I purchased Marathon watch from…

I purchased Marathon watch from WatchShop. Paid over £700, the watch was advertised as a brand new one.I received clearly used watch with unscrewed crown and the original Marathon box was broken and stained with coffee. My assumption is someone had returned this watch and WhatchShop resold it as a new one. The box had totally broken hinges and had a big dent. WhatchShop returned money after my email but did not even offered to reimburse postage cost or some additional compensation for wasting my time. Now they promised to refund postage costs but I'm yet to receive any money from them. Reviews on trustpilot are mainly positive one but if you read some reviews online on independent forums, there are lots of customers conned by WatchShop in a similar way. WhatShop seems to be sending quite a few used/ broken watches which they advertised as brand new ones. This seems to be some sort of scam they run. Really disappointing.

very dissatisfied

very dissatisfied. evri lost or damaged my watch, which was intended as a gift for my father, Bulova Marine. customer service didn't even offer a similar watch, just a refund. So you buy through Watchshop, wait, Evri loses or destroys your order and Jade from Watchshop doesn't care at all!!!

Just reading a review someone sent to…

Just reading a review someone sent to Stuart, on how amazing he is, unfortunately I didn't get the same Stuart, basically told me wasn't his problem, got a watch for Christmas and it stopped twice in 2 months, if your buying ask how long its been in there warehouse, selling watches that have been there since 2021 and there reply was no wonder it keeps losing time. Be careful and ask, once they hand over the watch your on your own

Not Keeping Time Correctly

Watch looks great (even though the brushed aluminium scratches relativity easily). The depth charge watch stopped working not even 3 months after purchase despite me not taking it in water or being rough with it at all.

Fraudulent and Illegal

Pray that your item arrives in working condition - because if it doesn’t you will be out of luck.

I bought a watch that turned out to be faulty, I sent it back after much hassle & the watch shop admitted it was faulty. I requested a refund (under the consumer rights act 2015) to which they refused and sent me back the faulty watch, with no refund.

They have admitted the watch is faulty but refusing to do anything to make it right? This is illegal & the company is not operating under their responsibilities outlined under retailers laws.

I simply cannot believe this is happening to me by such a large retailer? Beyond shameful.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. I recently bought a watch with free bracelet adjustment and when the watch arrived it had not been done.

They are adamant it was done and even when I sent the watch back and have photo evidence of the measurements they refuse to believe me and won’t refund the postage. It is extremely frustrating that there is now no customer service phone number so I cannot escalate this. I am now out of pocket for a lot of postage due to this company’s incompetency.

So the question is who is STUART in…

So the question is who is STUART in customer services in the WatchShop?
I will tell you, someone who should not be in customer services.
My partner ordered a watch in late November for me. I got it for xmas and has to pay another £10 to send back for a link to be removed. It came back and the first day I wore the strap failed and the watch fell off my wrist. Thankfully no damage. Send back asking for a refund as no confidence in the watch. Told me NO only repair. One month later watch arrived back with a a new strap. Great you would think. No, the link had not been removed. So new watch and haven't worn it since Xmas, it's now nearly middle of Match. I emailed and spoke to a really lovely person called Jade and explained I would like a full refund. No, STUART intercepted the email and basically told me I was done and they would do nothing further.
Watchshop, what are you doing to customers???
I will be sending an email again but in the meantime, maybe someone will read this and perhaps get in contact from the Watchshop........
UPDATE Mr TUCKWELL (STUART) No interest in helping and no reply to email.
Do not buy from here.....

I am not one for writing negative…

I am not one for writing negative reviews however it’s only right that I share my awful experience to avoid anyone else being in the same situation as me.
I purchased a watch for my brother as a gift and spent just under £300. To my dismay Evri said they had delivered my package however it was no where to be found. I searched high and low, asked all my neighbours and everyone in my household and nothing. So I contacted customer care in hopes that they could help me locate my parcel or find an alternative solution. I had a man by the name of Stuart dealing with my query and he did nothing but insult me throughout the conversation and implied that I was lying. He was adamant that Evri had delivered it and stated to me that ‘if I really’ had not received it, it was likely it was stolen and told me that I should contact the police. I understand its not the company’s fault however a little compassion would not go amiss as I have lost out majorly in money without my parcel. Very disappointing experience and hope that no one else has to endure the experience that I did. Stuart was awful to deal with and did nothing but question my integrity.

