From the beginning of the purchase of my car, both my son and myself were liaising with Alex Bartlett. He come across as an exceptional human being and a cleaver sales person. His attitude and behaviour towards the customers were exceptionally high and trustworthy. within a short space of time, were able to trust him fully and went ahead with our purchase. He is really an outstanding asset to your company and understand the customers needs completely. We will have no hesitation to recommend him for any customers looking to purchase a car form his company. He is an excellent sales man and also, a real human being who treats the customers with utmost care and love.

We recently purchased a Mazda CX5 Homura from the Mazda car sales at Vospers Plymouth.
Throughout the process we were looked after by a fairly new operative, Kieran Thomas. He proved to be very helpful and diligent in his work. If he was unsure of a query he immediately consulted with experienced staff and quickly produced the answer. All in all a pleasurable experience, which is important when spending this amount of money. I would highly recommend the team at this outlet.

It was a brilliant experience from start to finish. Alex Bartlett went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience and was looked after superbly. From a courtesy car until mine was ready, to double checking the vehicle, it made it all worthwhile. Thank you Alex!

Disappointing experience with Vospers Mazda Plymouth service department. On 3 occasions over 3 month period my wife's Mazda 2 failed to start. AA rescue mechanic tested newish 12v battery which was fine and stated it was the starter motor to blame. He gave it a knock and car magically able to be restarted. Straight to Mazda garage but would not accept the AA man's diagnosis without car going on diagnostic machine. A competent mechanic would know that the diagnostic machine deals with the car's EMS not basic mechanical faults which any old school mechanic would have recognized.
Eventually car had a new starter motor after only 44810 miles but have lost faith in Mazda

We bought a used Mazda 3 and traded in our old Vauxhal Meriva and were treated with utmost curtesy and respect. We were given a very good price for our old car on trust (we did not have it with us at the time) and had misplaced the V5C. But
Mike Irvine at Vospers Mazda was completely unfuzzed about this and had immediate solutions to our minor problems. Excellent in every respect throughout our experience. Highly recommended.

I had a fantastic experience, Zoe listened to my needs, finance position and gave me options to consider. She was professional, friendly and clearly knowledgeable about Mazda products. The showroom is clean, bright and has a welcoming feel. I cannot fault the customer service, I felt confident I had made the right choice with Mazda. The total time from first contact to driving home a new car was less than 10 days, amazing!

I don’t normally write reviews about bad service but on this occasion I have felt compelled to articulate my disappointment and poor experience when buying a car at #vospersmazda. I test drove an MX5 a month or so ago and liked it. I asked if the price was negotiable but the sales person looked the car up on the system and discovered that the car had received an advisory on all 4 tyres during its pre-check so a price reduction would not be possible as they were having to fit 4 new tyres. I went home and thought about it and called them the next day and spoke to a different sales person and said I wished to make the purchase. I asked what tyres they would be fitting as I would be prepared to pay extra in order to have decent tyres. At this point I was told the tyres were fine!! I was a little puzzled as still the price was non-negotiable. The salesman said he would send me the sales docs. 5 days passed and I got a call saying he had forgotten to send them but had now and could I return them before the end of the day. I was out but rushed home and managed to get them sent back. He said he would call on the Tues with an update. He didn’t, but I got a call a couple days after that with the news that it would be about a week before collection because the technician had broken a catch on the electric roof. He said he would call in a couple days with more info. Over a week passed with no call so I called him only to be told that the issue was bigger - it needed a whole new wiring loom, they definitely had the part but it would take over a day to fit. They had scheduled the Wednesday to do the work and because I had told him I was getting really fed up with the lack of communication he said he would call that day to let me know the work had started. No call but I got a call a couple days later to say they didn’t have the correct part and it was being ordered from Japan about would take 6-8 weeks to arrive. He said I could have my deposit back so I decided to have a think over night. First thing next morning he called me - first time he had ever called when he said he would, and wanted my decision. I told him I would not be buying the car. He agreed it was wise and that even though they think they have ordered the right part that when they fitted it it may still not solved the problem. He totally understood that I probably couldn’t have faith that the car wouldn’t have further issues with the roof further down the line. He couldn’t return my deposit that day as he was away from the office but said he would call the next morning. The next day it was getting on for 3 o’clock so I called him and he said I was on his list of things to do that day - just obviously not very high. This was just over a week ago and I have now noticed that the same car is back on the forecourt for sale at hundreds of £s more than I paid for it. Either the 6-8 week story wasn’t accurate and they just wanted to sell it at a higher price or the next person to buy it may have a long and possibly painful wait before they can drive it. I have since purchased a MX5 at Clevedon Mazda who I have to say have restored my faith in car sales. Communication was excellent, I was constantly updated throughout the purchase and there was no evolving story as to what needed to be done to it. I was able to pick up 5 days after the test drive. They even filled the tank with fuel as they knew I had a long journey to get home. Cannot speak highly enough of Clevedon Mazda and well worth the hundred mile journey up the road to collect it. Top service and a total contrast to my experience with Vospers.

