Craig fully understood what I wanted to achieve. He helped me to sort our bathroom requirements and I shall continue to connect until our bathroom is complete

We were very impressed by the customer service Theo provided when we visited the Southport store. We were returning paint purchased the previous day and Theo was extremely helpful in sorting out the refunds and assisting with the purchase of alternative paint colours. It was only our second visit to the new Wickes store at Kew and it was a pleasure to be served by a pleasant and polite member of staff so we will definitely shop here again.

I went in to get timber, and mike who works there was so helpful. He helped me out to my car and did all he could to fit it in. Took the time and helped me till i had it all in. Nothing was to much trouble. Amazing service thank you

Helpfull staff loaded my van with a bargain of a dishwasher i noticed on the way the store just had to be baught massive saving, so happy chappy

On 3rd April 2026 we signed up with Wickes, Southport for a £25,000 kitchen plus extra £s for fitting, tiling and electrics which sum was to be agreed and paid separately to their designated fitter.
Our kitchen was eventually started on 22nd June 26 and now here we are 18th August 26 and it is still not finished.
We have had to chase every step to get anything done and the customer service department is completely ineffectual.
Once you’ve signed on the dotted line we feel you are no longer important.
Even emails to the CEO David Wood remain unanswered.
We are pensioners who have been camping in our own home for over 7 weeks with no water to the kitchen or cooking facilities.
We have now got water and can at least use the washing machine but still the hob isn’t connected due to a problem getting an electrician to fit a new main fuse board to accommodate all the new appliances. There is also still a list of items outstanding.
We have paid for all the fitting services in full and cannot understand how anyone can be expected to wait this long for completion.
Although we chase and chase we get nowhere.
Our recommendation to anyone who is looking to get a new kitchen is DO NOT TOUCH WICKES .
I can’t begin to describe what a terrible experience this has been and the toll it has taken on the two of us.
If I could give this review minus stars I would but you have to give at least one star to get it posted ! They definitely don’t even deserve one star.

Steve Ambler at Wickes Southport could not have been any more helpful in helping us design and order our new kitchen. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and most of all patient during the number of times we changed our mind. Thanks to Steve and his hard work, we are looking forward to our new kitchen being installed soon

We made an appointment to have our bathroom designed with Antony at the Southport branch. Although we had some ideas of what we wanted for our bathroom, we wanted someone to suggest ideas to maximise our space within our budget, especially as this was our first bathroom renovation! Before our appointment Antony looked at our measurements and prepared a floorplan before our arrival. Antony listened to everything we wanted, made fantastic suggestions and put together a very comprehensive design for us. He was welcoming to us, polite, professional and came across as genuinely passionate for his job. We also liked how Antony didn't pressure us into making our decisions - he made it clear he was there if we had any questions, yet did not hassle us for our decision! Overall, a very pleasant experience and we would not hesitate to recommend him.

Nipped to Wickes today with my mother to sort flooring out.
Mike was in the vicinity and helped us immediately. Helped us with the maths, sorted the delivery and even helped me deal with trying to find a suitable door.
I was busy today, stressed and I’m really crap at maths. Just wanted to thank him for making things that bit calmer for us.
Also. Probably a delight to work in there with the Aircon!!

Called in to check size of a replacment timber gate,found what I was looking for,and sizes matched what I required.Was going to order on line for delivery to home,but had see a few reviews saying they wished they had purchased in store as the one they had delivered was warped.I asked at checkout if delivery came from the branch..the guy was not sure and asked for the manager to answer my question.I told her Sofia what my dilemma was.the gates they had in stock were all fine,she assured me the delivery would come from that store and could be delivered on Tuesday.We decided to place place the order with Sofia there and then Very polite,pleasure to deal with.Lets just hope the gate i ordered arrives and is not warped 😉 😀 Sofia is a credit to the company.On a plus note,the air con in the store was very welcome 👌😎

I needed some advice with some paintbrushes & rollers for my new house and Mike from the Southport store was very knowledgeable & helpful.

Hi to all called into Wickes in Southport today very first time specifically looking for help with plumbing parts employee called Craig was at the entrance desk asking him for help he kindly took me over to the plumbing section and within five minutes I had all that was required for the job in hand this employee was very pleasant to talk to friendly and above all very helpful.
Well done Wickes great member of staff here at Southport.

Today I used Click & Collect. Firstly I ‘lost’ my collection code but fortunately Baljit found it for me 🙄. Then Craig offered to help take the heavy goods to my car - which was a God send as I had put my back out yesterday. We also had a delivery booked for today - which arrived on time as usual. Wickes is now my Go To place as I find the prices very reasonable, the delivery charge brilliant and customer care in the store excellent. I cannot fault Wickes and would highly recommend. Thank you guys!

Very helpful staff at the Southport store, Damian helped me to carry an oversized box and load it in the car. I got a great deal on a Ketter store it out box. It was on offer about £40 cheaper than other shops.
