Well worth a visit

We recently visited for breakfast and would visit again. We had the full English - one veggie and one meat and thoroughly enjoyed it. We found that there was plenty on the plate and cooked to perfection. We both had cappucinos which were also delicious. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

We did experience a small inconvenience by waiting approx.10 mins to be served (in an empty restaurant) and asked the loud rock music to be played slightly quieter so that we could hear eachother! When I mentioned this to Wildwood, they instantly offered a £10 voucher which actually made us feel like a valued customer and so we will be returning.

Don't order pasta!!!

Don't order pasta!!!
I have been with my friend in Stratford upon Avon to try some carbonara pastas at this place... they came after 50min, because we've asked why it is taking so long.
My friend found a bit of plastic bag in her pasta and the waiter just said " no worries, we will replace them" no excuses or something...

The sauce for pastas was made with flour and milk probably as you could feel the tast of it.. those weren't carbonara pastas for sure.

We will never eat there again.

Highly Recommended

Always enjoy coming to Wildwood (Telford). The menu has a good variation of veggie dishes and happy to substitute food stuff for me when there is something I don't like. Reasonably priced. Decor is fabulous, I love the wood on the walls and the display shelves. The open kitchen with a big burner is fantastic also.

Food was has always been delicious whenever I’ve visited & the standard is consistent. It’s cosy and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I also love the fact you can see the kitchen from where you’re sat.

The restaurant is perfect for a small, intimate meal or a social group of friends. It caters for everyone.

Definitely one of my go-to places if I want to eat out. And I’d highly recommend the place to any of my friends or family.

Lovely decor, too bad the food isn't that good

Went here with a family member recently. Never been before. The place is decorated very nicely, which is what attracted us. It's very modern, with a calming colour scheme and lots of natural light coming through the windows. We were sat down next to a table of four younger people, and i wasn't entirely happy with that, as the place was near empty and we could have been sat elsewhere, but i didnt say anything as I didnt want to be difficult.
The greeting by the service staff wasn't particularly friendly, and they took a while to take our drinks order. Really, for a place that isn't busy, they should have taken our drinks order faster. i asked for a glass of wine, and asked for some ice to be put in it. my son ordered some cider. they brought the drinks, and my wine only had this single, half melted ice cube floating in it, and my son's cider glass only had around 3 ice cubes in it, rather than full of ice. sorry, did the price of ice go up or something? or are the staff just being lazy? i still didn't complain, though. anyway, we ordered our food, and for what you get, the prices are pretty expensive. i ordered some risotto, a portion for one, and it cost around £!5. didn't come with anything. just the risotto. my son's pasta dish cost the same. we waited a fairly long time for our food, again in spite of there not be many customers at all. finally, our food was brought to us. the portions were small. my risotto was okay, but nothing special. i've had better risotto at frankie and benny's. it was also supposed to come with prawns and courgette, and they only give you around 4 prawns and five or six small pieces of courgette. my son's pasta was okay as well, nothing special. we've had much better pasta at other places. so their food was entirely mediocre. then we ordered dessert, and the portion size on that was also very small. the tiramisu wasn't that good. i've had better from Aldi.
but what i wanted to say was that around halfway through our meal, one of the young women from the table beside us chucked this rolled up paper my way, and it landed beside my handbag which was beside me. while i dont think she meant to aim it at me, i think she was just being rude and stupid, it made me angry that anyone coud lack such basic manners. i looked up at them, and none of them were looking over. no apology. nothing. i'm sorry, but i wasn't raised by wolves and so i would never throw rubbish towards someone in a nice restaurant. i mean, who does that????? i was angered by it, as i hadn't wanted to sit by them in the first place, but i didn't want to make a scene so i said nothing. but it really made me angry. but i guess that sort of behaviour is typical for the area where this restaurant is (Hinckley). the restaurant is nicer than the calibre of the locals around it. so be mindful that if you do go here, you might be sat beside a group of ***** like that. finally, they brought the bill, and they had added 10% for tip. wasn't thrilled about this, either. i dont like when restaurants do this. so, for two people, our bill was over £50, which isnt cheap for lunch. overall? a nice place to go to, as again the decor is lovely, but the food isn't that good nor is the service. you can do better than this. no wonder it wasn't busy.

Visited the Skipton restaurant on 11th April, the woman who greeted us just seemed disinterested and abrupt. A different waitress then served us at the table, she was pleasant enough. The place just lacked attention to detail and any ambience. I'm afraid to say I won't be going again.

Skipton wildwood, avoid at all costs

Waiting time was abysmal. Nobody came near us for at least an hour, not even to check if we wanted a drink whilst we waited. Terrible service in Skipton, very disappointing as I have eaten in others and the service was great.

Voucher

I used 2 x Jan £10 off vouchers at restaurants but it turned out I could only use one because of the Pos system error. I emailed CS and they agreed the pos has error on it but disagree to make up to my lost. The professional CS even ignored me since then…

Shocking Manager attitude

I have previously visited Wildwood in Northwich and left them 5 star reviews.

How ever today we ordered 2 specials and drinks we got the bill and just paid it was only when my bank text the transaction i noticed we had been overcharged.

I called the restaurant and questioned the charges only to be told the lasagne ordered wasn't on the specials board, apprently we ordered the wrong lasagne despite holding the specials board when ordering.

The manager later called back and was so rude it was unbelievable, apprently It's the customers responsibility to state at the time of order they want the special menu, I explained we had the specials board in my hand when ordering only to be told I didn't and they would not be refunding.

Well for £10 I really can't be bothered, the hospitality trade needs as much businesss as possible at this moment in time, with the managers rude and uncaring attitude like I experienced today I certainly won't be going back. Even if she had offered a goodwill gesture of a drink or something I would have accepted and returned another day.

Manager needs some urgent customer service skills training before she loses more customers, terribly rude and uncaring attitude.

Didn't Sign Up for A Service Charge

Food and service was great however the price took the goodness out of the food. Where on the menu does it state that there's a service charge, I didn't sign up for that! Problems with the bill in the first place not applying the Christmas premium meal that they suggest and then once corrected a service charge was placed on top of our bill to bump it up. Absolutely diabolical!!!

Mixed views on visit to Telford branch

Mixed views on visit to Telford branch. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Very busy and staff couldn’t keep up. Took 1 hour from time we arrived until main courses arrived. All were hot apart from 1 which was lukewarm, but we were so hungry we didn’t challenge and check back didn’t come until we were 3/4 through our meals. Lady was very apologetic and discounted bill. Normally far better than this , so the branch need to staff sufficiently to obtain best customer experience and support their hardworking staff.
