I have been shopping at Vitaglo.com for over 15 years, and even though we’ve never met in person, they feel like family. I realized recently that they’ve received some negative feedback, and while everyone’s experience is valid, I felt it was time to share my own perspective.
I originally started buying from them because they offer a huge selection of supplement brands at what is consistently the lowest prices online. However, what truly won my loyalty happened many years ago. A friend of mine living overseas was battling cancer and urgently needed supplements he couldn't find locally. I was flying out to visit him in just five days. I placed an order with Vitaglo and left a note explaining the situation. Despite the distance between the East and West coasts, they rushed the package to me just in time for my flight. That kind gesture showed me they don’t just see people as "orders"—they actually care.
Have I ever had an issue? Maybe two or three times in 15 years. Occasionally, an item is out of stock and placed on backorder, but I’ve always received it eventually. Sometimes they might substitute a brand if one is unavailable. I even remember a time when Mike (I guess he is the owner) called me personally about a flavor selection. He was clearly busy and made a quick executive decision on the phone, but I didn't find it rude; I appreciated that he took the time to check in at all.
My most recent order was placed on Sunday, April 19. My friend was traveling to Asia soon, so I told Mike I needed it by the 28th. Not only did the main order arrive, but the backordered items arrived as well on April 27th. Once again, they didn’t let me down. Between the great service, the history of reliability, and the free shipping on orders over $100, I’ll definitely keep shopping here. I highly recommend Vitaglo.
ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…
ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I placed an order 11 days ago, but I had not received any shipping info. or an update on my order. I called and got THE RUDEST man I've ever encountered. I offered to give him my order number to try to help him and he cut me off and told me to be quiet!!!!!!!!! When he said he had 2 of the 17 items and asked if I wanted those 2 items sent out, I said no. From there, he hung up on me, not allowing me to ask about an approx. date for the other items to be in stock. I called back and he hung up on me again!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER, order from this company again!!!! I do not know HOW they stay in business!!!!
Poor customer service
Made an order. Waited 5-6 days with no response. Contacted them via phone to find out any info. Owner answered said they didn't have it. Never sent a follow up email to let me know that. Then proceeds to hang up on me. Do not buy from this business. Poorly ran and terrible customer service!

I don't know how this company stays in business. Their customer service has always been terrible, with no response for any issue. The last time I ordered from them, they sent a large container of glutamine and the lid was broken in half. Tried contacting by email, no response. Called the phone number, no answer or response. I'm actually going to contact the attorney general of the state they operate in
They sent expired product & won't replace/refund
I ordered several tubes of toothpaste and was delivered product that is 1 - 2 years expired. Called them up, asking for a replacement or refund. They wouldn't do either and eventually yelled at me for being an ungrateful customer.
Long wait for the product, customer service sucks.
Order placed 11/28/23, received 1/8/24. Order confirmed, but no reason given for the delay in shipping. Very poor communication. They are not clear re: how to contact them for follow up. On 12/28/23 Mike responded to my email, saying he would get back to me the next day. I never heard from him again. These people are a joke.

Horrible customer service
I placed an order for vitamins on June 7th. I called today, June 21st, and spoke to a person named mike. I asked Mike about my order since I had had no communication from the company. Mike told me that he would call me right back and he had to look into it. More than half an hour later I decided to call back, and Mike answered. Mike proceeded to tell me that he was canceling the order because he told me he would call me back and that I called back too soon and could not wait for his call back. I suggested to him that half an hour wasn't long enough and he said no and repeated that he was canceling the order. When I asked him for a specific reason why he was ordering the cancellation, he told me just because I couldn't wait. Needless to say that there was no communication whatsoever for the past two weeks from when I initially made the order. The customer service I received was horrible and I am not too sure who Mike is, but Mike is certainly a detriment and not a person who should be doing customer service nor selling anything to the general public. I would give this company negative stars if it was possible.
Terrible experience
I placed an order with Vitaglo.com (Aka Discount Natural Foods. Received an order confirmation promptly. Over 3 weeks later, no updates at all. Email requests for order status went unanswered. Called the “customer service” number and asked for order status. I was asked for my zip code. When I went to explain the reason for my call, the person barked “stop talking”. I told him to “be nice” and he hung up the phone. I called back and asked why he barked at me and he told me he hates it when people keep talking when he is looking up orders. Not the person you want to assist you.
Anyway they never had the item in stock but I never got any updates stating that. The order was then cancelled. When I asked about the lack of communication, I was told “don’t know.

