Just don't like the place at all, been publicised as Portuguese, its not Italian neither, I dont agree with concept and confusion between 2 different countries and tests. It is also overly priced.
Checked closing time on website, it says 2pm, travelled a long way to restaurant to be faced with a man saying they are closed, the door was open and I arrived at 1.20pm. They stopped serving food he says. I think this is not the way to respond to customers, if the website say closed at 2pm this should be the time it closes and stop serving food. The closing time should be the time people can come to restaurant to be seated and served.
This is just wrong.

Love this place. Someone wrote about being pricey but in my mind you get what you pay for and the food is outstanding. I went recently with some friends after not going for a while and I can honestly say that it improves with time! I enjoyed it so much that I booked for my wife and mum just a few days later. I come from a Sicilian family and my dad was a great chef. My mum too for that matter. Although this is a Portuguese restaurant they seriously give the Italians a run for their money. I love lots of different types of food and I find that they have a great range on the menu. I haven't tried much but from what I saw and tasted from the other orders in the table it all looked lovely. The seafood Pizza is my favourite at the moment.
On another note it's a great little restaurant, run by what seems to be a very nice family who care deeply about good food and customer service.
I couldn't recommend Virgilio's more highly! I'm a fan (can you tell!?).
