Visited western car radio today for an amplifier upgrade , Simon recommended an Audi son dsp amp , I thought my old amp was good but the new one is pure harmony , I wasn’t expecting such an upgrade , everything blends perfectly a true pleasure to listen to , thanks guys for a first class job and sound advice , money well spent , Mike Howard bristol

I had a great experience with Western Car Radio in Bristol. Simon was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. When my new car wasn’t initially supported by the Autowatch Ghost II, Simon arranged for a software engineer from Autowatch to come in and get it programmed. On my next visit, they installed and programmed the Ghost II perfectly — it’s now working flawlessly.

Just had my front speakers upgraded by Simon at WCR (Western Car Radio), Bristol and I'm VERY pleased with the result!

These speakers were already upgraded a few years ago but I wasn't happy with the overall result - now I have more volume, clarity and am totally happy with the work.

I have used WCR three times now and am very pleased with their service, professionalism and friendliness so will definitely be going back next time.

I've got a VW golf which I have been upgrading the audio system in over the last couple of years, every time getting great advice & the quality of the installation is second to none at reasonable prices. Simon is a great guy, knowledgeable & friendly,a pleasure to deal with.10/10

Fantastic service from start to finish!
I had been pondering an audio upgrade to my Nissan Qashqai +2 Tekna for ages. With the excellent help and support of Simon, a Pioneer EVO-950DAB with 9" screen was chosen and the install booked. Simon took great pains to make sure the unit would fit and not foul any driving operations and he also suggested adding an active Calearo Shark Fin DAB antenna to replace the original (so glad I took this option, it looks neat and holds-on to the signal really well).
The install took place and afterwards Simon was careful to walk my wife and I through the operation of the new unit, and make sure we were happy with it. After a month of enjoyment, we are more than happy with the Pioneer head unit and also the service we have received from all at Western Car Radio - many thanks again!

My advice to anyone thinking of using this company is to be wary and to question their diagnosis. I went in with my vehicle and was immediately told that the speakers were blown. I was presented with a quote which included replacement speakers and a new radio system at a cost of £620 and was asked to pay a non returnable deposit of £50 to secure a booking for the work to be carried out several weeks on. The following day I discovered that the problem lay with internal connection wiring, that the speakers did not need replacing and were indeed high spec. The wiring was replaced and the audio system is now back to normal. I contacted Western Car Radio to cancel the booking and to ask for a refund of the deposit. I await a reply but am not hopeful.
