons).

I personally got through to the depot and they told me they would no longer be working with us. They explained the parcels where far too large and heavy and stated they were running at a loss due to us using dispatch bay. Even though our items fell within their max size limits. We had over 700 parcels alone that day which were already labelled up and paid for.

A few days later our selling platform Shopify decided to limit our account due to the large number of chargebacks. In doing so they also stopped allowing access to the platform which means we can no longer see customers orders, reply to chargebacks, issue refunds etc.

Clearly a company/who saw a quick buck…

Clearly a company/who saw a quick buck and bailed. As with all the other reviews this company is not to be trusted. I ordered a chair with a throw in March 2019. I was one of the lucky ones and received the chair in August after many emails and delays. The throw was missing and I emailed at least 10 times about it. I had a couple of responses at the beginning but they contradicted each other (first said sorry we forgot, second said they had reports of things being lost in the post and would send another ASAP). Then they just stopped responding.
I hope there has been some repercussions for this company as they clearly bought 20 chairs and then scammed people after some lucky people received them.

OUTRAGEOUS SCAMMING COMPANY - DO NOT PURCHASE

UPDATE: After sending numerous emails and completing an online form so I can get refunded ... there has still been no response from this company. Seems this is the only platform from which I may get a reply! —END OF UPDATE

Same experience as all others. I placed an order in October 2019 and in November received an email stating that my order is currently being manufactured. Nada! No reply to numerous emails. Eventually found a sorry looking announcement on their Facebook page stating they had distribution issues and offered refunds (via form completion or email). Again Nada! I looked him up via Companies House, and the actual trading name for this company is LOOSE MONEY LTD. A definite SCAM and surprised that Companies House would allow anyone to register such a company name and not be suspicious. Victor Verace has now disappeared.

NEVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS…

NEVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Ordered 8 x chairs in September and to this day still never had them nor had a response or apology from them. I had to in the end go to my credit card company to get the money back.
Even then apparently they disputed my dispute and said they’d delivered the chairs! Total con! BEWARE!

AVOID THIS WEBSITE

I would give this company 0 stars. I ordered a chair back in October and still this has not come. The last correspondence I he was in December via email apologising for my wait and it’d be no more than 3 weeks. Over 3 months later and still. I thing. Do not order from this website!
