Lack of Customer Service

Ordered grips for my 1911. Received the grips and they only fit their guns. Customer service indicated not returnable. I will never order anything else from this company, and I suggest you do the same.

Not the company they use to be.

I ordered a shotgun side saddle for my 870 Remington from Wilson Combat. Once installed, it disabled my trigger. I contacted Wilson Combat via email, explained the issue and inquired as to returning it. All I received was an email with return instructions. No solution to what the problem might be, what they could do to help, no questions at all. They clearly don't care if their product works or not on your gun. To top it all off I have to pay return shipping for an item I suspect they knew didn't fit. So I had to pay shipping twice for the item. Never again WC, you've lost my business.

Wilson combat classic is worst fit gun I have ever owned

I purchased a brand new WC classic 1911 from midway last week. I got it home and was swapping out the grips to keep the OEM grips nice when I noticed that the fit of the two safeties is just terrible.

The thumb safety was blended too much and when it is in the up position the hole underneath is exposed.

The grip safety is just a mess with a huge uneven gap on the right side and slim gap but rounded corner on the left.

The grip safety can be wobbled back and forth quite a bit due to the gap.

I emailed WC and was told that the safeties on this model fit poorly because they are cast. I then called and spoke to "customer service" for 55 minutes and got nowhere but was told over and over that if I didn't want cast parts I shouldn't have bought this gun but a different model. I pointed out that nowhere in the description does it say it had cast parts.

Wilson combat said I could send it in to be fixed but I would have to pay for the custom work. After 55 minutes of arguing they agreed to send me a single sided CAST thumb safety which should cover the hole but I have to install it myself. They wouldn't do anything about the grip safety other than to tell me that's just how they are cast unless I wanted to pay them to fix it.

MidwayUSA was equally unhelpful.

I thought Wilson combat made quality guns and stood behind them but I guess the joke is on me for buying a $4000 gun that has worse fit than ATI's I bought for $350 10 years ago.

In the end I’m left with a $4000 gun that I’m embarrassed to show to my friends who know anything about how guns should be fit.

Wilson Combat Misleading Shipping Method

Updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Wilson Combat customer support has been responsive and helpful, but i still believe they can correct this and prevent from happening again to other customers, hence the 4 stars.

I ordered extractor spring on April 24, 2025 at 9am eastern time worth $9. From Wilson Combat (WC) website, they offer UPS 2nd Day Air shipping for $15 which for me means that i could get it on April 26. Shipping cost is more than the cost of item i purchased which is fine with me cause I needed it asap. But i was super disappointed because i did not receive the item until April 28, 5pm.

I just wished WC could have been more forewarning about shipping expectations. 2nd Day Air is somehow misleading.

This business to business partnership like WC and UPS is a little shady at the expense of their customers. If one or the other failed to deliver, it becomes a finger-pointing game.

So, my suggestion is WC needs to be more clear in their online ordering system about UPS 2nd day air. Don’t let your customer pay more for a service that you know your business partner (in this case UPS) cannot deliver. You are still responsible for what you put in your website.

Wilson part of the problem not the solution

Love my wilson combat 45acp 1911, the only reason i give 3 stars is because i just found out how ANTI 2ND AMMENDMENT they are wich suprised me. I live in NJ and just tried to order a stripped lower at a good price...they wont ship to me in jersey only to a dealer?? Come on really??? They are part of the problem nit the solution! Screw them, went to psa, ordered a qaulity stripped lower with NO PROBLEMS for cheaper....and YES psa is qaulity. At the end of the day a stripped reciever is just a parts holder....once again wilson....take your overpriced anti 2nd ammendment crap and shove it!

Wilson Combat EDC X9 is a great Firearm! HOWEVER, ant Company that take 90 to 120 days to cut my slide for an Optic has something Seriously Wrong! Don’t blame it on COVID! I’m tired of that crap excuse! You need to hire more experienced personnel or do so serious training. It kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth if a $3,000.00 Firearm ! Shameful!!!

I spent over 6 months awaiting a competition pcc from Wilson Combat to getba beautiful, but not legal for competition use gun when it was the focus of every conversation I had with their team and got a response along the lines of too bad you should have payed better attention, even though I was willing to pay for the fixes to correct the errors after the first phone call I was told they no longer do that startle anymore and there was nothing to be done about it.... After ( understandable frustrating morning of back and forth for the price I spent on the gun) spending all morning talking to different people and calling back I finally had someone " talk to their manager" abd were willing to do what I asked from the beginning on my dime. Which I wasn't looking for anything free just it done right... so we will see here in a few weeks if it works put as they say or if they are trying to shut me up.... ill be going somewhere else for my next custom gun though.

First time for everything, and Never AGAIN!

First time for everything! I saw the SIG-SAUER P320 Grip Module thought it would be a good idea to get one, go to the website tried to add my shipping address and then add my billing address and WOW! after 4 times, then the system would tell me that I cannot ship to a P.O. BOX. WOW! Mind you both of my addresses are from a P.O. Box, one from UPS Store and one from a USPS Office. Now they STOP my order and they will not answer my email. Why can they reship another item? I was told NO, they have to wait until my original order gets back to them, I REALLY THINK THIS WAS A BAD IDEA TO ORDER ANYTHING from Wilson Combat! Now they reshipped my order and they sent it out on pony express, WOW U GUYS SUCK!
