No hard sale ,left to browse then we asked Lorraine for help , Looked all over the net because we chose a discontinued colour we thought, she took our plan and got and altered to fit .

Upon my recent visits to Wickes’reatively new store at Torquay ,I have had the pleasure of being served mainly by Cashier Mr Jack Parker.
Jack is a young man who is most professional,friendly and helpful and most importantly clearly ambitious.
Whilst Jack and I are at opposite ends of the aging scale yo personally believe that he has the potential to do well within his chosen career band I have no hesitation u in wishing him every success .

I went into Wickes looking to purchase a kitchen. I had no idea of design etc and thankfully was seen by Jay West who ultimately designed my kitchen even down to colour schemes and units, worktops, flooring and wall tiles. He arranged a visit to my home convenient to us both and ultimately designed my kitchen for which I am very happy with. From start to finish every little detail has been made for me and I have to name my installer Tony Mitchell who was the nicest chap you could wish to meet but so skilled at his work. Customer service have been amazing, checking in all the time. I had a few boxes of wall tiles left over and they have taken them back and given me a refund. From start to finish I can’t fault them at all and would definitely recommend the Torquay branch. They have been known to come out to you out of hours if you need anything. What more can you ask for? In a word. BRILLIANT and many thanks.

Polite and helpful staff

So we half way through the kitchen buying process. Kitchen decided . Design done. Signed off design. Deposit paid. This whole experience has been so easy and smooth becouse of Marie in their design team. She has been nothing but a massive help even with all the design changes! Her knowledge has been invaluable to make sure we got the kitchen we wanted tp the specification we wanted too. Marie is an asset to this branch. She knows and understands service and what it means to the customer. Thank you.

Wickes in Torquay Devon. I visited earlier today to buy several 10L tubs of paint. Rather bulky and heavy but a member of staff immediately offered to help me. He got a trolley, located the paints, caulk etc. and took the trolley to the till for me to make the purchase. He then took the trolley to my car, unloaded it all into the boot. What amazing service from Finn - thankyou SO much!

I would like to give a huge thank you to the two young guys, Jake & Connor who helped me at Wickes.
They were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to assist me. Nothing was too much trouble, they were incredibly helpful, patient and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I got exactly what I needed.
It was so refreshing to receive such outstanding customer service, especially from two young members of staff who clearly take pride in their work. They were friendly, polite and professional throughout, and their help made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier.
Wickes should be extremely proud to have these two representing the company. They are a real credit to Wickes and deserve recognition for their excellent customer service.

Just like to give a shout out for customers service kyle was really helpful in doing my order for polycarbonate sheet had them delivered next day with excellent courier I had one sheet returned to store today nothing wrong I over ordered kyle dealt with my return very helpful and exceptionally polite. And very professional

We were in search of some specific timber posts and Jake spent the time locating stock in the warehouse, helping to make sure we found exactly what we needed. His knowledge and attention to detail was a great help and saved us travelling to other stores. Thank you!

Lorraine from Torquay was an amazing help from start to finish. We were absolutely clueless with designing our bathroom and she made all of our stress disappear and helped us decide exactly what we need and want! Thank you Lorraine for being so calm and patient with us :) we are now excited to re-do our bathroom!

Most impressed with the service at Wickes Torquay. Marie guided me through the entire process in a friendly and highly professional way. She captured my needs exactly and was really helpful in refining selections. She was also excellent with aftercare follow up contact. The wider project team were efficient and approachable and the local fitting team did a first class job with minimum disruption to my life. All in all a far better experience than expected and so I heartily recommend Wickes Torquay for bathroom supply and fitting.

I was recommended by a friend to use this particular store, saying they were really helpful and would take care of my needs as I flip houses, and at the same time kind of at the age when I should be retired. However,
I now use Wicks for all my materials and building needs because all the members give me confidence in anything I buy, and the staff really help me.

Since day one, meeting Russell and the team its been really amazing. Russell really goes out of his way to help everyone. I had a major problem with a big item I had bought and was really concerned about it, but I needn't have worried cause Tracey, one of the managers, took over and sorted out my problem with great expertise and professionalism, and explained what they would do to help me.

