Too many lowballers on this platform

Too many lowballers on this platform. The workload is heavy, but the pay doesn’t match. VirtualStaff.ph should set a minimum rate of $5/hr instead of the $2/hr they currently advertise

Hi Mak,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and we understand your concerns regarding compensation on the platform.

But we'd like to clarify that this issue may be misdirected.

VirtualStaff.ph does not set or control the salary offers of clients. As a platform, we provide a space where both clients and talents can freely agree on terms that work best for them.

That said, we do actively discourage low offers and have implemented a minimum rate threshold of $2/hour to prevent extreme underpricing on the platform.

On the other end, It's also important to highlight that talents such as you are never obligated to accept any offer.

Every roles and offer sent by clients clearly outlines the compensation and workload upfront, allowing talents to make informed decisions based on their own expectations and standards.

Virtualstaff made it easy to expand my team!

Virtualstaff made it easy to expand my team and business by adding a remote business processing assistant. I was offered about 20 candidates, was able to easily interact even seeing videos. I hired easily, and the ongoing process is smooth. I will be adding additional team members.

Impossible to cancel; predatory billing practices.

Beware of this company’s subscription model. Despite multiple attempts to cancel via their email-only support system, I have received zero response, and the recurring charges continue. To make matters worse, they use intimidating contract language to threaten customers with "fraud" if they attempt to dispute these unauthorized charges through their bank. It is clear they prioritize taking your money over providing any actual service or support. Avoid at all costs.

Hi David,

We take allegations like this seriously, but your claims do not reflect how our platform operates.

First, we are not an email-only support company. In addition to our support email (support@virtualstaff.ph), we provide live chat support directly inside the user dashboard for all active members. Many customers resolve billing or cancellation questions through chat in real time.

Second, there is no such thing as an “unauthorized charge” in this scenario. Our subscription model is clearly presented during checkout. When you purchase a monthly plan, you are enrolling in an automatically renewing subscription. Renewals occur in accordance with the terms agreed to at the time of purchase.

Cancellation is also not restricted to email. You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from your dashboard in just a few clicks. We even have a public step-by-step guide explaining the process here: https://support.virtualstaff.ph/how-to-cancel-your-virtualstaff-seat-plan

Relying strictly on email-only cancellation workflows would not be considered best practice in modern SaaS platforms. That’s exactly why we provide self-serve cancellation inside the dashboard and live chat support.

Regarding the mention of “fraud” language: when a customer initiates a bank dispute after knowingly purchasing and using a subscription, financial institutions categorize that as a potential friendly fraud case. This is standard industry terminology used in payment processing, not intimidation. We are fully transparent about this process.

If you genuinely attempted cancellation and ran into difficulty, we are more than willing to review your case and resolve it fairly — including reviewing any refund eligibility. Please contact us directly at support@virtualstaff.ph or use the live chat in your dashboard so we can investigate properly.

We stand by our billing transparency and support structure, and we remain happy to assist any customer who reaches out through the appropriate channels.

Zero Support Issues Only Addressed After Public Complaint on Facebook

My VA was unable to receive payment due to what appeared to be ongoing system issues. Both my VA and I contacted support multiple times through the available email and support channels, but we did not receive any acknowledgment, update, or resolution during that period. The only response came after the issue was shared publicly on their Facebook review page. The CEO himself replied approximately six weeks later. Prior to the public post, we experienced complete silence. I also noticed there is no visible real-time customer support structure — no phone support or live chat, only email communication. It's like only 1 person works in this platform - the founder himself. Despite the company stating on their replies on their Trustpilot negative reviews that they have over 1 million workers and indicating up to 10,000 employees on LinkedIn, my experience did not reflect the level of support I would expect from an organization of that scale. I hope the company improves its responsiveness and support processes so that clients and workers can receive help without needing to raise concerns publicly.

UPDATE:

Your response crossed a serious line.

