Absolutely shocking eperience!
They falsly advertise events and wrongly describe sales.
The events are set in places that are otherwise free to enter with minimal difference and have absolutely no way of getting in contact with the company.
They do not respond to “queries” which is the only option of getting in contact with them.

Appauling company.

Biggest scam I've ever been to. I've emailed for a refund and their reply was generic and pathetic. Told me it wasn't perfect and no refund because of a free dink which we never got.

We ended up leaving after 10mins because it was the biggest waste of time and money.

do not waste your money on any other events.

A rip off , poorly organised event . I bought evening tickets ( on the day the tickets were first released ) for the Saturday which gave admittance at 5pm, there was no daytime or group tickets available then . The place was already packed when we arrived at 5 on the dot , long queues at every Asian food stalls , the few sitting areas were filled by people eating or who had finished eating , they obviously gained entry during the daytime session. The queue at the bars were horrendous with very limited choice. Food ran out very early unless you fancied Italian or Turkish , we ended up having some sort of Turkish kebab standing up and left .

Arrived at 5 as per ticket instructionsfor evening entry. Queued for ages only to get to the food stall and find they only had one or two dishes left! One of the sushi stall’s original dishes was vegetable sushi, as they ran out of ingredients it became avocado and cucumber, then finally when we arrived to order it was just avocado, and we paid the full price of the original veg menu option!

Prior to attending, we saw loads of comments (which were deleted) where ticket holders complained that people without tickets were just walking in off the street and entering for free. When we arrived, we were happy to see there was a queue area set up, the lady welcomed us however never ask to view our digital ticket whatsoever, we were all given a token and walked in. To note when I was booking tickets online, my preference was the afternoon ticket (which was cheaper), but was unfortunately sold out. But i was willing to go for the love of dumplings and raman, so ordered the evening option which was double the price. However on arrival there was significantly less food, and most stalls were closing due to selling out! We were gutted! I only had one portion of dumplings, one portion of sushi and there was no ramen whatsoever! I have no idea how the event was going to continue until 9! I assume they sold out because all the non ticket holders are everything before the paying clients got a chance!

The entertainment which started at 7, was one guy in jeans and a Tshirt singing Abba songs, I thought it was karaoke!

Don’t waste your time with this one. We were so disappointed. I paid more for less. I'll be avoiding any further we love food events im afraid.

I have never written a review before this - so this shows how bad it was. Paid £12 for a ticket to "asian food festival" in Spitalfields. Essentially all they did was wall off the food section in spitalfields market, which is free to get in - and charged you online to go in. Went in and gave it a chance - but what you got for your ticket was 1) 1/2 a pint, 2) what they claim to be discounts on food. However i couldnt find one food discount that was publicly advertised (so you had to ask at every stall), and the ones that i did find when i asked, they either ran out - or it was something no one wanted. Whats worse is, you can rock up on the day and get in for free!! So basically, i paid £12 for 1/2 a pint at the "asian food festival", where there were italian pizza vans, bread stands and a variety of other non-asian food items - unless Japan invented the margarita pizza and i wasnt aware of it. They also advertised, competitions, chef demonstrations, music and surprises. We were there for a couple of hours - and the only thing we heard of the aforementioned, was Taylor Swift played on speakers in one corner of the venue.

Paid £12 pp for an event that advertised music, chef demonstrations as well as multiple food stalls. Many food stalls closed, almost all food stalls had run out of food by 1hr 30 mins into a 4hr event and there was no live music or entertainment of any kind. Also a significant number of stalls were those that would have been resident in the market regardless and they weren't neccessarily Asian. Would not go to any events organised by this team again.

An absolute SCAM. Do not go to these events!! Organisers are charging people to access vendors that sell at the market everyday! You get a tiny 1/2 beer for £12. People were walking in for free, only a couple of stalls actually sold dumplings (even though billed as a ‘dumpling’ festival) and most had run out by early evening. All negative comments were deleted from Facebook by the organisers, so this is the only way to inform people not to buy tickets to their other events! It is a total disgrace and Spitalfields really have stepped in and shut this down since it took place on their premises.

People paid for tickets yet the event was open to all food was pricey and queue was ridiculous organisers deleting comment of Facebook because they didn't like the feedback

I am extremely disappointed by the We love Asian Food event I attended on Saturday 14 July in the afternoon.

