Practice manager is arrogant and…

Practice manager is arrogant and unhelpful.
Touches people when he shouldn’t.. very strange vibe from him.
Calls people white girls in then claims your racist for saying a doctor was foreign and struggled to understand you.
A joke of a surgery.

Please find another GP or at least a Second Opinion

It’s difficult to know where to start, between the nepotism of Senior Staff, the truly poor customer service from reception and surgery manager to the narrow minded thinking of part time GP’s.

If your gut tells you, you have something more than a simple virus then I would urge you to look for another GP if you are able.

'I Wanna Be Well' then avoid like the plague!

If you have chance to register at another practice please do.

It is only when you experience being with another practice that you realize how inefficient and poor the customer service both from front line staff and doctors really is.

The doctors are OK with general diagnosis such as colds, eczema, bugs etc. However when it comes to things more serious they seem to lack the ability to see the bigger picture and make connections between life style, environment and ongoing symptoms. If you feel something is wrong with you, and you cannot register anywhere else, demand to see a specialist/s rather than go with the general practitioners diagnosis... remember your rights and who pays their bills.

I have found on numerous occasions that the front line staff do not have the results you require due to system issues (they seem to have major problems with electronic systems). However I have also noticed that is you call and get the name of the person you spoke to and then call back later, they say they still do not have the information, if you mention that you spoke to ?? earlier in the day and they told you to call back it appears that the results seem to magically appear within a minute!

It is also seems to be well known between the staff at the practice and also some of the local pharmacists that one of the doctors bedside manor leaves a lot to be desired and can make situations worse. I'm sure they genuinely feel they are helping, however they do not seem to understand the impact of the words they use can have on a patient. GP's hold a certain stature within society and therefore people tend to take what they say as gospel. It worries me that if this is know by staff within they practice why as nothing been said to the doctor...

And finally the management fits in with the theme of poor customer care. If you do ever manage to get through to them their understanding and empathy of a situation leaves you feeling cold and frustrated.

Its hard to see how this practice can improve without a major restructure and a serious investment in training.