ZERO STARS!!
ZERO STARS!!! I ordered 3 Vega Premium Protein Powder 4 lbs. I received 7 of the smaller containers. The weight does come out to a little over the 12 lbs. that I ordered. However, I got 2 of the Chocolate, 2 of the Mocha, and 3 of the Vanilla. That means that I did not get to choose the flavor of the 3rd container. Now I have 7 containers to store instead of 3 which I ordered. I called VitaGlo (a division of Discount Natural Foods) customer service and someone answered that was short with me, sounded stressed and annoyed that I called. While I was trying to figure out the math to what he was explaining to me, he was frustrated and impatient. I finally told him that he was not being very nice to me. He replied "Don't call me names!" I did not call him a name but I was thinking it. He was rude, impatient, and annoyed with my call. I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me. Worst customer service representative ever! I wish I had read the hundreds of negative reviews about this business before I purchased from them. In fairness to me when you look for VitaGlo reviews, you may not get the correct reviews as they are a division of Discount Natural Foods. The BBB does not list as VitaGlo but Discount Natural Foods. Hopefully, this will save someone else from purchasing from this company.
One star is too generous, but no negative star choices!
Should have read the HUNDREDS of negative reviews on VITAGLO before I bought. Most were 1 star because you couldn't choose NEGATIVE stars.
Their site showed BWC Maximum Face Cream as ORGANIC. Wow, I thought, I'll buy from them this time to get organic. Came non-organic and different than my usual jar.
Also ordered 2 standardized herbs. Nature's Way black cohosh came. The other was switched to Solaray ROOT and was not standardized.
I first called about the cream; on the phone, the man who answered gave new meaning to the term "rude." He said the UPC was the same, so the maker must have changed it!
They emailed me and asked me to call about my order; same rude reception and he said I had to call back to speak to a woman who handled the product.
When I did, I told the man about the switch to not standardized Solaray; he said Nature's Way discontinued what I ordered. He never emailed to tell me that - I could have looked elsewhere.
He put me through to the woman I was to get help from; I would have thought it could not be possible that 2 at the same company could be so rude, but I was wrong.
And all those reviews that said the same thing, WERE CORRECT. Go somewhere else.
LEFT IN THE DARK!
I ordered some products on March 4, by March 10 the products still had not shipped. I emailed this company regarding the status of the order, I received no response. Then I emailed them telling them to cancel my order, I received no response. Then I emailed them through my PayPal app. I let them know to cancel the order and that I would dispute the transaction if they try to proceed, I still received no response. I called them today March 17, a man answered the phone. He asked for my ZIP Code, he said oh yeah I got your email your order has been canceled. Click, he hung up. Some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced. They don’t communicate and it seems they don’t care about their customers. I would not recommend this site at all, especially if you don’t want to be left in the dark.

This is the Worst company I have ever ordered from. I have never been treated or talked to so poorly. Before hanging up I told the owner the way they handled My order (with multiple mistakes) was unprofessional and wrong and he said “well lady you got what you paid for, shop somewhere else next time”.

Mike was the dolt that i had the misfortune of answering my call.he apparently didn't like that I asked where my order was and hung up on me several times. Called me a liar because I was trying to reconcile why my bank charged me for the order that never got delivered.he refused to put it in writing that the order was canceled so I could bring it back to my bank.
I emailed them two weeks ago, no reply. Never received any word that my order was canceled.
BBB and the New York attorney general needs to be apprised that this business should be shut down
Kind inquiry about "best by" date turned into insults and criticism by "owner"
I contacted Vitaglo on June 8, 2020 about a product with "best by" date that was strangely a year earlier than products previously purchased over six months ago from other suppliers. I was insulted,ridiculed,and hung up on twice simply asking why that was the case. Man who answered said he was the "owner" and I could not fire him. I was not even upset nor was there one mention of any threat. I never expected the rude treatment. I like a deal--but I have to say that I value trust over saving a buck--so that is likely my last order. No one would ever believe the insults in a matter of minutes. Rudest business owner I have ever encountered. What other corners are being cut? Do not expect Vitaglo to care one bit about you as a customer.

The worst Internet company I ever dealt with. I placed an order then never got it. IF I DIDNT CHECK UP ON THE ORDER A MONTH LATER I WOULD HAVE PAID FOR MANY ITEMS AND NEVER GOT ANY. They back ordered many items even though I demanded they NOT BACK ORDER ANYTHING...EVER. So they decided to charge me for the whole order and never sent me many products. I called them...they are afraid to talk to angry customers. Typical for new York beanie baby morons. They ignored my emails. I finally sicked the attorney general on them and got about half my money back. If I had the energy I'd take them to court and really get them back. Still might. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE LOWLIFES. Low prices most times equals lower quality service or worse.
The product I received was completely defective and I was treated horribly
The product I received was completely melted and in horrible condition. Their website provided assurance that if I received defective products they would be replaced. I called today was connected with a man who was incredibly rude and short. He advised that this was not something they would help me out with. I then asked for someone else who could help me and he said he was the owner, have a good day, and then hung up on me. I have been repeatedly making $100+ orders from this company. I couldn't believe how rude and dismissing this guy was. The worst customer service I've ever received. I'll never do business with them again. As a read through the list of complaints below, I don't doubt anyone of them. Also, I just looked up on the Better Business Bureau's website and found the firm has received 41 complaints, and has failed to respond to 39 of them.
I think this speaks for itself - what a truly horrible company to work with. Save your money and do business with companies that treat their customers well and stand behind their product.
