Impossible to speak to someone when we just want to pay and use internet!

We've got a contract last September for internet/ landline. Never got the bill. We don't have a mobile vodafone and have to call the 800 number for support. However, the call doesn't give any option to sort the situation, nor to speak to someone. The store we went to ( is 'famous for not instructing properly Centro comm. Arezzo, where there is Decathlon), but nobody does anything to fix this. At a point the internet was cut and, being impossible to speak through phone, we went to another store, where the arrears were paid and in theory they would re-establish connection and make sure we are billed. But internet hasn't been back and again we have no way to speak to someone. Really awful customer service, avoid them at any cost.

Bad cutomer service

Bad customer service. The app has not all functionalities and it is not clear. Tobi, the assistant, doesn't know how to help and you finish in a loop where you do not resolve the problem and the conversation or the phone call ends. The chat with Tobi is blocking.
Really awful service and experience.
Overall in my neighbourhood the net doesn't work we have few lines on the phone and i have always troubles, unbelievable. How can it be a multinational compnay?

I am having problem with a router and…

I am having problem with a router and 5G connection. I have been in their Local shop but they won't help. I am trying to get touch with support but their phone numbers are not working. +39 349 2000190, +39 348 2002323.

Also i am not able to find any mail adress and the chat bot is ignoring me. I paid already 200€ and the connection is bad. I hope somebody from vodafone will help me with this issue. Thx

Thieves plain and simple.

Thieves plain and simple.

No recourse to address issues for 2x travel SIMs once outside Italy (for an EU wide SIM). Paid for two months up front, service cut off early. Vodafone staff hung up when trying to address data / service issues earlier, terrible terrible terrible.

Appalling service

My account number is 7078620882

I’ve now spoken to 10 people in Vodafone over the last two days and not one has been able to address my issue. I had to speak to City Fibre to have the revised upgrade visit pulled forward to 25 March 24 and yet Vodafone keep messaging me to advise it’s 7th May 24. I’ve confirmed with City Fibre again today that the visit will be 25 April but Vodafone keep advising via agents and messenger that it’s 7th May. Meanwhile the fault on my broadband persist which has left me without heating, hot water (due to Hive needing a WiFi connection).

Im 63 years old and have suffered from cancer. I need WiFi for my work and this is stressing me out.

I was advised by a Vodafone manager that city fibre had pulled the copper wires which city fibre has categorically denied. They advised me to contact Vodafone to report the fault on my existing Vodafone broadband and have them register a fault.

This is urgent urgent urgent

Not surprised this company has 1 star

I have no words to describe what a mess this company is. If you just moved to Italy, stay away from this company, you have so many options. Vodafone always comes up with different charges that you have no clue about, taking forever to fix your problems (i once stayed without internet for a week until they came), and you can barely find their customer service available.

Bad experience

I have used Vodafone for my mobile and Internet at home since 2020. The internet was sold as 100MB/sec, it delivered at 3MB/sec. I tried to upgrade to FTTH yet they could not do it. I cancelled the line in 2022, ye they are still charging me, I have spoken to them 7 times to cancel and sent 6 PEC emails, still they charge me. They are wholly unprofessional and not worth dealing with. They essentially steal your money.

If they only care....

If I could rate lower, I would.

No stability.
Bad connection.
Slow internet.
Employees LOVE to hide behind the big concern.
Nobody can do anything.

It really feels like a scam.
It should be forbidden.
Big disappointment.
So much time and energy waisted.
Really frustrating.

It is so easy to make small improvements with a big impact.
If they only care....

If you are moving to Italy and need to…

If you are moving to Italy and need to use an internet provider I would advise not using Vodafone Italy. Everything is okay until you decide to terminate the contract and they will make it as hard as possible to do this. Then when you finally end the contract you will face heavy penalties and their customer service will say you don't owe anything only to find out two years later that they have their creditors on you for an amount you weren't informed about. Don't think that they have the same customer service as the UK. Really poor experience and will never use them again.

