I needed Customer Services to help me out with a complicated order. What an amazing service - almost by return they had sorted the order and despatched it. The order arrived next day. A superb service, the products I ordered are amazing, fully recommend their use
Skilled and careful cut
Paul took time and care to do a great cut to restyle my hair and to explain which products to use to make the most of his cut.
Paul is a Master
Paul is a Master!
Each time I have a haircut it turns out superb! My curly hair are too difficult for a hairdresser to achieve a slick outcome however, Paul through his talent is always successful!!
Windle products I used so far are easily adopted by my hair and I am happy with the texture provided. Regarding the atmosphere and the politeness of the staff at the salon I was surprised as I did not encounter any “attitude” you frequently get from other famous salons. I wholeheartedly recommend Windle salon.
Windle renewed my hair!
I am a curly woman and it is not easy to find a product. So when I started using the serum and the curly cream I was so thankful! The products start out with an amazing fresh smell. They don't create patches, are not oily they don't stick, they leave my hair fluffy, voluminous, shiny and very well styled. I am hooked in Windle products!
Fabulous products and services
I have been using the Fortifying range for six months now and I can honestly say there is a significant improvement in the quality of my hair, it looks and feels thicker. I always prefer to air dry my hair and since using the Windle products the hair is shiny and bouncy without adding any sort of heat or styling it in any way. Regular hair cuts add to the shape and wavy style (thank you Paul!!). The styling products are brilliant as well. When I want to give the waves a curly definition, I use the Curl Enhancer cream and it’s an instant effect. I love the philosophy of their products, the fact that there are refill options, less plastic, they’re vegan, but most importantly they’re based on actual research and work done with dermatologists and chemists.
I’ve never been one to keep to a strict regime of hair care and having a hair cut every three months. I’ve never even stuck to a certain hair care range, never saw the benefit and always wanted to see what else is out there. But I’m sold on the Windle products and the salon, the quality of the products and expertise of Paul and his team have honestly been a game changer for my hair and my self esteem, really. Thank you!

Buy the bundle first & find out what works for you as I find their products overpriced
I bought the bundle and will give the shampoo and conditioner 3 stars. Nothing special at all
The curl enhancer I will give 1 as the curls that were slightly enhanced went a bit brittle & disappeared after half an hour. The thickening cream did nothing at all so those two I will give 2 stars but the invisible spray which doesn’t seem to be mentioned in any other reviews seemed to make my dry blonde ends look stronger & less frail so I might be buying more of that.
5 products and only one I liked. Very disappointing !
I think 3 stars overall is very fair

Just WoW
Wow, what an amazing product, just wish I had found it sooner . As a 78 year old woman who beat cancer, I lost my hair, when it grew back it was much thinner and I couldn’t do much with it, I saw this thickening cream, gave it a try, such a game changer, my hair looks fabulous, thicker, shinier and I’ve had so many comments, best money I’ve ever spent, thank you Windle Lab

The best product I have ever used
I've been using the Fine Curl Enhancer for a couple of months and am completely in love with it! It is the best product I have ever used on my fine, thinning (I'm in my 70s), curly hair. My hair is no longer the mass of frizz it has been for most of my life. This miraculous cream has transformed the frizz into bouncy curls. It has replaced 3 products - mousse, volume spray, and curl cream - and I am so glad I've discovered it! Thank you, Windle! (And thanks for the free postage - much appreciated!)

Windle London Lab are the by far the…
Windle London Lab are the by far the best in the hair industry. Paul, the Director of Windle, has curated his artwork and his knowledge of hair and ingredients to create an amazing lab, where all the products leave your hair feeling nourished, full of volume and healthy. They have a range of different products which I swear by. For example, I have naturally curly hair and the Invisible Day and Night Spray is absolutely incredible and the product is also a detangler too, which helps massively as I have curly hair and it does matte after washing. I won’t use any other products. I could go on about each product as I love these products so much, they’re simply that fabulous.
Love yah Windle!

I had a problem with a windle product but have been very impressed with their customer service department. I spoke with an extremely pleasant lady who could not have dealt with my issue more efficiently than she did.
Well done windle.

The first hair products that stop my frizzy hair
The first hair products that keep my curly hair in check. I came in to Covent Garden salon and got great advice from Paul on how to manage my hair. I’m going to ditch the drawerful of other products I’ve tried. Bought curl enhancer and invisible night and day cream Next is a trip to the salon for a treatment.

Fantastic products and salon
Really love the product range. Been using the shampoo and conditioner for years - it’s a nourishing wash that feels more natural without striping the hair. Product lasts a long time.
Also use the leave in conditioner, thickening, and salt spray — all fantastic. Definitely recommend the salon too - all the highest quality services and people.