David Minhinett made me feel very welcome. He was very helpful when it came to fixing my car. The car was sorted very quickly and it was ready to be picked up when they said it would. All staff were incredibly polite and helpful. David is very trustworthy. His word is his bond. one very happy customer. Definitely 10/10 service...always.

Zoe and all the team at Mazda offered such a refreshing, friendly experience after such a horrific one at Audi. I felt valued and well informed throughout and nothing was too much trouble. I can’t believe how smooth everything went and I’m just gutted I didn’t pop into the showroom sooner. Thankyou so so much for changing my opinion on ‘car sales’. People really do buy from people and Zoe and the team are all assets to Mazda and Vospers. Thankyou again!

I am updating my review as i was quickly contacted by the manager of vospers mazda Martin atkin who promptly resolved all of my issues and problems with the car. He then returned me to zoe Clark sales manager who was extremely helpful helping me to choose another car, she even spent an hour sat in the car with me explaining everything I needed to know about the technology and the controls and put my mind at ease and along with Georgia nicklen made the whole process simple and straightforward. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome so I am now giving vospers mazda, particularly the sales staff 5 stars for excellent customer service

Not a peep from them this week after trying to find out what service my Mazda needed. Might sound simple but this lot fitted a new engine back in March after a lot of stress & I don’t know what type of service is required. Have chased them up but still no contact. Now booked in for a full service at Toyota near me. Very friendly & helpful place is Snows. I’m sure somebody must get good service from Vospers & I assume it’s the people that bought their car from them. At least I’d hope so. Also not sure my registration document is right. They said I’d be issued with a new one after the engine replacement but the one I have doesn’t mention that so it’s probably still the original. Good luck if you’re booked in with this lot. One other thing, their service is very expensive. Nearly twice the price of many other places.

Was able to negotiate a good deal for the new car and satisfactory trade allowance on my old one. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

We were due to pick up our car and deliver our part ex vehicle at 10 a.m. Saturday after agreeing the sales process the previous Saturday.
At 9 a.m we received a call from a member of the sales team who had just been made aware that this would not be possible as the sales person handling our sale was off sick.
I appreciate that staff sickness occurs but the sales person had been off sick since Wednesday and the car we were collecting had not been prepared, cleaned etc and no one could access the sales paperwork and thus we could not complete the transaction.
The lady who explained the situation was as helpful as she could be in the circumstances at it seems she also was unaware the car had been sold and that it was due to be collected and she did negotiate a free first service on our behalf and offer a courtesy car and the car to be delivered when ready, but I believe she had to get confirmation of the free service from her sales manager.
We had obviously cancelled the insurance on our part ex vehicle and arranged insurance for the car we were due to pick up.
I would have expected that when considering the size of the Vospers operation that they would have had contingency plans to cover staff sickness to avoid customer disappointment.
It also seemed unfair on the sale person present that they had to deal with this problem and refer complaints etc to the sales manager and not the sales manager themselves being the main point of contact?
The car was purchased a a retirement gift to myself and having purchased cars and motorbikes as well as fleet vehicles during my career this was the most disappointing vehicle purchase I have experienced.
The car itself is excellent but the purchasing experience was extremely disappointing and has had a negative effect on the whole point of the transaction.

After a somewhat confusing start about Vehicle availability the team stepped up and were very courteous, helpful, knowledgeable & honest about hhe initial confusion.
The purchase of my selected vehicle & subsequent trade in of my own vehicle.
No pressure sales talk .
They did well to provide my vehicle within a very tight turnaround
( Visit Tuesday afternoon, pick up Friday afternoon)
Even with a manpower shortage in Valeting tge deadline was met.
I commend all of the team I met & for help willingness in arranging Service Plan details (Good Value).

Zoe was very friendly and professional, buying a new car and selling my old one was an extremely slick process. Zoe made me aware of additional bolt on services but was not pushy in selling them.
Overall a great experience, the new car itself has been a fantastic purchase.

I visited the Vospers bodyshop in Valley rd Plympton today with a concern over some damage to the bodywork of my MX5 which haad been covered for a few weeks. When I removed the cover I noted a number of patches. Having Diamond brite coating I was keen to avoid breaching any warranty.
I was helped by Robbie who was happy to look at the dmage immediately and also treated two body panels with Diamond brite body products that made the cr look new. Robbie kindly let me heve the products free of charge and with no charge for his time. I was able to apply product to the remaining body panels myself and now have a gleaming car again.
It was so refreshing to be able to speak to an experienced person and somebody who was willing to give their time and advice in such a courteous way.
Brilliant service… well done Robbie!
