Buyer beware
Buyer beware! Bought a sofa two weeks ago for £425, seller couldn't give me a delivery date then 3 days later rang me in the evening, no prior warning, and said he had it on the van but he was working alone and needed help. I explained I was an elderly female living in supported accommodation and couldn't lift a sofa nor could any of my neighbours. He seemed nonplussed by that so suggested dragging some random person off the street to help him. When I said I didn't want a random stranger in my flat he took offence and said he'd get back to me. He didn't, so I called him and he agreed to a refund as I needed the sofa urgently, 10 days later, still no refund. I have contacted the owner several times but he just keeps making excuses. I have explained to him that I have had to buy another sofa so am seriously out of pocket, still no refund.