Firstly the entry fee was unnecessary as the employees let in absolutely everyone, with or without a ticket and did not control the number of people present inside the event perimeter. Queues at the food stands were massive (15min-30min). None of the stands offered discounts or free food for ticket holders. It felt overcrowded and places to sit down and eat were insufficient as a result.

Secondly there was none of the entertainment advertised in the pictures and the food stalls were not specifically Asian as there was an italian pizza place for example.

In summary i really feel I have been missold the event. It was not at all what I was expecting and buying a ticket was unnecessary. It was simply a selection of food stalls as there are already several in Shoreditch and Brick Lane at the weekend where you can pop in for free.

Absolute waste of time and money. Found it to be extremely unorganised. Paid £26 for two tickets to something which members of the public managed to walk in for free! Received a ‘free’ drink of lemonade (or wine or beer) that was poured from a large bottle which you can buy from Tesco for £1.50. The girl who served us used her FINGERS to put lemon in our drinks. VILE!!! There was no discount at the vendors as we was told there would be, there was no live music or free samples as advertised. Half the vendors had sold out most of their products. What a waste of money, time and effort. I wouldn’t bother going!

Whoever are behind ‘We Love Food’ festivals should be ashamed of themselves for taking money under false pretences to their events. I went to one (We Love Meat) and paid £12 each for 3 tickets to the 5-9pm slot and found out that tickets weren’t even necessary. So the free drink isn’t free at all, when tickets aren’t mandatory. Over half the food stalls were closed in the 5-9pm slot, we were told our tickets get you 20% off the stalls - this was also false. There were no food demos or entertainment even though this was advertised. Despite my various enquiries to the company they have responded to none of them, delete all negative comments to their events and even blocked me from their Facebook page so I am not able to post.

They also held an Asian food festival the following week and there were the exact same issues. Again, they have deleted all the negative comments and don’t respond to any of them. Not only are they ripping people off but they also do not make it clear the majority of the food stalls they claim to have at their festival are already regular traders at Spitafields and there is no entry fee required. I urge everyone who has been ripped off by this company to complain far and wide so they cannot keep taking money under false pretences.

The Asian Food Festival in London’s Old Spitalfields event is such a disgrace - firstly, the fact that they charged for buying tickets I consider pure robbery. People were walking in without tickets as informed by the door host as it was not a mandatory requirement...
The ‘ticket’ got you a little red plastic token which allegedly gave 10% off all food at every stall but the vendors ALL said they have no idea where people are getting this info from as there is no such discount - they paid to be there so wouldn’t be offering discounts.
The ‘ticket’ also said ‘free drink’ which is a half pint/ soft drink/ small wine in exchange for the token... uhhh sorry but how does anyone get the fabled food discount if the bar has just taken your token...?
The ticket cost is completely disproportionate to the cost of a drink and no other perks. If I wanted to spend £10 on a ginger beer I’d have gone to the Ritz.
The queues were unacceptable and there was nowhere to sit as the event was vastly overcrowded due to being able to walk straight in.
There was Italian, and all sorts of other food... the range of Asian stalls was poor to say the least and the quality of food being served sub standard given the pressure on vendors to serve too many people for the capacity.
The event is a con and a disgrace. Even if you bought a ticket I’d recommend don’t bother going and consider the value of your time, patience and expectations. Old Spitalfields is a great area, save yourself and go spend your money on somewhere else great and local to eat. Rubbish.

Absolute Sham!!! They are charging for tickets but actually anyone can walk in... there was no food within an hour, massive queues and not many dumpling stalls at all at the dumplings event!

Complete misold event. Absolute disgrace

Went to the 'we love asian food' event in Old Spittalfields market. My partner and I had paid £12 each for an entry ticket. On the Facebook page it advertised that there would be live music, live cooking demonstrations, competitions/prizes, and other 'suprises to follow'. We were disappointed to find that we only received a drink on entry, either half a pint of beer or a soft drink from a supermarket bottle. There was 0 entertainment hosted. We asked an organiser who awkwardly lied about a singer that had played, when further questioned he said he was s*** and not worth seeing. Food itself was good however it was expensive with some of the stalls closing early. Overall, you are better off going to one of the free food markets around London as this was a waste of money.