Since going into this store, I don't need or want to use other companies. I have found the team very helpful. than any store I have used in the past, I don't need to worry, I know one of the staff will go out of their way to help. Kia, one of the younger members of staff, is so polite and helpful, a young lad who goes out of his way to help. All the staff, Mary, Anna, Conner, and Andy, look out for all the customers. They are absolutely great, I recommend them all the time; telling my friends to go to Wickes in Torquay, they are the best, and nothing is too much trouble for them. So go on, all you builders and the public, give this store a visit, you won't regret it. A very satisfied customer

We recently bought a bathroom for our Ensuite from the Torquay Branch. Our designer Teresa was brilliant, she helped us, very patiently achieve our perfect bathroom, spending hours getting everything just right. Nothing was too much trouble, her knowledge and expertise was second to none. Everything arrived in tandem on our designated delivery day with great communication from the dispatch team. No hesitation in using Wickes again.

Further Update 1 month in: still have a pile of waste outside front door a month after bathroom completed. Wickes confirmed via Instagram today (person called AB who has been super helpful) that complaints should be responded to in 48-72 hrs, yet 2 weeks since I submitted a written complaint and still no response, also Wickes do not allow you a copy of their complaints policy- why???
Update did have rats living in the waste heap that was up to our downstairs windows.60% waste now gone and rats seem to have gone too 🤞🤞

The worst experience ever, all aspects have been awful (bar Tony the fitter). Designer designed a bathroom that wasn't possible, didn't notice floor joist directions, (flooring was up and obvious). The bathroom has to be revised several times, with multiple compromises.

Half our order didn't turn up before the fitter started (Tony who was excellent), some bits only turned up a week after the fitter had left, still awaiting them to be fitted - update- now fitted by excellent Tony.

Complained to our coordinator, who we only managed to speak to once, they stopped being our coordinator and allocated us a new coordinator who has never spoken to us (still never contacted us despite complaint).

We have all the waste outside our house, it's been there for ten days now.(Update now a month), the contractor has submitted the waste removal request 3 times (update- 6 times - Wickes blamed Tony the fitter every time we called despite him being excellent and completing the forms on front of my wife), but nothing has been done (update-some has been done- waste firm are excellent it's purely all a Wickes issue), we might, if we are lucky get the possibility of a date to have the waste removed tomorrow (update- no we didn't - waste team have been twice without any notice to remove our waste mountain- no one from Wickes has been in touch to update is at all) with a warning that it'll be 7-10 working days time, over 3 weeks after the job was "mostly" finished and the waste removal requested was submitted (this week are told is the best case scenario).

We have spent 17k on a bathroom, contractor charge was 3 x higher than the "kitchen designer" estimated🙄.

We had to coordinate all the deliveries ourselves due to our non existent coordinator. We were also told that we would have to choose a new bathroom counter top as ours hadn't been ordered and was no longer available, "nothing could be done", on calling the manufacturer "yes it could be done" and it was sent out.

We told the coordinator that we were planning on a new kitchen and a new ensuite, another £60K of work, expecting that we could expect some level of service, but in every way Wickes have been awful.

It would be nice if I could update this review to a 2 star if you could get the 2 tonnes of waste shifted from the front of my house as it has been annoying the neighbours as it blows into their gardens and they aren't looking forward to it being their for another 2 weeks (update it's been a month and still there) until wickes eventually remove it, this is a service Wickes was quick to take payment for but not to fulfil.

Further Update wife called again, over 100 phone calls made and the person she spoke to was lovely until they checked "our file" and then they were awful, made my wife cry, we spent a fortune, have raised 2 complaints, have had such poor service, we aren't allowed to have a copy of Wickes complaints policy, a month later we still have a massive pile of waste outside our front door, despite 2 visit to remove it. We had rats living in "Wickes waste pile" and haven't had any response to 2 written complaints other than "your coordinator will be in touch" (that was 2 weeks ago and still waiting) despite the timeline being 48-72 hours! If you want a kitchen done go to magnet if you want a bathroom done call a local plumber instead, just whatever you do don't use Wickes