As an Australian client, I did not consent to you publishing my full name, transaction history, or my VA’s full legal name. Publicly disclosing personal and financial information may breach the PRIVACY ACT 1988 and also violates Trustpilot rules on sharing private data. A company cannot respond to criticism by exposing customer information.

Please remove or redact the personal details immediately.

If not addressed, I will escalate this to OFFICE OF THE AUSTRALIAN INFORMATION COMMISSIONER and through Trustpilot’s formal reporting channels.

As a Filipino VA, I was advertised by VirtualStaff.ph at $2.50/hour on their website— and it felt dehumanizing

I used VirtualStaff.ph as a Filipino virtual assistant and left seriously concerned. From the start, Filipino VAs are marketed at $2.50/hour. That rate doesn’t just set pay — it sets expectations. Clients come in assuming unlimited availability, no boundaries, and zero room for negotiation. At $2.50/hour, professionalism and dignity disappear. This isn’t opportunity; it’s the normalization of exploitation dressed up as outsourcing. When problems happen — payment delays, account issues, platform errors — support for VAs is practically nonexistent. Emails go unanswered, there’s no clear escalation, and the VA carries all the risk while the platform carries none. What alarmed me most was discovering that after I deleted my account, my profile was still publicly visible on Google search results. Information I believed was removed remained accessible. For a platform handling worker identities and personal data, this is unacceptable. Deleting an account should mean full removal, period. If you care about your professional reputation, your personal data, and fair compensation, think very carefully before signing up. Being labeled at $2.50/hour tells you exactly how little protection and respect you should expect. I left — and I regret ever joining.

We take feedback seriously and are always open to fair, honest criticism from real clients and staff.

However, we have no record of this reviewer as an active worker on our platform, and the claims made here do not reflect how VirtualStaff.ph operates today.

We believe this review is connected to an individual who previously contacted us regarding the removal of an image. That image was removed immediately from our website.

Unfortunately, Google controls its own indexing process, and removal from search results can take time, something we clearly explained.

Instead of allowing that process to complete, this person has chosen to post an anonymous and misleading review containing broad accusations presented as fact, without supporting evidence.

We stand behind our system, our support team, and the thousands of businesses and professionals who successfully work with us every day.

If you are a genuine client or worker with concerns, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can address them properly. We are always willing to resolve real issues transparently and fairly.

Easy VA platform!

Easy VA platform!

I was looking for a VA platform last year and was having a hard time landing a gig or a job. I sent several applications using other VA platforms but only got interviews with them. However, with VS, I got interviews and a client, finally! The experience was super easy. I've been on the platform for over 6 months now, and I can say not hiccups or issues so far.

Amazed how easy VirtualStaff Seats make building a support team

I was a little skeptical at first. The promise of cutting our payroll by 75% without cutting staff quality seemed almost too good to be true.

However, I take back that skepticism.

VirtualStaff Seats have really delivered on the promise. We now have 22 really great people working with us in various support and back office roles... and we are saving 75% on what we would have been paying locally.

We got our first VirtualStaff Seat back in May 2025, and through the year we've been steadily adding more staff one seat at a time.

The 22 VirtualStaff Seats we have, literally are saving us probably $80,000/month or more on what we would have been paying with local employees.

The part I like best is the staff quality is really great, and the process is easy. I've already recommended VirtualStaff.ph and VirtualStaff Seats to various people.

The Easiest Way We’ve Ever Built a Back-Office Team

VirtualStaff Seats have made it incredibly easy for us to build our back-office team. We’re now running 8 Seats, with 8 genuinely solid full-time support staff who show up, work our hours, and stay plugged into our workflow every day.

The whole process has been simple and predictable. The quality of staff we’ve been supplied with has exceeded expectations, and the cost savings have made a real impact on our margins.

I’ve already recommended VirtualStaff.ph to a couple of friends who run service businesses. If you need reliable support staff without the payroll headache, this is absolutely worth trying.