Admin/managerial team
I have been going to Windle for 7 years and was generally happy. The reason for giving them one star is their admin/managerial team.
A week before the event, I made an appointment for Saturday. On Friday I called to confirm the time and was told the appointment was at 1.30pm. They usually send SMS reminders but there wasn’t one since June.
On my way to the train on Saturday, I called to see if my colourist was running late. Sometimes she does and I like to know in advance to shop in the area or get a coffee.
The receptionist told me that there wasn’t an appointment. I was surprised, having confirmed the day before. I was also frustrated as I am a working mother and had arranged for a nanny on Saturday to make the appointment.
I asked the receptionist to speak to my hairdresser. She put me on hold but then said that my hairdresser was busy with her clients and wouldn’t pick up the phone. The manager couldn’t speak with me either but the receptionist said he would call me back asap. This happened twice or more but no one called.
I was at the train station when I called and asked the receptionist to ask the manager to find anyone else, however junior. The receptionist refused, she said I was being rude to her. To be fair, I was being rather firm and direct (but not being rude) as I had received no apology for their booking problems, no attempt at finding a solution. When I asked her how I was being rude, her response was that me telling her to ask her manager to find a solution was rude. She hung up next time I called.
When I arrived at the salon, I saw the manager/owner. He told me he was busy and asked me to come back in an hour. A client who was there for an appointment was meant to walk around for an hour. He then walked out with me. I was completely frustrated but all he could say was that I should calm down. He didn’t want to listen to me. He blamed me for missing an appointment the week before (which I don’t believe I had and for which I received no reminder if I did have it. In any event I don’t believe I missed any of the 50-60 appointment I had with them in the past). He was condescending and hostile from the first seconds - I don’t know what he was told before I arrived. Frankly, based on his reaction I don’t think he ever knew he was meant to call me to agree an alternative professional.
I find it difficult to believe that one would be like that to anyone before letting that person explain their position. Even if they are trying to protect their employee which in other circumstances would be a good thing.
At my frustration that I was there for an appointment I had made, that I had to arrange for childcare, etc. etc., all he said was that I should calm down and that no wonder the receptionist complained.
They completely stressed me out by losing my appointment, not even apologising for it, by refusing to put me in touch with my hairdresser, with the manager, by refusing to see if anyone else was available, and they demanded that I showed no emotion / no stress as an result of it.
When I disagreed with his claims of missed appointment, etc., the owner became insulting, he became personal, he started moving closer and closer to me tilting his head forward. It became very uncomfortable and physical.
I believe behind all this was an issue with their booking. I believe the receptionist was being unprofessional, inconsiderate and dismissive but even if I was in the wrong (which I don’t believe), was it ever acceptable for the owner to become personal and insulting to me (whether a complete stranger or a regular client at a premium salon), to make remarks about a complete stranger’s personality? Is it ever okay to be physically threatening?
That said, I will still try to be fair to them.
First, I mentioned to the owner that they seemed to have first rate and second rate clients. He didn’t let me finish my point. My point was that my hairdresser refused to talk to me on the phone when I needed only two minutes of her time. I am not sure how fair I was as now I am not sure she even knew I was trying to reach her.
Secondly, after the owner left, he came back out looking for me a couple of minutes later and asked to start again. He apologised and said life was too short and that he didn't feel good about how he was with me. He didn’t seem fake to me. He said he pushed things around to make time to speak with me. You can give him the benefit of doubt if you’d like but I don’t. It might be that he felt telling me to walk around for an hour was not appropriate in case of a working mother who had to arrange for paid childcare to come to a hairdresser. We went to a coffee shop nearby and I pushed myself to chat with him appreciating his step but I was too upset to do it and left.
It goes without saying that I will not be going back.

Curl enhancer absolutely fabulous!
I had my hair styled at Windle London by Peter Russell who as ever was an absolute star, the man's a genius and so kind 🤩 He used Windle Lab Curl Enhancer and sent me away with a sample which I have use today for the first time. I have tricky hair, fine, fragile, wavy/curly, prone to frizz and damaged by my straightening it as I've never managed to genuinely like it in its natural state. I'm absolutely blown away by the results I've achieved today and have come here to tell anyone who'll listen! It's amazing stuff - just a little bit twisted into my hair when wet and then left to air dry and I can't stop smiling. Give it a go!

Personally love their curl enhancer
Personally love their curl enhancer, I just think people don’t know how best to use it. Always gives me the best curls that stay put and smells amazing. I’m tempted to try their shampoo now.. yes it’s sticky, more sticky than I was expecting but you don’t need a lot to get results and it washes off easily with warm water and soap. I personally use it when hair is wet, rake it through then scrunch, diffuse then ‘scrunch out the crunch’ then voila, hair is done and my curls are soft and bouncy. You’re supposed to scrunch out any ‘crispiness’ and don’t use too much. It acts between a bit of a toss-up between a mousse and gel, rather than a cream. Hope this is useful to those considering…

Curl Enhancer : don't know if women with mixed textured hair are the target customer though
I first discovered Windle London years ago because of their great hair cuts. I walked into their Covent Garden salon... cool women...looked bored 'We don't cut your kind of hair'. Walk of shame out the door again. Pretty standard casual racism, if you are a black woman with mixed textured hair. They may be different now who knows? So, blow me down, years later they now do a curl enhancer: clean ingredients, sustainable packaging and award winning in the curly or textured hair category. Their online branding doesn't feature black women though so wasn't sure if I was the target market. I desperately needed a leave in conditioner/ curl enhancer and wanted clean and sustainable so I had a go. Yes nice curls crunchy on day one, but curls still looked OK on day two and no crunch. After decades of hair salon related bad experiences and the 'frizz' rhetoric I'd prefer to use an inclusive brand though.
