Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 62 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers report that products like bread and teacakes go moldy quickly, often well before the best-before date, leading to disappointment and wasted purchases. Reviewers also frequently mention a decline in quality, noting changes in taste and texture, with some describing products as dry, stale, or having an unpleasant chemical flavor. The size of products, particularly bread slices and teacakes, has reportedly decreased while prices remain high, causing frustration among consumers. Some people were dissatisfied with the ingredients, expressing concerns about ultra-processed food and unpronounceable additives, and also reported finding unexpected items in their food. Conversely, a few other people also felt that some products, like the Farmhouse White slice bread or the new sourdough, were still excellent in taste and quality.

There is hardly any fruit in Warburton's Fruity Teacakes despite the claim on the packet of 'plump and juicy currants, sultanas and raisins'. Other brands including shop own brands are better.

I had the misfortune of buying seed…

I had the misfortune of buying seed rolls of the gluten free range I eat I became extremely sick with pain in my stomach and I realised it was from the roll I eat it , I have intolerance and I’m allergic to eggs I can’t eat eggs and I had to induce a vomit to take it out if no I would have a asthma attack too and probably had to go to hospital . To my disbelief I went to read the ingredients and they put white egg in bread . I went to check online it looks like they put egg white in all the bread of gluten free range . How can they claim the bread is suitable for vegetarians if they put egg white on it . Do they know what is the definition of a vegetarian . Also how can they claim to be halal using white egg . Are the chickens that produce the eggs halal , so many questions . I try to contact them to the customer service nobody answers

Bag full of chemicals

Was concerned about the time it takes to read the ingredients list on a typical loaf of bread. Some of the ingredients are unpronounceable. So thought I'd try, what I thought was the good quality stuff, Warburton's. Paid £1.40, instead off the usual 99p. Jesus, it tasted like soap, god knows what's actually in it. Years ago bread was made of flour , year water and salt. Now it's the glow in the dark stuff. Now I. The market for a bread maker and will use the afore mentioned ingredients only. You're risking your health eating this crap.

Two loaves of Warburton's Medium Sliced…

Two loaves of Warburton's Medium Sliced bread in a row gone mouldy well within the best before date. Bread stored in the same place as it has been for years, and other bread products stored there keep as expected.

I've been a Warburton's customer for years but I can't afford to pay a premium price for a non-premium product.

Mold on the crusts of bread

Mold on the crusts of bread. This is the 3rd time in the past few months this has happened. It's not good enough! It's still in the best before date and theres little bits of mold on them. We've never eaten any other bread and this has never happened before, let alone multiple times. Looking at reviews online, clearly I'm not the only one noticing that recently there's been more mold appearances. Will be buying different brands loafs now, absolutely ridiculous and so disappointed.

Having been a Warburton's customer for …

Having been a Warburton's customer for over 35 years I finally stopped buying there products,a loaf of bread. Should have a longer shelf life of 2 days before it goes green mouldy, the bread has a greasy slimy texture, and doesn't even taste like bread any more, even the birds won't eat it.and this goes for all your products,

Quality is crumbling!

I used to think Warburtons Half & Half was ok, but the quality seems to have gone down the pan. Has the recipe changed? The taste and texture is every bit as bad as the bread from Tesco and Hovis.

green and mouldy for too quick

I have eaten Warburtons bread for as long as i can remember but the last month or so I have had to throw away loads as it has gone green and mouldy before sell by date some of the time. I am keeping it in the same way I always have so it has to be a change to the bread or packaging.

A V O I D

Two of us ate their "soft pittas" within an hour of each other. Wow. My friend began feeling ill, sweating, bloated and tummy pain. When I ate mine and hour later, I had EXACTLY the same symptoms and felt as if id just eaten a bowl of cold wallpaper paste. Writing to the company today as of 22/7
