Vision2Learn online courses - fantastic.
I enrolled onto an online Principles of Cyber Security level 2 course, after being accepted for funding, and I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was to be completed over a 10 week period, all online and in my own time, provided I put in about 10 hours a week. I was registered with a college, allocated an online tutor (she was called Carla Helbert), for any help or extra information during my course, and lots of information provided to help me progress through each unit. I have just this day completed the course a few weeks ahead of time, and the feedback and tips etc throughout the course have helped me to do so. I highly recommend to anyone thinking of learning a new skill or wanting to improve their knowledge in skills, to apply to Vision2learn and get cracking at it.

A great overall experience
Tutor was helpful. Course materials were easy to understand. Main problem was that, when it comes to mailing lists, my Tutor couldn't realise that the letters were the way they were because of my formatting preferences. They definitely give more than enough time, given that I took weeks off and I am seriously bad at prioritisation.

Very satisfying learning
I did two levels of Cyber Security with V2L and it I really get some knowledge. It was a free course but you still had to learn and do the assessment to pass, which is great - it makes you really want to learn. Also tutors (Ian Washbourn & Carla Helbert) are very helpful, every time I had a question they get back to me quickly with answer I was satisfied. I recommend it to everyone who wants to get some basic knowledge in some field. Also you are getting a certificate so you are feeling you achieved something :)

Good course. Regular feedback from tutor. It’s probably over a year since I completed it and still haven’t received certificate and I continue to chase this regularly.

I believe we did last exchange emails in September and November to which I replied and said if you had not recieved your certificate by the 2nd of November which was 16 weeks after the course was completed to contact the college you were placed with and provided you with their contact details (email and phone number)
We thank you for your feedback, certificates are sent from the College or Training Provider you were placed and unfortunately in some instances it can take longer than we would like. However it is their responsibility to send your certificate to you.

Great course and tutor interaction… no certificate
Great course and tutor interaction however, trying to get your certificate from this company is a waste of time. Numerous times I rang to find out where it was just to be fobbed off. Still no certificate. I won’t be wasting my time completing anymore courses with this company.
Since writing this review I was contacted by glen at vision2learn and finally have an e-certificate from LLC.

Not suitable for all neurodiverse people.
I liked I could do it at my own pace, and I felt like I gained knowledge or at least had it reinforced.
I'm still awaiting a phone call back from their learning support team as the format of the learning resources where incredibly unfriendly to my ADHD mind. I asked for a stripped back version a couple of times, and it fell on deaf ears. Instead of doing 'proper' learning, I resorted to underhanded ADHD 'cheats' in order to finish the work in time and to the standard required, which left me feeling completely disengaged and resentful in completing a course I was looking forward to engaging with.

Easy sign up process and helpful instructors
Easy sign up process and helpful website. Easy to access and follow learning materials and assessments. Really helpful and constructive instructors who reply to messages and queries quickly. There's a guideline for assessment deadline dates, but I never felt pushed to hit them if I was a little behind on submitting. Great feedback also on assessments.

4 months later I’m STILL waiting for an official certificate/ authentication of my course.
This course itself was great, I have a great deal of knowledge to take with me and the handbook was a great guide! The course does need an update as some figures/ facts are no longer accurate.
I am only giving a 2 star review as I was assigned to Doncaster university and am very disappointed with the time frame of things and that I have been waiting since September for authentication of my course.
I completed this course in September. My tutor disappeared towards the end and a month later a new person informed me in October that my work had only just been marked and passed and that I would receive my certificate of authentication before Christmas. It’s now February and I am still begging for a certificate/ official proof of the work I have put into this course. I am very disappointed with how long it is STILL taking for me to receive even a digital document authenticating my course, I have not been able to use this course at all for work as I have no proof of it.

Great learning experience with V2L
I recently completed a level 2 online study course with V2L. Being able to fit studying around my working schedule was great. I could study for just one hour for for a whole day, whatever suited me. The course materials were easy to follow and deadlines for submitting each assessment were made clear. My tutor was quick at providing feedback on my work which was both encouraging and informative. I would recommend online courses to anyone who has a busy lifestyle, or anyone who does not have access to/or cannot physically attend courses in their area.
