Amazing Botswana

We had an absolutely amazing time in Botswana on a small group tour with Wildlife Trails. Allan has obviously been organising safaris for many years as the itinerary was perfect, varied and with so much time out in the field spotting wildlife. He arranged an excellent driver / guide, an expert tracker who always seemed to take us to the right spot at the right time.

We noted at least 30 different mammals and 105 bird species, 92 of were "lifers" for us, plus of course reptiles like crocs and water monitor lizards. Probably even more as it's not easy keeping count when you are surrounded by such fantastic game viewing.

We spent a long time with a cheetah coalition of 2 brothers, and with a young female leopard. A lioness and her 3 tiny cubs, just a few weeks old, casually strolled right alongside our jeep. We saw wild dog puppies around their den, and another pack of adults out hunting. A giraffe suckling her calf, just day's old. Two male lion brothers reuniting and greeting each other like kittens right in front of our eyes. There were herds of elephant families, hippo, wildebeest, so many different antelope. Just totally amazing every single time we ventured out in the jeep.

We stayed in 4 different areas over 10 days, in accommodation ranging from a basic but very comfortable wild camp, where we heard hyena and lions roaring at night, to a friendly, community run guest house just a short drive from the wildlife, to a private lodge with wild dogs and elephant wandering through, before finishing up in a lovely hotel right on the Chobe river, where we had both a sunrise and sunset cruise.

Every detail was carefully planned and delivered, with some surprises added along the way, like a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta, and a mokoro canoe safari.

If you want to maximise your wildlife viewings, we would most definitely recommend Allan at Wildlife Trails to design the perfect safari for you.

Trip of a lifetime

Trip with my boys in their 20's and best mate to see bears, whales and more on Vancouver Island (Campbell River/Tofino) and then to the Rockies (Moraine Lake/Banff).
Had some amazing wildlife sightings which included grizzly bears catching salmon from rivers, humpback whales jumping and playing in the ocean, our black bear sightings were numerous including a mother and it's cub being chased up a tree by another bear. Also saw killer whales, sea otters rafting, sea lions basking in the sun and more.
The Rockies did not disappoint - Lake Moraine & Moraine Lake Lodge where absolutely stunning, Banff National Park was breathtaking and the town itself lovely.
We could not have asked for more.

The trips and destinations booked for us where all perfect and I do not think that we would have seen the wildlife and amazing places we did without the tour operators expert knowledge of the areas and tour providers.

Amazing, well planned Conservation Safari

I was a very positive experience working with Wildlife Trails in planning my trip, especially during these uncertain travel times. (Luckily, my trip went according to plan.)
All my inquiries were quickly answered, and I felt well prepared for my trip to Kenya.
All the details were well thought out, the accommodations beautiful and comfortable, the food delicious. The tour leaders were exceptional, knowledge, friendly, professional and fun.

Fantastic Polar Bear viewing

We visited Churchill to see the polar bears on a trip organised by Wildlife Trails. It exceeded our wildest expectations. We were treated to amazing views of sparring polar bears as well as mothers with cubs. This is the fourth time we've used Wildlife Trails and each trip has confirmed our faith in their ability to provide us with superb holidays. We highly recommend them.

You won't get a better service than this from a wildlife travel company

I booked a week at Zimanga in South Africa for June 2020 with Trai Anfield. It was set to be the pinnacle of my wildlife photography experiences. Alan at Wildlife Trails handled all the travel arrangements. As with so many trips like this, Covid intervened and it was cancelled. Alan was simply fantastic, both in advising on the original travel arrangements, booking the flights and then refunding them, even before the airline (Emirates) had actually refunded Wildlife Trails. I was more than happy to let the company keep my deposit in the hope that I could go in 2021, but that again proved impossible. As soon as that became clear, Alan refunded the deposit. You can't ask for more than that from a travel company. It's been a very tough time for all small specialist operators like Wildlife Trails, but I have been so impressed by the way Alan has handled my booking and the refunds. They are a great company and one I will definitely use again when things return to some sort of normality.

After booking a safari for July 2020…

After booking a safari for July 2020 just before the first lockdown in March and subsequently it being cancelled I would just like to say how well Allan and Kirsty handled the refund process with them refunding the holiday part quite quickly If only the air lines were as well organised with the flight refunds these only now being finally repaid in December
Would I use Wildlife Safaris again yes definitely (hopefully without the effects of COVID) and I am looking forward to enjoying Wildlife adventures again soon

Wildlife Trails - A great experience

It's always a pleasure to travel with Wildlife Trails. From the early ideas, through the planning process & the actual travel, it's all part of an experience that we have repeatedly enjoyed. Wildlife Trails is our company of choice for many amazing destinations for about the last18 years. Most recently was India, one of our favourite places, and Namibia. The latter being a destination travelling with Allan Blanchard (Wildlife Trails owner with his wife Kirsty). Both trips were brilliant & stunningly memorable, as have been all our trips. Most importantly, there is enormous attention to detail & a feeling of partnership in the planning process that helps to own the trip from the very beginning. Wildlife Trails comes highly recommended by us.

Excellent experience

Recently, we were unfortunate enough to have to cancel our much anticipated trip to India, part of which was arranged by Wildlife trails, due to the pandemic.
They have given us full refund as we do not know when or even if we will be able to travel there in the near future, and we would like to thank them for this and assure them that should we be able to travel there in the future we will rebook with them without any hesitation.
Thanks for excellent service!

Fantastic Customer Service

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip due to covid-19 and Wildlife Trails were extremely helpful in arranging the refund which we actually received far quicker than expected. We hope to be able to book again with them in the future.

Fifteen Good Years

This company started over 15 years ago as Tiger Trails and morphed into Wildlife Trails as it added new destinations. I started booking tailor made Safari trips through them first to India and later to other countries. My experience with them in India has been unfailingly excellent, and, by gradual expansion and personal research, they have achieved similar standards in Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Arctic. We recently returned from our best ever safari trip to Kenya and South Africa where we saw rare and endangered animals including wild dogs, black and white rhino, aardvark and pangolin.
