Is this legal or what...

went to final stage and found they wanted 47% interest on a $500 loan with a high late fee followed by a $1 aday penalty on late payment. Is this legal or what...

I wasn't able to up my loan

I was able to redraw on my loan and this was fine. But nothing had changed financially in my circumstances at all. And it said that I was able to increase my loan from 6k to 8k. And when I tried i got declined. This was disappointing.