VODAFONE ITALY SCAM, BE CAREFUL

I bought a plan just outside Vatican City for €20, which I was not too sure about. Promised 1 month of data 50GB and 200 minutes. 1 day later it stopped working completely — without any warning. I also called the 414 number and it said the account didn’t have enough credit.

I went back to where I bought it and NO HELP WHATSOEVER.

VODAFONE ITALY IS JUST A SCAM, DON'T CONTRACT THE SERVICE!

Scam, forced recharge

We bought a plan just outside Vatican City for €30, which I was not too sure about. Promised 1 month of data 50GB and 200 minutes. 2 days later it stopped working completely — without any warning. We called the 414 number and it said the account didn’t have enough credit.

Went to another Vodafone at Roma Termini, they said their colleague might have “made a mistake” and that there was only 10€ in credit but it required €15 to work. So we got scammed €20? The guy said he can’t fix the “mistake”, but we can pay an extra €5 to make the plan “work” again. We did it because it seemed cheaper to do so and day 2 now, it still seems to be working.

Please don’t get a Vodafone SIM. Or if you do, I highly suggest recording the transaction for future disputes and putting all transactions on credit card.

Disgusting

This company is abhorrent, scummy and arrogant.
1. They tried to scam me by making me sign a contract that had a minimum duration of 24 months. They assured me it would cost nothing to terminate the contract. Luckily I did not sign as I would have to pay 5 Euro "activation fee" per month until the 24 months are over (5*24=120 Euros) the termination of the contract.
2. They charge an activation fee of 50 Euros every time you change your plan. Again "activtion fee"
3. The ""unlimited"" Data is in fact not unlimited. They take the freedom to define unlimited as 5 times the average data used by customers with this plan.
4. When you make certiain plans, they sign you up for "Vodafone Club". There you have the privilege to pay 3 Euro for a firewall that you never wanted or heard of until the first bill comes.

Do not ever sign any contract with this company. And if you have to, ask a lawyer to confirm it. I do not get why the employees straight up lie about hidden fees and services. They are for sure not paid enough for that.

I hope this company loses everything.

Vodafone Termini Rome horrible…

Vodafone at Termini in Rome has the rudest and most unhelpful staff. They sold me a defective SIM card and when I asked them to help me, they first ignored me and then chased me out of the store. I have no words. As an elderly person the treatment I received from them was horrific..

Don't use Vodafone in Italy if you don't speak Italian

In September 2023, we purchased a vodafone SIM card in Bolzano, Italy. We wanted a local Italian phone number for ONE month. This SIM card did NOT work, so went back to same store the same day and had to sign up for NEW SIM card with the assurance that the charge for the NON-WORKING SIM would be reversed. THE CHARGE WAS NOT REVERSED. Secondly, even though we explained that our use for Vodafone Sim would be for ONLY ONE MONTH, after returning home and checking credit card statement, Vodafone is now charing us for another month of usage. Vodafone.it web site does NOT have an English translation, so I am unable to contact Vodafone or unable to process a request to stop charges. Had to file a dispute with credit card company to attempt to get recurring charges to stop. We've had nothing but problems with Vodafone in Italy. If you don't speak Italian, don't use Vodafone Italy.

Company is a legalized SCAM

This company is nothing but a legal scam to target tourists into thinking it is a ligitimate cellular phone company provider. Purchased what was supposed a sim card for 120 GB for 65 euros at the airport in Rome on arrival. Was not able to use the cell phone or text messaging. Many dead spots. Data quit working at 484 mb. Even though they are selling to tourists not from Italy there is no way to contact customer service in any other language other than Italian. My wife purchased thought Wind, a seemingly legitimate company 2 weeks prior and had Zero issues. I will be returning to Italy on a longer term basis in in near future and will look for a different provider and advise everyone I can to not deal with scam company