Stuart. Best customer service!

Bought a Vivienne Westwood watch, sent next day via EVRI. EVRI lost/stole parcel (happens a lot with these watches according to trust pilot) I been dealing with Stuart-customer service. He answers all my emails within 1-2hrs and acts immediately on what he says. I can’t be more impressed. He sent me another watch via Royal Mail, which I received in less than 24hrs! Super happy🤗Every shop online needs a Stuart😀

Awful customer service

My parents purchased an Olivia Burton watch from here for my for Christmas present. I tried it on, and the clasp did not close properly. It was then put back into the presentation box it came with. A repair was requested, parents sent it off. Told could take 8-12 weeks for it come back.
Eventually came back, with a breakdown inside of all the “scratches” on it - Well it was brand new, or was it? As we certainly did not get it in that condition. No information on what was repaired. After my father sent several emails back and forth, with non professional replies from a not so charming person called Stuart. They have declared there is nothing more for them to do. The clasp is still not up to standards and I am too scared to wear it. Would never purchase from here again. After reading other similar experiences, I am convinced they send out returned watches. Do yourself a favour and purchase from the manufacturers directly. Avoid at all costs!

Flawed returns process without refunds!

Ordered a TW steel watch for a gift, then the recipient changed their mind, so attempted to cancel shortly after ordering.

I was advised that the order had been sent by Evri and to refuse delivery, but they'd left in my porch when I returned home.

Emailed Watchshop and was advised to return (at my own cost) to their PO box address as per their website.

Sent by RM tracked and the item arrived two days later.

Tracking now shows that Watchshop aren't allowing any deliveries so they are retaining the item. RM advised that they wait for Watchshop to collect from their PO box, which they are meant to do a minimum of once a week.

10 days later and multiple emails their 'helpdesk' email and the item is still stuck in the PO box.

Strange thing is the delivery office is a couple of doors away from Watchshop's office and they keep saying they are trying their best to collect the item, but this is completely unacceptable and doesn't fill me with much confidence.

No phone number or any other means of getting in-touch, apart from their live-chat.

Please don't make the same mistake and choose another company. I'll be going through my bank and will do everything in my power to ensure these funds are retrieved.

Would give 0 if possible

Would give 0 if possible. I ordered a watch that did not work when it arrived. Upon sending it back, I received no information from the Watch Shop stating that they had received it, that they were processing my refund or that they were refusing to give me a refund. I only received notification that I was being refused a refund because I got back in contact. Unceremoniously, Stuart from the customer service team stated that the warehouse was refusing my refund and "politely suggested" I agree to have the watch sent back to me in lieu of a refund. Stuart is rude, unhelpful and plain horrible to communicate with. I have never experienced such bad customer service from a company with blatant disrespect from their representatives. Do not buy from or support this company.

Bought a Vivian Westwood watch last…

Bought a Vivian Westwood watch last June for my partner for £120 on offer should have been £200 4 weeks ago stopped working strap after 7 months colour coming off and coming apart contacted watch shop not interested said to old 7 months !!!!! 2 years warranty they gave me another company to contact never heard of them to see about repair no reply, I have consumer rights and will be taking this further to get a full refund from the watch Shop. I also contacted Vivienne Westwood and they told me to contact the supplier which is the watch shop . They are not bothered gave me an email address to contact them who obviously they bought off do not ever use this company again as they don’t care. I saved up to buy this watch as a special present again. If you buy a watch off these make sure that you have the warranty and a two year guarantee which I haven’t according to them, I have all the receipts, I sent them photographs of the watch and then redirected to a different company who I’ve not heard from yet
