I feel compelled to issue a warning to…

I feel compelled to issue a warning to potential customers considering this service, as my experience highlighted several misleading aspects of their offering. Initially attracted by what appeared to be a 'discounted' price on the website, I was dismayed to discover that this price only covered the photo shoot itself, with no images included. To actually receive any photos, one would be required to pay in the vicinity of $1000. This critical information was not readily visible, especially when viewing on a mobile device, where it's hidden unless you opt to "show more." The true cost only became apparent after the contract was signed, and the payment was made, at which point I was informed that refunds are categorically not provided under any circumstances.

Further complicating matters, the booking portal restricts title expansion, where crucial details regarding deposits or additional costs might be mentioned. Without the supposed discount, each photo is priced at $239, necessitating a minimum purchase of 5 photos - totaling an astonishing $1195 for just 5 digital images. For those prices, it might be prudent to consider alternative services.

Upon expressing my concerns about these unexpected costs to Tanha, the suggestion to cancel the shoot was promptly made. Ironically, the shoot day was marred by rain, which would have precluded the event from proceeding, yet no flexibility or exceptions were offered to accommodate this unforeseen circumstance.

I was misled by the advertising, and the quick suggestion to cancel the shoot upon raising my unawareness of the extra costs felt dismissive rather than helpful. No exemptions or accommodations were afforded or offered due to the weather conditions either.

Given these experiences, I strongly recommend that anyone considering this service first thoroughly investigates their consumer rights with the ACCC and the Queensland Office of Fair Trading. It's crucial to be fully informed and aware of your rights and the potential costs involved with this service.
