I Chose Whitegates in Pontefract to sell my house due to previous positive reviews. The house sold within 3 days which was great. Liam had given an accurate purchase price which was received. The whole selling process wasn’t plain sailing however due to a company buying to rent out the property, the legalities a little complex and lengthy.
From the selling side by Whitegates though I cannot fault all the hard work and perseverance from Amanda in particular but also to Yvonne who were so patient with the constant phone calls they received from me.
Amanda was amazing going that extra mile to put me at ease and make a difficult situation more bearable so thank you so much.

The experience of selling our home with Whitegates was made outstanding due to the professional and friendly approach that the Pontefract team have and their helpful nature in communication the current position along the journey.

After being on the market with a previous estate agents, the marketing was stale and the viewings were minimal, until we changed to Whitegates.

Numbers were up, plenty of positive viewings and we accepted an offer within two weeks.

The help and assistance didn’t stop there, with regular updates from the team, themselves pushing both parties solicitors, we completed - from the viewing to completion was approx 7 weeks, with no stresses at all!

Just want to say what a lovely experience I had with whitegate Amanda was lovely and help make the experience memorable was always there and helped in every way, buying a house has been the most stressful thing but Amanda has made it so much easier thank you so much ch Amanda

My house sold in 3 days and we moved in to new property within 11 weeks.

Worked with yvonne as the conveyancer on the file and she was simply superb, she was great in handling the file when we had an issue with the emails. Highly recommended!!

Definitely experienced unconscious bias, racial prejudice from Lettings negotiator. Staff in office are helpful though in my experience.
If you’re going to make assumptions about someone based on their ethnic identity, then make it more outright, it doesn’t have to be nuanced, because we can sense that from a mile away.

Having put a offer in for a property in Pontefract the off era was accepted by the vendor, we set the ball rolling got our estate agent sorted and date booked for photos. Just because we wasnt using whitegates in Pontefract they rung us and told us our offer had been now refused and a higher offer had been put in . The funny thing is we know personally the lady that was interested in the house and she hadn't put her offer in as her circumstances had changed ... full of rubbish

Avoid at all costs. We proceeded to have an offer accepted on a property following Whitegates South Elsmall own guide valuation. When the mortgage company had their own in person valuation done at the property they said it was worth 25k less. Yvonne admitted they are having lots of properties downvalued by actually surveyors but still they refuse to value properties adequately or tell their vendors the correct information.
We’d also paid for a building survey which highlighted an extra 15k of work required. Still Whitegates have put the property back on the market at the original price of 220k.
Legally they are supposed to tell buyers the truth about defects, building reports, previous offers that have fallen through and they are clearly not doing so

I have had dealings with whitegates in pontefract for over two years now and they have being nothing but excellent throughout, can't speak highly enough of them, they dealt with my house sale promptly and professionally then sorted me a rental property out while i had another property renevated. Will definitely go to the them again when we move again!!!

I rented a property for 11 months with Whitegates and it was a very smooth process. The property upkeep was fantastic at all times and maintenence issues fixed straight away. They have even been understanding of my issues during COVID-19.
